Good morning, Daisy, I am with Gem, I bet that will be good!!

It is sunny here, very cold and foggy at 7am, that has all cleared now. I am going for lunch to the new school near here, apparently the pupils cook lunches, with help I expect, the plan is to invite the elderly (?????) from the area now and again to enjoy the lunch. I am going on trial from the place I do the coffee at, we are going to see what they have to offer! I did read somewhere that it is vegetarian, I have no problem with that.

We went to aqua yesterday, on bikes for the first time in months! I got the date for my appointment with the specialist, April 7th, the ones for my heart tests are all in the weeks beforehand, I will be a regular in the hospital.

I have just repaired a huge plant pot, I love the shape and size of it, a small piece had fallen out, when I bought it on Ebay, years ago, the man told me he had just repaired it and showed me where he had done it, after all these years that is still intact so I have decided to fill this in, hopefully I have the right colour paint and can get that done tomorrow.

    Oma, your house must sparkle!!!

Nanto, I hope that you get your bathroom cleaned. Then you can enjoy the good weather!

You would think so but once the dog has been in and out and at the moment B dragging rubbish through to go to the tip it's surprising how much muck and mess them two can make
I hope the specialist can sort you out ,

We had a college for learning difficulties in Seaham harbour that the students cooked meals and served in their restaurant at a very decent price,
We often went and the meals were delicious,
Most were Downs syndrome young people cooking and serving
They did remarkably well, then the pandemic hit and it didn't open again sadly.

I bet Fools and Horses will be funny,
      Let us all know 😁
B doing good still has a niggle now and then but on the whole he's ok, thank you for asking.

      Gem
Is it your turn to cook as S is on the golf course?
Will GS come to you or do you think you will have to go to their house,
Is their any sign of him going to school yet?

I started to clear out the shoes that don’t fit me but the grocery delivery came so I stopped for a coffee. the sun is shining into the sitting room so I am reluctant to get started again.

Gemini, lovely day for S on the golf course. Another nice day for the kittens to be playing outside.

I am sure my DD is mad. I went in next door yesterday tea time and she and H were crawling around the hall with cloaks around their necks playing some characters H watches on television. It is DD’s birthday tomorrow, they are going to London for the day.

Oma, that is similar to the restaurant GD1 and I were at a few weeks ago, mostly down syndrome, they love "working"!

The lunch was very good, the children were sat patiently waiting for us, there were 4 of us, it was well organised, the children doing all the chores etc, they explained how it all works etc, asked politely if there was anything we wanted to know about the school. It is a dual language school, Dutch/English, a really good idea, I do believe it is very expensive as well, most of the parents are working in the embassies, government etc so the fees will be paid.

You are fit Lizzie, cycling to and from aqua class

Aww Plant, your DD is a lovely Grandma.

Oma, GS1 is being home educated for now. He has a couple of tutors each week and DD has science coursebooks etc. He will come here on Friday morning (I hope) then he may stay all day and come with me to collect his cousin from school, but I'm always prepared for anything!

Well I thought I had booked a Tesco delivery today, but it's tomorrow! I had planned sea bass for tea, so I have to think again as it was on the order!
Very busy library morning with me on my feet for almost three hours, so I am taking it easy this afternoon.
The kittens had to stay in all morning as we were both out. We haven't introduced them to the cat flap yet. They were raring to go once I got home and let them out

Gem, I will put this in GS1 thread, one day, home schooling isn't allowed here, children, baby law, must attend school from the age of 6. I did read that if there is any reason that home schooling is needed, it has to go through the courts before the age of 6. It isn't only the education the children miss out on but the whole package. Very few go through the courts, so I read.

If anyone is interested, this is the school I had lunch at today.

Casa offers parents multiple choices of packages for school and daycare. The tarrifs and fees depend on the package chosen.

Nanto, not only the elderly, people out of this area that are alone etc, in fact, not really for the elderly.

Lizzie,I agree that home schooled children miss out on a lot. It's far from ideal and not what DD wants, but it will stop her being prosecuted for not sending GS to school. I hope it's not a permanent solution, but we don't know right now.

Plant, love the image in my mind of DD playing with H.
                      Happy birthday to your DD.

I think temperatures are going to be a bit warmer today, and warmer still at the weekend.
Spring is on its way, hopefully.

Daisy hope you enjoyed the show.

Dinner is gammon and pineapple, chips and peas.

                        Good Wednesday morning everyone.

Nanto, Eeyore is looking particularly cute thismorning!

I'm off to the dentist soon, so I'll try and catch up between that and dog training.

The show was excellent last night - I'll write more about it later.

                        I hope everyone is ok.

                          Good morning everyone.

                          Nice dinner Nan2.

Glad you enjoyed the play Daisy, and I hope the dentist is painless!

I have cancelled this morning's aquafit class. I can't seem to quite knock this virus on the head, and had very poor night, so I think I need the rest.
Tesco delivery this morning, no other plans so far.

I think you may need some vitamins or a visit to the pharmacist ask his/ her opinion.

Gemini, like you my DD and Sil are having a job to get over the virus. They are off to Normandy on Monday perhaps the sea air will help.

It is my DD birthday today, they are just off to spend a day in London, well DD is ready, not Sil yet. H has taken over the hall, she has all her toys spread around, they are at school.

Oma, that sounds like a feast ready for Storms visit, I bet he is licking his lips already.

Daisy, I hope the dentist isn’t painful in both ways.

Nanto, dinner sounds good as usual. I hope you have some lovely sunshine.

The dentists wasn't painful - it was just a check up. He's a lovely dentist - very gentle and explains exactly what he's doing as he works.

Plant, happy birthday to your DD. I hope they have a good day out in London. Have they planned anything, or just going for a general day out?

Oma, I'm so pleased to hear B is better. That dog is spoiled rotten (but the, so is ours!)

Gem, I'm sorry you're still not feeling 100%. It's a horrible virus. My OH still isn't completely well. He's not coughing any more, but hasn't fully got his energy back and is finding it hard to concentrate on things. I think you did the right thing cancelling Aqua today. You're a busy lady and the rest will do you good.

From what you've said about your GS, I think home education is the best option, at least for now. I know people worry about HE children missing out socially, but there are lots more options now where parents group together to provide activities for them. I've talked to a lot of HE youngsters when they've been applying to college for GCSE or A Level courses, and they were always well-rounded, motivated, articulate and sociable.

I'm having a coffee break after getting back from the dentist! We had a late night last night, and dog training will be full on after a couple of weeks away. We got back from the theatre very late because we were crawling along in dense, freezing fog. I can't remember when I last saw such bad fog. I'll write about the show separately.
