    Good Sunday morning, ladies.

Lizzie, it will be interesting to see how many of those keen new gym members are still there at the end of January! Take care in the snow.

Gem, typing minutes up is nobody's idea of fun, but it's quite satisfying to get them done and out of the way. Yes, it feels like a laundry at the moment.

Nanto, chicken stew and dumplings sounds delicious. Perfect for a cold winter's day. Enjoy looking at the snow. As Gem says, it's looks so pretty when it's all fresh and there are just little patterns of birds' feet on the lawn.

Oma, it sounds as though your GD has got the right balance to cope with the pressure of competitions. You must be very proud of her. Mould is a real pain. There is a tiny corner in our shower where it seems to collect between grouting and sealant. I keep dealing with it but it always seems to come back. I'm not as conscientious as you, though, and don't do anything till it appears.

Enjoy the snow everyone. We have heavy, persistent rain. All the local Whats App groups are monitoring the flood situation, and it's not high tide until 2.30! We had planned to take Eva and Missy up to the paddock this morning, but getting there might be a problem. And it's still dark. Both dogs aren't bothered by rain but the car might not be so keen on the flooded roads.

Not sure if we are expecting more snow, I am staying in the warm. It is quite foggy now, not very pretty. I wish I had filled the bird feeders before the snow arrived.

Oma, fresh bread sounds yummy, can I have the crust please? I have to keep on top of the mould in the shower, it is clear atm. It must be lovely to watch Storm enjoying the snow. Your GS sounds a very kind young man, just right to be a physio. My GS trained in Cardiff, has your GS any idea where he would like to train. Not a very highly paid job unless you can get some private work.

Daisy, where does all your washing come from?

Nanto, yummy dinner, just right for this wintery weather. Stay in the warm.

Lizzie, yes we all have New Year resolutions, I don’t bother now.

Gemini, thank you for reminding me about the decorations. I have taken everything down so far except the cards, I like to keep those up as long as possible.

We have taken everything down except the outside lights, due to the snow! I think it will be nice to have them up for another day or two anyway, but I expect OH will take them down tomorrow.
The snow is melting now, but we had a good covering. We let the kittens into the garden but they weren't too keen and soon came in!

We had a lovely surprise. DD3's best friend who was like a 4th daughter for many years came round. She lives in Bath and is here on a short visit and phoned to see if we were in. I was happy to abandon the un-decorating for a while 😊 She stayed a couple of hours, we had a good catch up and she took lots of photos of the cats.

Lovely pics of your GDs in the snow when younger Lizzie.

Storm enjoyed the snow more than our cats did Oma!

Daisy I think rain is heading our way tomorrow.

Good evening. We have rain now,so its helping to get rid of the snow.

This morning, nephew called on his way to the shop,to see if we needed anything.
Told him we were ok,but we appreciated him asking. He stayed for about an hour, had a cuppa and natter.

GD2 has been at work since 2.30 pm yesterday. Some rang in last night to say they couldn't get in, and again this morning.
She rung her dad to let him know that she is staying at work tonight, and will be home after she has done her shift in the morning.

              Lovely photos ladies.

Gem, how lovely for DD's best friend to pay a visit.

Oma, love those photos. It's perfect Husky weather, so no wonder Storm look really happy.

Plant, the washing pile up is my own fault. I took used bedding off the beds. Usually I wash it straight away and put it back on ready for next visitors. This time I didn't have time/energy/strength (because of the painful pulled muscle) to do that so all three guest beds had two sets of bedding to wash, plus towels plus table cloths/tea towels etc and normal stuff. I was cross with myself when it was so icy that I hadn't properly cleaned out the bird baths before the ice arrived. They would have been much better with a good cleanup instead of being full of leaves and debris.

Nanto, it's so difficult when your job is like your GD2's. You just can't go home if your colleague hasn't arrived - in this case it sounds like the fault of the weather. She must have been very tired though.

Gem, I wonder if the kittens found the snow too cold for their little bodies - for all that they've grown, they are still babies. It's lovely to catch up with your DD3's old friend. It was thoughtful of her to call, but you obviously had a lovely relationship with her. It was lucky she came while the cats are still so young. Does she have children?

Lizzie, what gorgeous photos. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.

Our doggy guest has gone home - all the way to next door. Her mum and dad got back about 6.30 and I'd done sausage rolls, a cheese board and other odds and ends. We had a few drinks and a good old chat. It was good to see them - we've both been very preoccupied with family over Christmas and hadn't seen each other. Definitely bedtime now. Good night everyone, sleep well.

Lovely photos don't they look happy 😊

                  Daisy
Bedding is so heavy and when your injured it's almost impossible to make beds like that .

