    Good morning.

I think we have that sort of weather today Nan2. Yesterday was lovely.

Daisy that sounds a lovely day.

Oma, my mum could never work the stair lift at the care home for the same reason. The staff had to keep reminding her to press the button.

Little E is serving us from his play cafe
SIL bought some pastries from the posh artisan bakery for us all , so we will have a second breakfast!

I am due to sit with GS1 this evening while DD1 has an evening with her friends. No other plans. I went to aqua class on Friday and will tomorrow, I'm giving today a miss.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

      Good Sunday morning everyone.

Nanto, that looks like a very wet day on you graphic. It could have been taken when we were coming home last night! I looks like the sort of day to stay at home and keep warm and dry.

Gem, Costa seems to have cafes in lots of hospitals. Our main hospital has got an M&S cafe and a Subway as well. They all seem to be busy. I bet little E enjoyed serving you from his play cafe. Our neighbour's little GD had a play kitchen and she rustled up all sorts of amazing dishes from it. It's a wonderful way for them to use their imagination. I'm glad to hear you managed to get to aqua on Friday. I hope DD1 has a good evening out with her friends, and you and GS1 have a good evening.

Lizzie, you will be busy in the kitchen, cooking two separate meals for your GDs. I do hope you can get your new exercise bike assembled soon. It must be frustrating seeing the boxes there.

Oma, big changes for you with your new fridge-freezer. It sounds as though the larder cupboard was well-used. I hope MIL is ok today and you don't have to go over there. How are DD and SIL getting on with their bathroom disaster?

So far it's dry here this morning, although there is a lot of standing water from last night's rain. We'll go over and fetch Eva back later on, but otherwise I think it will be a quiet day for us.

        Morning ladies
I'm abit slow this morning after a sleepless night,
I've had a hot shower hoping it will refresh me,

        Daisy
DD came yesterday , she said it's drying out slowly but she can't get the smell out of her nostrils 😁
She has ordered the new vanity unit , the same as the one they have ripped out so she knows it will fit without alterations.

After a busy day yesterday you will need a restful relaxing day today,
What's happening with J's car is it fixed ?

        Gem
The imagination of a small child is amazing , our boys had a small shop with a till and a card that swiped and made the bleeping noise ,
Mind you sometimes it was expensive a broccoli for £100 😁

I'm pleased your keeping up with your Aqua , you need it LV XXX

        Nanto
Your graphic is so appropriate today ,
        Dark wet and miserable,

B has been busy plastering the wall where the larder stood as it had safety brackets keeping it secure to the wall ,
Then he will start to take the old flooring up bit by bit,
Won't get the new flooring till sometime next month , SIL is booked out and the flooring has to be ordered in ,
It's not something they have room to keep in stock .

The lady who came for the larder unit yesterday came in nissan juke,
B said that's never going to fit in there , but she said she had the same one and it would,
She was right, mind you it touched the front windscreen and she couldn't see her passenger side mirror,
B said if she gets stopped by the police she will get a fine
This unit was 7ft tall ,

I hope she got home with no misshap.

DD and Sil will be back from their short break this afternoon. It is Sil’s 60th birthday today so they are stopping for a nice lunch on the way home. No doubt we shall be drinking his health later. GD and her OH have taken H to a climbing wall. I am not planning to do anything, bowls on television to watch. No cleaner this week but she has assured me she will be here this Thursday, that will be three weeks. I am not very happy with her, she doesn’t let me know when she is not coming. I shall be having words. There are lots os ads from. Cleaners wanting work.

Oma, sounds like quite a big job to accommodate the new freezer. I hope your DD will feel stronger now after her virus. Mil sounds settled for a bit, shame about the lift control.

Gemini Is your DD going to be staying in hospital until the medics have done all the tests needed?

Plant she was due to go home this afternoon, but there has been a slight setback. Fingers crossed she still can later today.

MIL just doesn't listen, the controls are easy to use you just have to hold it.

Sounds like you will be having a little drink this evening then😁
                Happy Birthday to your SIL🎂

I think you need to be getting a more reliable cleaner,
Not to tell you she isn't coming is just bad manners in my opinion.

I hope H has a lovely time on the climbing wall, it helps with fear of heights I'm told.

                Gem
Fingers crossed DD gets home xxx

MIL rang yesterday, the care at home team had been and her oxygen was low but she hadn't been on it
She was told in the hospital she must use it 24 hours a day apart from obvious things like getting washed making something to ect.

She told the nurses that the Drs said 4 hours a day,
No that was her nebuliser to use up to 4 times a day.

Then she said to B last night no one told me I had to use it during the night,
B said , Mam what do you think 24 hours mean?
She said well I didn't think it meant during the night 🙄

God helps us , that woman is trying us .

DD3 can go home once her meds are ready from the pharmacy. So SIL and Little E are going home too. I can go to look after GS1 at home as planned. I had him on standby to be dropped here if needed!
DD1 is going out early, which means I should be home early.

Plant, happy 60th birthday to your SIL. I am sure you will toast his big day this evening. Did H enjoy the climbing wall? Your cleaner needs to be more reliable. Just not turning up and not letting you know isn't fair.

Gem, I hope DD3 didn't have to wait too long for her meds. I hope DD1 enjoys her evening out.

Oma, your MIL would win national awards for being contrary, argumentative and downright difficult. I ope she's got everything clear in her head now.

