I've read through your posts, but forgive me not replying. I'm very tired and have to do the Sainsbury's order and get ready for an early start tomorrow.

    Sleep well, everyone. xxx

Good morning, going to be another hot day.

Not sure what jobs I'm doing, but will get them done before it gets too warm.

Daisy, hope your appointment goes well.

Sliced potatoes, onions and corned beef for dinner.

Stay cool ladies whatever you are doing or wherever you are going.

          Morning Nanto, Ladies.

          Nanto
I have done the same early start before it gets too hot.

          Daisy
This heat will not be helping, I hope there are no road delays and your in and out quickly,
Don't worry about coming on here it will tick along 😁

Waiting for Storm to arrive he's staying till tomorrow, I doubt he will get a evening walk in this heat plus my neck is so painful I don't think I will take the chance of him pulling at the lead.
He doesn't but it would be sods law he would today 😁

          Try to stay cool ladies,

          Plant

            Good morning everyone.

We have been hearing reports of how very hot it is back home. Our cat sitter loves sun and heat but is finding it too much. The cats too!
            Keep cool all of you!
We had a lovely second day on the Rocky Mountaineer and were a bit sorry to leave it!
After good weather all the way some rain is forecast here in Vancouver today. We have a tour, which will be coach and walking this morning, then a free afternoon and evening.

I will do a holiday report once I am home to fill you in on everything.

Back in the UK on Sunday but not home until Monday. Bye for now

Although very warm, sun has only just come out but I am indoors watching the tennis. Had some locks sorted by locksmith yesterday, it is a pleasure to turn the keys now. Very quiet next door, they are childminding their year old GS again, he must be asleep. He is a shouter, I think he needs to make himself heard above his brother and sister. They are doing extra childminding as they are away next week.

Gemini, How exciting but tiring your Canada sounds, looking forward to reading your report.

Daisy, I presume you are having a quiet time after your trip to the hospital. Take care.

Oma, so sorry to hear about your poorly neck, not sure whether the advice would be, to rest it or keep it moving. Storm will be excited coming to you, has he given his food order?

Gem, it is very hot here, 37 degrees forecast for Sunday, so many events being cancelled.

I bet the train through the rockies was amazing! Enjoy Vancouver, and the rain!

                  Good Friday afternoon, everyone.

I think the temperature has peaked today at 27C, which is quite warm enough for me at the moment!

Gem, you might have to bring some of that rain back with you - everywhere is parched dry. I hope you enjoy your tour of Vancouver this morning. There are lots of beautiful gardens to visit for a gentle walk this afternoon - or Victoria Park, but I imagine that's now a more built-up area than when we were there. Your holiday seems to be flying by, but you're packing a lot into it. xx

Nanto, I hope you got those jobs done before it got too hot. At least you had a very early start.

Plant, thank goodness the tennis is on to encourage you to stay in doors on a day like today. It's probably hotter where you are than here. We get a bit of benefit from a breeze off the sea. I can understand your little GGS being a "shouter", he's got to make two older siblings notice him, bless him.

Oma, I should think the last thing on Storm's mind is walkies today. I bet he's seeking out the coolest places he can find. I do feel for you - a painful neck affects every move, and it's so easy to turn too sharply and the pain gets worse. On such a warm day would cool packs help, do you think?

Lizzie, I should think 37C will be too hot for most things. We're "only" forecast 33 and the rescue centre where we found Eva has cancelled its dog show - one of its biggest fundraisers. It'll be nice in Brighton for DS and DIL, though.

The hospital was a slow process this morning. They were very busy and had the air con going full blast (needed when certain drugs are being given to a patient). I was glad of water, tea and my favourite chocolate chip cake slice! We came home for a coffee and then went to collect Eva. Both she and Cooper have been asleep ever since!

I bet little one is tired with the heat,
The locks being easier to open will save straining your hands,
My DDs front door lock is awful to open, she does it no bother but I find it very stiff.

Storm had chicken and rice for lunch and mince with veg then a yoghurt for tea😁

                    Daisy
Days like this needs air con in the wards
How is Eva with the heat?

Storm has slept most of the day in various places mostly behind the sofa where he feels cooler.
He's not interested in going for a walk at all.
It's 28 here and so muggy, I've stripped the duvet off the bed and just put a cotton sheet to cover us,
We both slept without the duvet last night.

My Nephew who is in the Army ( my brother's son) has done the three peak challenge today to raise funds for the boxing club,
                    He does it every year,
He set of at 5 am this morning,
He said it was harder than normal with the heat.

B has made gooseberry crumble for later 😁
The rest have been washed and frozen.

WeeGrany, wow, that's a hot day. I noticed the tv local weather report on South Today was for 20C inland overnight. Apparently that's officially tropical.

Oma, I see the weather didn't put Storm of his delicious doggy dinner. Eva hasn't had a walk today - she's slept ever since we got back from DS2's. We protect her from the heat as much as possible. She often sunbathes, her choice, but in this weather we keep her indoors in the shade as much as we can. Mainly because she's an old lady now, and needs more pampering! Your nephew is amazing. That's a tough challenge in any weather, but to do it on a day like today is even harder. He must be very fit - and brave. Your brother would be so proud of him. xx. Ooh gooseberry crumble. What did you have with it?

The air con on the ward this morning was actually very cold, not like normal air con temperatures at all. I would have taken a cardigan if I'd known!

Good morning. Going to be another warm day.
Yesterday we had a lot of cloud, but it was still very warm.

Plant, glad you got the locks sorted.

Oma, I took our duvet off at the beginning of the week. We have a thin summer bedspread on now.
Hubby has been putting the ceiling fan on when he comes to bed.

Going to the farm shop this morning, then onto the garden centre. We will eat there later.

                            Morning Nanto, ladies.

                            Nanto
We didn't even use the sheet last night. It was so hot.

                            Daisy
We had cream with it, I only had a little dollop I'm not fussed either way with cream and to be honest it didn't need it , the Gooseberry's were so juicy.

I had Storm out for a walk at 5.30 and it was still to warm for my liking ,
I'm pleased I didn't bump into anyone I would have scared them with my bed head and bleary eyes😁
I think everyone thinking the same with the dogs , keep them in away from the sun.

DD back at lunch time and GS coming for lunch, after work he will go home for a shower and get changed before he comes over.

Oma, I envy you your gooseberries, I love gooseberry fool. I checked with the local farm shop but they are not picking yet. Poor Storm trying to find a cool place.

Nanto, trying the best way to keep cool overnight is a problem, living in a bungalow as I do it doesn’t get so hot in the bedrooms but I was jolly hot last night and of course I can only open top windows.
