Nanto, lovely to see daffodils at this time of the year. There are some actually starting to flower in our road. They always seem to be very early just there. It's not a bad day - a bit of sunshine cheers us all up.
Gem, I hope you feel up to going to your friends' tonight. A nice meal and board games might do you good without putting any pressure on you. I do hope your cold is getting better though. I'm glad DD3 is spending the day with her Dad. It will do her good, and her dad will feel he's helping.
Oma, cramp is horrible. OH gets it sometimes. Do you know what causes it? It's nice to have a free day where you can just relax and do what you feel like.
Clover, did you hear anything more about that awful accident yesterday?
I didn't sleep very well, even though I was tired. But nothing planned for today, so I can relax if I feel like it. We've just had the boiler serviced this morning, so had an early start.
The trouble is when I have a free day I often end up not doing anything much, even though there are things I'd like to do, or ought to do. I must get myself organised.
Someone on one of our local Whats App groups posted a beautiful photo of the Northern Lights last night. She said it was hard to see them, but her phone photo was lovely - really clearly defined colours. It seems our phones can see things we can't!

Well our peaceful day didn't end up that way,
MIL back in hospital so we ended up there,
I brought all her washing home bedding nighties etc,
I've washed dried and ironed them,
I will take them over tomorrow.
I have to be there at 7.30 am for stair lift people and SIL putting carpet down.
Not what I had planned but can't be helped,
Apparently SIL2 can't get up that early 🙄
No because she knows I will do it despite her living a 5 minute walk away.
When that's done I have to go to the hospital with her phone charger and a clean nightie.
It's only down the road from her house but that's not the point I'm getting sick of it now .
Oma, Im sorry to hear your MIL is back in hospital, but I thought your SIL was supposed to be there for the stair lift people and your son in law laying the carpet. No wonder you're fed up - it all seems to fall on your and B's shoulders. Sending hugs. xx
I didn't do much today, but took the time to have a look round the garden and fish leaves out of the pond. I took Eva out in the afternoon, but the wind was biting. I was glad I'd put an extra layer on and Eva had her cosy fleece on.

Good morning, it was lovely here yesterday, wet at the moment though. I went to the huge garden centre, mainly for the farm shop etc, I called in at DS1's on the way home with cheese etc to keep the girls going! Then I managed to get all my windows cleaned outside, they really needed it as well. My leg was playing up but I managed.
Oma, if anyone is admitted to the hospital here many times like your MIL the authorities step in, or the insurance fail to pay the costs. Then something has to be done. It is far too much work and worry for you both.
Oma, your MIL is in and out of that hospital regularly now. Try to take care of yourself xx
I think my cold is improving Lizzie, but still feel a bit wheezy. I cancelled my plans today, which were morning aquafit and afternoon massage.
We did go to our friends last night and it was lovely, to relax and have happy evening was a gift in itself. They know whats going on in the family but also knew beforehand I didn't want to mention it at all.

I'm pleased you had a nice night , it's what you need some normality once in a while,
Finger crossed your cold is on the way out.
Lizzie
I bet the girls appreciated the cheese 😁
Nanto
I remember it was all on your shoulders too,
Daisy
I bet Eva didn't mind the cold in her nice coat,
That wind is bitting though.
We were at MILs for 7.30 am the stairlift people came at 7.45 ,
it took about 10 minutes to take it out .
My SIL came at 9 and they had the old carpet and underlay up and the new ones down in about a hour.
I gave the house a good clean and tidy up , washed surfaces and window sills , cleaned the kitchen, then the bathroom,,
And sorted the spare room , it's become a bit of a dumping ground so got that organised.
B had taken our hoover , so once the carpets were down he hoovered right through,
We then went down the hospital with her stuff,.
Didn't stay long they were taking her for a scan,
We are back home waiting for the stairlift people to ring to say they are on their way back and we will go meet them so they can fit the new one in.
Another day gone .
I'm very tired today as on top of everything else I didn't sleep good last night .
Good Wednesday morning, everyone - or technically, good afternoon!
Lizzie, I think I would spend a whole day inn that garden centre. I'm sure the girls appreciated the cheese, but perhaps you should have rested your leg and left the windows for another day. I suppose we're all guilty of taking on too much sometimes, but we suffer for it later.
Nanto, I remember how you did everything for your in laws, and how hard it must have been at times. At least you can now look back and know that you did your very best for them.
Gem, it's good to hear your cold is improving, but it was sensible to give yourself another easy day. The friends you visited last night sound lovely, and I'm glad you had a good evening. Oma is right about needing a bit of normality.
Oma, what a busy morning you've had. All these sorts of arrangements are very tiring and taxing your strength. I hope MIL appreciates all the work, plus cleaning etc. Sometimes you can get so tired sleep just won't come. I hope tonight will be better.
It's a horrible, wet and dismal day here. We've got lights on everywhere because it's so dark. I've put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, and we've got home-made soup for now. It's definitely a day for comfort food.

Nanto, it seems pretty awful weather all over the country. I've just got back from walking Eva and the wind was biting. I was glad when she chose the short cut back home.
Oma, you must be exhausted after today. I hope tomorrow is easier.

It has been cold here but sunny, I went to the gym later so that I could drink coffee with the friends from the group I used to do, on the way there I called in at the physio, I have an appointment next Tuesday to see what is causing the pain. Then I discovered I had lost an earring I know how, I pull my hood on when it is cold on the bike and catch them.. Never mind, I still have some!!
Oma, take it easy a few days now.xx
Daisy, I hope that all goes well with Eva, will she have to wear a ?shield??
I have just booked a few days away in May, I wasn't planning it then saw something I liked on FB, searched further, a different area and found what I wanted on Airbnb. It is in the water area of the Netherlands, between 2 rivers so plenty of good cycling. I have a photo, it is an apartment on a farm, near the water. d1877215-c87d-48a1-8dc7-3733a16a9355.jpg.jpg
