I hope you enjoy the rugby Plant

What lovely rings Lizzie, I love silver rings.

Did you get any gardening done Daisy?

Well the engineer found the problem but can't fix it. Someone else will be along to fix it 'in the next couple of days'.
The good news is no more patchy internet. The bad news, no internet at all, which we didn't realise until he had gone away. Fortunately our lovely next door neighbour has let us log onto his superfast broadband for as long as we want.
Our friend G is taking us to the station tomorrow which is very kind of her. The Sunday bus service isn't very good. We have booked first class both ways on the train, more space and our lunch included We have worked out the tube journey and should have a couple of hours between arriving at the hotel and the show time.

A gloomy day here but no rain.

        Lizzie I will

Yes it's so lucky C next door offered last time we were cut off (we didn't take him up on it as we weren't off for long. that time) I messaged him today and he sent me the details straight away. They are the other half of the semi, so the same house in a way!

That is handy for the internet, I could do the same with next door, only we have the same provider so if I have problems they will as well!!!

What a good neighbour, we are having a bit trouble with our landline through Sky also.
I hope you have a lovely time at the Abba experience,
I have heard great reviews of it.

Gem, thats very good of your neighbour to let you use their internet.
Hope you enjoy the Abba Experience.

There were two cards i didn't get at the garden centre. They were what we call cutie cards,we prefer something a bit more traditional.
We will have to have look round when we are out and about.

Oma,glad there was no drama from MIL.

Oma, you must go to visit MIL half expecting a drama. It must seem strange when there isn't one, but I'm very glad for your and B's sakes. Was she pleased with the apple turnover?

Gem, your neighbours are very kind, but I hope you don't have to wait too long for your connection to be repaired. You're well organised for your trip to London. My DIL1 was in the West End last night and the Christmas lights looked lovely. She went to see Level42 at the Palladium. It's a good idea travelling first class on a long journey. It's much quieter, more comfortable and as you say, it includes a meal. I've just looked at the London weather forecast for tomorrow, and it looks cloudy and a bit chilly, but at least they're not predicting rain. Fingers crossed for you.

Nanto, what a pity you didn't get all the cards you needed. Good luck with finding the elusive ones you want.

Plant, I don't think my OH realised the rugby was on. Glad it was a good game, though.

Lizzie, oh, no wonder it was chilly at the party. I hope you've thawed out now.

I didn't do any gardening, although it wasn't raining. The ground was still saturated from the overnight rain. I fished the leaves out of the pond, but that was all. I took Eva for a walk. We only went round the block, but had to walk past a young lad who was playing basket ball in his front garden. Eva was terrified! She hates random, irregular noises, and just froze to the spot - halfway through the cattle grid gate. It took me a while to coax her the rest of the way through, and then she ran past the boy, with me doing my best to run with her. I was exhausted when we got home, and we only ran about 100 yards. I don't think I'll be up for training for a marathon any time soon.

Well after 3 days of no cooking, I'm making dinner today. I've found where the kitchen is.
                    Not doing a roast dinner.

                    No plans for us today.

                      Good morning all.

Yes Nan2, you need to cook today so you don't forget

I hope you slept well after that unplanned exercise Daisy!

Good to know MIL was undramatic Oma.

Today is traveling to London and seeing the concert, so I may or may not log in again later.

                      Have a good Sunday everyone.

                        Morning ladies
                        It's not raining for a change😁

                        Nanto
Shame you have to cook today , back to being Cinderella then😁

                        Gem
Safe journey and have a fab time , I'm not jealous really 😁

                        Daisy
I had to laugh at the vision I had of you trying to keep up with Eva ,
Poor girl she doesn't like strange noises does she ,
I think everywhere is just too wet to do gardening,
We need to get the leaves up but they are soaking wet and will just clog the garden vac up.
MIL never says no to a cream cake😁

Off for breakfast with the family this morning, we are going to a garden centre in South Shields,
Dorothy and James live near by and it's not far for James to drive as he's still recovering from broken ribs.

I had to set too and clean all my fridge out this morning every shelf and the cold draw had to be emptied,
Everything in there had to be wiped down
We got up this morning and a full new tub of cream had been on the top shelf as we couldn't get it in the door bit,
And it had fallen over and burst dripping from the top to the bottom,
We think when we closed the fridge door last night it's caught on something
Not what you want to face first thing is it.

You wouldn't believe how far it can spread , B said it looked like it had exploded.
We drink our coffee and tea black so hadn't opened the fridge till I went to get the jam for my toast

Well its sparkling now so that's another job done 😁

                          Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, not doing a roast! Actually, I don't blame you.

Oma, oh what a mess, all that cream. I think not having plastic tops on things like that and yoghurt leads to a lot of spillages. I had a little stash of plastic lids I'd saved for another purpose so when the manufacturers stopped using them I was able to use lids I already had. Otherwise I think I'd have a lot more spillages. I hope you've enjoyed your breakfast with the family. Poor J, I bet he's still in a lot of pain with his ribs.

Gem, safe journey. Have a lovely time.

It's dull and overcast here, but not actually raining. We could do with some sun and wind to dry the garden up a bit though. No real plans for us, we're just taking the day as it comes.

I agree it was so much better with the plastic lids wasn't it,
I have a few of those stretchy lids but as this hasn't been opened I didn't bother putting one on, big mistake🙄

Had a lovely morning with the family , Lucie wasn't at work today so she was able to come too,
It was quite mild when we got there but when we came out it was really cold and icy rain ,
The type that stings if it hits your face.

Storm loved it though , he didn't want to get in the car😁

                              Hello again.
We are in our hotel room having a cuppa before the taxi picks us up at 4.45. It's recommended to be at the venue an hour before the show .
We had no problems getting here. We were a bit flummoxed as to how to reach the hotel from Stratford station. We could see it but not how to get there. A lovely friendly London bus driver coming off duty helped us

I forgot to mention - I was sitting there on the train in my nice new jumper and a lady in the same carriage passed to go the loo, wearing the identical jumper!