We fetched Eva back from DS2's at lunch time. She had been ill in the night - blood stained diarrhoea. She was a bit subdued and didn't eat her breakfast (which was probably just as well). I rang the vets and as we thought, it's most likely the NSAID painkillers she's on, so we've had to stop them for now. The vet said it could also be the combined effect of the painkillers and the sedatives she had on Friday. I'm hoping she will eat a little bit of poached white fish for her tea. I hope we get the results of her blood test tomorrow or Tuesday. She's slept all afternoon.

We're both tired after our lovely day yesterday, and don't even feel hungry. I think we both need an early night tonight.

Daisy, hope Eva feels better soon.

Plant, hope SIL had a lovely 60th birthday.

                      Gem, hope DD is home.

No plans for us. Hoping it's a better day weather wise.

Good morning, very cold here with a keen frost. The wind was bitter yesterday.

I almost got knocked off my bike on Saturday morning, leaving the gym I was on the roundabout, a lady on a cargo bike was coming the other way, she must have been too late for the childs swimming lesson as she decided to cut a corner and at the same time cut me off!!! I managed to stop, luckily, I asked what she was planning!!! She said sorry ten times then rushed on to the swimming lesson! One of the people that had to stop in their cars got out and asked me how I was, I was OK, just a bit shaken and annoyed. I do not like those cargo bikes, at all! They are very popular here, I mean very, I have read what they pay a month to lease them, no wonder they are popular! Most of the people have no idea how cycling works, they put their children in danger, me as well!!! The dual nationality school near me, oh dear, I avoid cycling past that twice a day!!

Daisy, I hope that Eva is better today, sad really as they can't tell you how they feel. I am pleased that you enjoyed seeing the grandsons, I can understand you being tired!

Plant, I hope that you get your cleaner sorted soon.

Oma, you both deserve medals for coping with the MIL!!

I ended up going to the GD's yesterday, I was going to pick them up to come here for the meal, GD1 phoned to ask me what time, she sounded ill and she is, she has the flu, she does the work experience with young children and gets all the germs going. She said that GD2 was studying with her friend until 5pm so I said I would pack my bag in and take the food there! It went really well, GD1 did eat before going back to her bed, GD2 loved her mashed turnip etc, she has enough for today as well, I helped her tidy pots etc away before leaving, she was going back to her books.

Gem, I just read your post about DD3, I am pleased that she is back home again.

I am going to do the coffee this morning, there is a new young lady in charge of the office group, we are having a "get to know you" chat with her this afternoon.

I am hoping someone from the handyman service will get in touch with me this week, otherwise, DS2 will have to help me with the exercise bike.

                          Good morning ladies.

Nan2, DD is home thank you.

Daisy, I hope Eva feels much better today.

That near miss on the roundabout must have been so scary Lizzie.
When I started working with the under 5s I caught one bug after another for weeks. It does get easier.

I hope your DD has a good birthday Plant.

Aqua this morning.. No other plans apart from M &S food hall on the way back.

It's a miserable day here too Oma.

We were out early dropping off OH's car for MOT.
It has passed and her friend who picked her up for golf this morning will take her to pick it up. That saves me driving her over there.

                                Good Monday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, I could just do with joining your furry friend for a relaxed hot drink. I hope it's a better weather day for you today.

Lizzie, that near miss on y our bike must have been scary. It sounds as though there are as many rude, impatient and inconsiderate drivers there as there are here. A lot of people just don't seem to think ahead. Thank goodness you weren't physically hurt as well as being shaken up. Your poor GD1. I hope she's soon better, and the rest of the family escape the flu.

I hope the new lady in charge of the office group realises how lucky she is to have such reliable and good helpers. Enjoy your chat this afternoon.

Gem, good to hear that OH's car passed its MOT. Even better that you didn't have to drive over there to pick it up. Did you get some treats from M&S Food Hall? I think you do become immune to a lot of the bugs over time. When I was teaching I was generally ok until just before the October half term, and I'd lose my voice. I'm sure the students thought that was a blessing!

Oma, I presume no news of MIL is good news? It's quite satisfying to go to the tip from time to time. We still have to book slots, which is a real nuisance.

Eva is obviously feeling a bit better today. I'm feeding her poached white fish and giving her the poaching liquid as well to keep her hydrated. I took her for a short walk first thing and she was quite frisky, and wanted to run. I didn't want to run, though, but we compromised with a very ungainly (on my part) trot. I've spoken to the vet and she's prescribed different pain killers.

I had a blood test booked for this morning, and got there to find I'd left the form from the hospital at home. They printed another one out for me, so it was ok. Then we went to the vets to discuss painkillers for Eva and to get a refund on the other medication, which we hadn't actually picked up.

I mentioned the other day that I'd forgotten to finish my Sainsbury's order last Thursday. While we were in town we went to Waitrose to get the bits we really needed. It's a fairly small store there, and OH was driven mad by people not looking where their trolleys were going. I was reaching down to get something off the bottom shelf and one chap pushed my trolley towards me, hitting my head, and just walked off. I don't think he'd even noticed. I don't know if it was "normal" but it was carnage with badly driven trolleys and people walking round in a complete daze. It was worrying to think that most of them would be getting in a car and driving.

We're having a lazy afternoon. I'm still tired from the week-end and an early start today, but I'll take Eva out for another short walk in a minute.
