He had a wrap around filling , the dentist did a good job.
He did ask about his front tooth that has a chip out but he advised against it ,
He said it would not be a good idea because the filling he has is solid and if he messes with it that filling could come out and cause more problems .
DS2 says, thank you for the birthday wishes. We went over there just before tea time. GD2 was already home, and GD1 arrived home with her mum while we were there. DIL's dad has also popped in to see them, so it was nice to see everyone. Yet another road closure on the same road that was recently closed for 3 months, made it a much longer journey than usual.
I feel as though I'm always moaning about road closures, but at the moment, our village high street is closed while they do water mains and some unwanted and unnecessary cosmetic changes that are supposed to make us use our bikes instead of our cars. (Ha, ha). Today's closure on the way to DS2's for a mere couple of weeks is to replace a cattle grid, which could easily have been done when the road was last closed, and the village to the north of us (our only feasible route in that direction) has lane closures because of scaffolding on some buildings. This is only a couple of months since the same road was in chaos for several weeks for new traffic lights. All this at the start of the holiday season. I feel so sorry for our lovely, small local shops who will lose so much business because visitors will see all the road closed signs and go elsewhere. You can't blame them, but so many shops, cafes and restaurants depend on the summer trade.
Oma, B's dentist sounds very good and is being really careful with B's treatment. Has he stopped coughing now? I hpe you sleep better tonight - you must be tired.

Daisy I was listening to an audiobook from the library on my journey to my massage ( around an hour round trip) It was the new Richard Osman one. One character talked about the New Forest area ,and several towns including your one beginning with B. My ears pricked up
Only one friend to have coffee with after aqua today. One didn't come to the class and one had to take her dad for an appointment so couldn't stay for coffee.

Morning Nanto,
Lovely words on your graphics.
Did you go to your usual pub?
Daisy
It's the same everywhere,
on mother's day we were meeting with the family at the garden centre ,
Unawares thar the road leading to it in all directions but one was closed.
We had to do a 10 minute detour along the highway and come in the back way.
Ok for us we knew the short cuts but visitors would give up as the diversions take you about 20 minutes around the network of roads.
How are you feeling this morning? B is almost over his cold and not coughing much thank goodness.
Gem
How do you feel after your massage are you all relaxed 😀
Off to MILs this morning then to Aldi,
GS & Lucie coming for lunch.
He has just got himself a summer job in our local B&M.
He was going to work in his friend's dad's kennel's
But B&M have offered him a 5am-9am slot 5 days a week.
This suits him better as he likes a early morning slot .
It means he can come home go back to bed for a hour then the day is his own.
He went for the interview on Tuesday and they said they would let him know on Friday but rang him Tuesday tea time to offer him the job.
Our little village has been voted the best in bloom throughout Briton for 2024
There are a army of volunteers keeping everything looking lovely,
One lady is even undergoing chemo for breast cancer but is out everyday, she. Said it gives her something to get up in the morning for so therapeutic for her.
My DD walks Storm there every day and knows a lot of the volunteers, one old chap gives her lots of gardening tips and often plant cuttings .
Good morning, I have just managed to do some shopping, a fever again! If I don't feel any better tomorrow I will phone the surgery, the coughing is getting easier, now the rest of it, I had a nose bleed this morning.
Daisy, at the moment our cycle paths are worse than the roads. I usually cycle straight into the village, now the paths round the roundabout are closed so the idea is that we have to walk, I was on the way to the appointment on Tuesday, I didn't have time to mess around so rode over the roundabout, I expect most people will do that. This morning I took another road.
I have managed to sort all my old papers out this week, those without name etc are in the paper container, the others I will take to my work, there is an AVG safe there, all the "important" documents go in there, when it is full a special security firm come and take it to be destroyed.
Nanto, pleased you had a good day, I hope that it stays dry for your washing, we have had rain during the night, hail with it I think as I heard a few car alarms going off.
Oma, a shame that B's teeth are worse from the chemo.
It is DS1 birthday tomorrow, 57 years old! We almost lost him 7 years ago so every day is a blessing.
I do hope I soon improve, this staying home all the time is certainly not for me!
They can't seem to get to the bottom of your fevers can they Lizzie? It must be a pain, I know you like to be out and about.
Nan2, we love dumplings. I can't eat beef so would have them with chicken casserole.
Little E day today.
Late afternoon we are taking him over to the park where his mummy's office is. She organises events in that park as part of her role for the Joseph Rowntree trust. Tonight it is Pizza in the Park between 5 and 8. We will have some pizza and let GS have a play in the play area. SIL will take him home, maybe DD too but it will be a late night for GS3, unless someone else is responsible for clearing up and locking the park at 8.30. I hope so as they only have one car!

Oma, I hope MIL is in a good mood, but at least you can look forward to GS and Lucie's company at lunch time.
Lizzie, I do feel for you, and wish you could shake that fever off. Interesting to know your roads and cycle paths have their problems as well.
Gem, GS3 will have a whale of a time at the park, I'm sure, and sometimes they just seem to keep going, don't they. Although he might be tired tomorrow!
It's quite sunny here at the moment. No plans for us except taking Eva over to GS2's this afternoon ready for an early hospital appointment tomorrow.

Well what a fun visit we had this morning at MILs,
As soon as we stepped through the door into the hall ,
We could hear her moaning and huffing and puffing.
She didn't even look at us and B said there's meals to go in the freezer mam,
She shrugged and said I don't care put them where you want,
So ungrateful.
We then got the " I'm sick of my life I wish I wasn't here etc ,
Complained she has a Drs appointment at 4 pm for bloods ,it's too late but only other available appointment was 11.30 that's too early.
Moaned that Liam her grandson could only take her shopping at tea time yesterday .
Wish he hadn't bothered.
The lad works he has to fit her in where he can , she's lucky he's taking her.
We sick of asking if she wants to go .10 o'clock is too early for her when we are there, but tea time too late.
There is no pleasing her.
Then we got her cleaner didn't do the windows to her liking it's a waste of money having her.
B said then tell her not to come anymore , no no I will give her another chance.
She's been saying the same about her and the gardener for two years🙄
We came out feeling depressed .
She really makes it hard work at times.
Oma I really feel for you. It's so unfair.
You may remember that my mum was very like that. Ungrateful for most we did for her, expected all of us with much busier lives to fit in with her, would go nowhere in the morning etc etc. It was hard. The last 3 years of her life she had dementia. Not so bad she didn't know who we were etc. but it changed her and mellowed her! I think if it hadn't I would miss her less! I think I miss the nice and hardly complaining mum of those last years
Another sleepover for Eva Daisy.
We have played inside and out all morning.GS is eating lunch, then it will be naptime. And a rest for Grandma
Tesco coming this afternoon

I have spent the morning planting up the courtyard pots, I have run out of plants so have come into the sunroom for a rest. Not as warm In here as I expected. DD and SIL back from Spain.
Oma, how unfair of your Mil, some elderly people don’t have any visitors but from what you say she has always been the same.
Lizzie I hope all your medical problems clear up soon.
Daisy another early morning for you both. Apart from the treatment, these early morning jaunts must be tiring.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
