Hallo everyone, most of the snow has gone now, raining at the moment.

Oma, I hope your son gets the car sorted, sometimes not the best thing to get them returned!! Years ago friends here in the flat had theirs stolen, he was a police officer as well! After a few weeks it was found and had been used by drug dealers etc, the wife soon decided they would get another car as she never felt safe driving it again with the kiddies.

I have been to the doctor as I am so short of breath. I have to go and see a lung specialist but there is a waiting list.

Then I went to the reception of the lady that is leaving the organisation, she has been there 27 years, it was much busier than I expected! She wrote a lovely speech, 16 years ago she was thrown off a horse and broke her neck, she was just recovering from that when I started there, then she got cancer of the breast so had a rough time. Now she can enjoy her pension.

I will see if it is still raining before I go to the library.

Oma, hope your DS gets his car back in one piece.

      Trip into town was good.
I had £3 discount in Bon Marche that was due to expire at the end of this month.
So, i bought a new pair of trousers, i'm ok for trousers but hey ho.

Not had any rain,in fact we have had afternoon sunshine.

We can never have enough trousers Nan2

I sometimes find the cold weather makes me a bit breathless Lizzie, especially when walking to Aquafit on cold mornings.

Daisy, no neighbour M wasn't at the library. I was saying to the librarian he may never come again now he knows!

Gem, it isn't only the cold weather, had it almost a year now.

Lizzie, I hope you don't have to wait long to see the lung specialist. Did your doctor do any checks, even basic ones like blood pressure, blood oxygen levels etc? It sounds as though the lady leaving has had two very lucky escapes in her life. I'm sure everyone will miss her after such a long time.

Nanto, I agree, you can never have enough trousers (although I think I'm getting close!). My OH never understands that I have different trousers for different seasons. How nice to see the sun.

Gem, it will be interesting to see what happens whenever you next see this neighbour, whether it's at home or in the library. Well done on getting everything into boxes. Do you feel better after your reflexology?

Oma, any news on your DS's car?

The most momentous thing to happen to me today was finally catching up with all the ironing. It all mounted up when OH was ill. It was all I could do to look after him and feed us both. I managed to do essential washing, but ironing was out of the question. Thank goodness it's all done now!

Daisy, the doctor did all the checks, I had X ray in October, it could be connected to the dyipid allergies I have The waiting list is 4 or 5 weeks.

Oh Lizzie, I'm glad the doctor has done the essential checks, but I do hope you don't have to wait the full 4 or 5 weeks. Feeling breathless must be horrible. xx

                  Good morning ladies.

Looks like we have a bit of frost this morning.

Part of my plans today is tidying the drawers in both freezers ready for Sainsbury's delivery tomorrow.
Got a few bits of ironing to do as well.

Lizzie, hope you get seen soon.

                    Good morning everyone.
                    Very frosty here.

Daisy, congratulations of tackling the ironing!

That reminds me our freezers could use a post Christmas sort out Nan2.

Aqua for me this morning, no other plans.
I will update about DD3 on that thread.

                      Morning Nanto, Ladies.

                      Nanto
                      We have frost as well

I'm going to MILs at lunch time,
The frailty nurse is coming so I need to be there ,
MIL will lie to her and won't listen to what's been said or forget as soon as she is gone ,
So one of us has to be there and again it falls on my shoulders.

I must check her calendar as there are a few other appointments I have to take her too but I haven't wrote them down ,
I'm waiting for better weather to get her to the opticians.

Have a good day ladies .

                      Gem
                      Yet again we crossed 😁

Hallo everyone, I got a hospital date this morning, not 5 weeks, more 10 0r 11!!! March 23rd. I have got inhalers that I have to use, 2 different ones so I hope that they help. I have been out more these last 2 days and it is a lot easier , I am blaming the dust we get in from the roof, it comes through the ventilators, my doctor told me not to jump to conclusions . The breathing was so much worse when I couldn't get out and about! My neighbour has the same problem with runny nose etc.

I even got to the gym this morning!!

I have been to get my hair cut, short!! It had just got to bob line then I fancy it short! I like my hairdresser, very chatty!!! What she didn't tell me that a street in the village has won the postal code lottery prize!!! She wouldn't know though as I read it when I got back home.

It has been lovely and sunny all day, cheers people up after the snow and ice.

I have done some shopping for the neighbour as her nephew is away skiing in Austria, he will be back on Saturday, he and his wife do so much for her.

Well we ended up at MILs for 5 hours
The Frailty nurse was running late ,
So while we waited I dusted, sitting room , washed her floors , made her lunch and cleaned the bathroom,
B hoovered through made her bed and gave her sofas a hoover, and emptied the bin,

In the meantime electricians came and checked her electricity ready for her new chair lift fitting next Wednesday,

Frailty nurse was lovely but she was there two hours and by the time she left MIL was shattered ,
We had taken her Beef stew and dumplings so we put that in the oven for her and I brought her washing home,
I will take it back on Friday.

She is coming back on the 28th to organise emergency care package , it was too much to go through that today as well,
I was tired and had a headache nevermind MIL.

                            Gem
She has had Specsavers out before but didn't like it, she prefers going into the shop 🙄

                            Lizzie
A haircut makes you feel good doesn't it,
Has your hospital got a cancellation list you can go on?
You may get a earlier appointment if they do.

I'm going to have something to eat and a nice cup of tea now.

Hello everyone. I'm late to the party again!

Nanto, it's surprising how easily freezers get in a mess. I had to tidy our chest freezer before the dog food was delivered last week.

Lizzie, that is a long time to wait for your appointment. Oma's suggestion of asking if you can have a cancellation appointment might help to speed things up. It's awful if the breathlessness is caused by dust coming through the ventilators. If so, I hope the roof can be sorted out, or filters fitted to the ventilators. I'm so glad you feel better going out, though. It's been a bit of a quiet time for you just lately, what with the weather and not feeling too good. I bet your neighbour was very grateful for the shopping. It does you good to have a new hairstyle! I've got a bit stuck in a rut with mine just lately.

Gem, you've been so busy just lately, aqua and a day relaxing will do you good. I hope you didn't find any jobs you felt you "had" to do.

Oma, you must be exhausted after that long session with the Frailty Nurse. You and B have got enough to do looking after yourselves and your own home. Doing MIL's as well is a big ask. More and more I think your MIL needs to be in a care home - you and B can't go on like this. If you were unable to help and it all fell to SIL I'm sure she wouldn't be able to cope either. I do wish MIL would listen to advice. I know you keep trying, but she won't listen, and I wonder what it will take to make her realise things can't go on as they are. Any news about DS's car?

I seem to have had a busy day without doing a lot! It's our GS2's 21st birthday today, and I had a lovely chat with him this morning. He's such a sweetheart. He's celebrating with friends - 2 of them have birthdays this week as well - and is having a family get together on the 24th, which we're looking forward to.

I made a slow-cooked beef casserole for tonight using beef broth instead of a stock cube. I've never used it before, but it's given the meat a lovely flavour. I haven't quite got the enthusiasm for making my own broth, but the supermarket one is very good.

We had some sunshine this morning, and I took Eva out just after lunch and avoided the rain which came later! She's limping on one of her back legs. It's probably stiffness/arthritis due to her age, but we'll take her to the vets and see what they say.

Oma, that was a long morning with MIL.

Lizzie, glad you have an appointment, even though it later than you expected.

Well the freezers were done for 8.30. Drawers washed and everything put back tidy.

Ironing has been done, but i did some washing,so more ironing tomorrow.
                                Happy birthday to your GS2.