                  Nanto
Poor GD she will be exhausted after a shift like that.

                  Gem
I think as Daisy said they are only babies so a bit cold for them
Lovely to get a surprise visit from DDs friend .

It's raining hard so the snow has gone almost.
I have been to bed but couldn't sleep again so I'm downstairs having a hot drink see if that will help .

Good morning, our snow soon melted, I went to DS1 for coffee yesterday afternoon, it was raining! DIL was decorating the hall, as GD1 put is, stressed! GD1 and her BF came here to get their holiday booked. They were in an Airbnb with the friends last summer and planned on doing it again, we went through all the lets in Greece, Croatia and Spain. Looking at some of the photo's GD1 said " I know the problem, I have been spoilt with all the luxuries on our family holidays"!!! She was right as well. She said they were paying for themselves so have to make decisions! They ended up in Zadar, Croatia, I went there many years ago and friends of mine went last year and recommended it, so, they got the flights and the apartment booked, then, neither could be paid for. I think all the sites were too busy with everyone booking at the same time. They left to go for a meal, I hadn't expected them so hadn't planned on a meal, they knew where they were going though, I told them to let me know if they managed to get the payment accepted, it was midnight when I got the message, all was booked!

Gem, you would enjoy the catch up with the young friend.

Nanto, what a long shift! Is your GD a nurse?

Oma, the girls did enjoy the snow, the slope next to here is the only one in the village so was always very popular when it did snow.

It is very windy at the moment, I am doing the coffee this morning then there is a meeting this evening so we will see what happens.

We've had a bit more snow, but it's now a mix of rain and snow.

Lizzie,GD2 isn't a nurse, she works in assisted living, she's ejmployed by Mencap.
Your GD will be looking forward to the holiday.

I'm glad we hadn't got a holiday booked. Must be so disappointing for those who's flights have been cancelled.

Daisy, glad you eventually got through the washing mountain.

                      Not expecting any visitors.

Easy dinner of fish fingers, potato croquettes and beans.

                        Good morning ladies.

Poor GD stuck at work all night Nan2.

Daisy DD3's friend doesn't have children and I don't think they plan any. She is married and they have 2 cats which definitely are their babies We are very fond of her and I wish she lived closer. She lived abroad for many years though so Bath is a big improvement!

It is raining here and has all night I think. There is still snow on my windscreen but I presume my wipers will shift that straight away.
Aqua for me this morning. I got the Minutes done yesterday so later I will send those out and set some meeting dates.

                        Have a good day everyone.

                          Morning ladies

It's never stopped raining since last night, really hard .
We went to a new Tesco near us this morning, GS 2 had a part time job over the Christmas in there.
It's not as big or as good as our usual Tesco but we have been and tried it.

GS 1 coming over no doubt he will need feeding 😁

                            Good Monday morning, everyone.

Oma, did you get to sleep eventually? I hope that rain didn't lead to freezing or everywhere will be like an ice rink.

Lizzie, decorating seems hard work these days, and I can understand your DIL feeling stressed. Your GD1 sounds very sensible and grown up, realising that she probably can't have the sort of holidays she enjoyed with her Mum and Dad. But they're young, and they will have lots of fun. I'm sure we can all remember going on budget holidays in our youth. A normal "coffee" day, but I wonder what will happen at the meeting this evening. It sounds as though decision need to be made - or already have been. Will you be there?

Gem, It sounds as though DD3's friend has carved out a life which she loves, and Bath is definitely closer than her living abroad. Dis the snow wipe off your windscreen ok? I imagine all the regulars are back at Aqua now.

Nanto, I agree about those who have had their flights cancelled. It's so disappointing, especially if they can't postpone the holiday because of work.

We had a grocery delivery this morning for the first time since Christmas. The young lady doing the delivery is our favourite. She's such a sweetheart and always cheery, but nearly always turns up a bit early. Luckily we were more or less ready, and it's nice to have the fridge stocked up again.

OH may be going out tonight, so I'm going to cook for lunch-time. He has just gone down the village but the sun's shining, so he's going to get the outdoor lights down when he comes back and we can then put all the decorations up the loft. Our bedding's in the wash and the towels are next, then a big pile of dog towels and bedding. And there's me thinking I'd caught up!

Oma, our posts crossed. It's always useful to try a different shop - you never know. What are you cooking for GS1 today?

GD2 is on her way home from work, after being there for 48 hours.

                                The snow is slowly going.

Daisy, hope you get the lights down, then everything can go away.

Changed the bedding and cleaned upstairs. Bedding has been washed and it ready for putting away now.
