You will never guess what just happened,
we usually have the front door locked but had unlocked it for GS coming.

Front door opened and we thought it was him then the sitting room door opened and it was the Amazon delivery man😱he had just walked straight in.
We were so shocked by the time we reacted he was gone ,

B is online to them now, if it was our usual delivery man we know him well he's our SILs friend but this was a total stranger.
Door is staying locked in future 😡
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good heavens Oma , an Amazon delivery man walking in

Lizzie, great that the lift is working well, watch those knees!

I hope the GDs craft fair goes well Daisy.

We raised £67 on our chocolate tombola, which we are pleased about.
Little GS3 was a delight to have as usual, and luckily didn't make any fuss when I left him with OH. I thought he would want to come with me. In fact when daddy came back he clung to OH pretending he didn't want to go home

Feeling a bit slow and sleepy today so only just realised I haven’t popped in to see what you are all up to.

Oma, so sorry to hear you are not much better, rest as much as you can.

Daisy, I hope your GD’s did well with their fundraising. I am not up to touching the garden, I will leave it now and get someone in the Spring to put it right.

Nanto pleased Google was able to help your OH out.

Gemini, a chocolate tombola would be popular.

Oma, I'm so sorry you had a bad night. No wonder you are exhausted. Did you get a nap? Mind you, the Amazon delivery driver walking straight into your house is enough to give you nightmares. Whatever was he thinking! Did GS enjoy his steak and chips with peppercorn sauce. I bet B was wishing you'd got enough for two! Happy 8 year anniversary to B. What an anxious time that was, and how relieved we all were when it was successful. Give him a big hug from me, please.

Plant, I don't think it does the garden much harm to be left overwinter. It makes it very wild-life friendly and as you say, all those jobs can be done in the Spring. It's lovely to see bulbs already poking through the ground and the layer of leaves (we never clear them off the garden). The Camellia and Magnolia Stellata are covered in buds.

Gem your chocolate tombola did well. Your GS3 is such a sunny little soul, isn't he, and he's already got a mischievous sense of humour.

Nanto, did GS2 and DIL have a good flight to Spain this morning?

The GDs had set their table out well for the craft fair, but they were upstairs and although there's a lift, I think a lot of people didn't go there. There were a lot of people milling round but it seems nobody sold much. The GDs covered their costs, including materials, but I don't think there was a good profit in it for them. Still it's all experience, and GD1 was delighted when a lady who used to teach people to crochet stopped and admired her work and gave her some ideas for new projects. We took GD2 out for lunch (GD1 didn't want to leave her stall). We went to a local Turkish-run cafe where the girls like going. GD2 had an adult portion of fish, chips and peas and finished the lot! She did say she was hungry. . We both had sausage, egg, chips and beans, so no cooking for me tonight! OH took GD back to the craft fair and I did a bit of shopping - including Eva's Christmas present from Pets' Corner. Honestly, trying to smuggle a large octopus into the house without the dog sniffing it out needs low cunning and a bit of luck! It's currently in the garage. At some point we'll have to find a way of getting it into the house without her knowing! We're sure she must have some bloodhound in her heritage.

We haven't heard from DS2,but i would imagine the flight was ok.

Love the tale about the octopus.

At least the girls covered their costs, hope it doesn't put them off having more craft fairs.

Oma, how cheeky of the Amazon delivery man. What response did B get when he rang them.

Gem, well done for the money raised with the chocolate tombola.

              Raining this morning.

Don't feel like doing much today.
This cold is a stinker, hubby started with it now. Problem is, he moans more than me.

Just doing a little easy dinner today. Got some cooked beef slices, frozen mash and a few veggies.

DIL's birthday today, so will message her in Spain later.

                Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly. I hope you can shake that cold off quickly, and having an easy day is a good idea. I hope your hubby is ok too.

Just a quick hello from me. We're going up to DIL1's today and then on to the hospice for a Christmas memorial event. We have to drop Eva off at DS2's first (in the opposite direction) so will have to leave about 9. Back home late tonight, I expect.

                  Good morning everyone.

What a cheerful graphic for a dark morning Nan2
Men do moan more, I remember from when I was married to one I hope you both feel better soon xx

Daisy where is the octopus now?

Plant, these short dark winter days do make us more sleepy I think, and this virus has obviously taken its toll on you.

I hope you are feeling a bit better Oma.

The quiz night fundraiser did very well. We didn't win the quiz or raffle, and the auction went beyond my budget, but a very good night. It was lovely to see GD happy and relaxed with her dance friends, and our little quiz team of 3 (me, OH, DD2) had fun and a chat and few laughs along the way. I think they must have raised a lot of money.
The main road into our village was closing overnight for road repairs from 11pm and we got there 7 minutes before, so a success!

No plans today apart from friends popping in for coffee and cake this afternoon. We have no cake, so I'd better make some!
I know next door are desperate to see the kittens before they for any bigger so I may message to see if they want to come this morning.

                      Nanto
Everyone seems to have this cold it's rotten isn't it.
Amazon apologised and said they would look into it , in other words ignore it.

I'm not good still it's the cough as I've said keeping me awake that makes me tired and shaky , try. To lie down it starts again so just a vicious circle at the minute.

it's Bs birthday meal tonight at least 4 of us have this damn cold,

Look forward to hearing about yesterday Daisy.

I think we've had a bit of rain overnight.

No plans for today, as of yet.

Dinner is baby potatoes, beans and bacon.

Good morning everyone, I am always awake early, I heard the huge crane arrive in the street at 6-15 for the dismantling of the lift, the men started their work 10 minutes later, what a noise with all the drilling etc, now everyone is awake!! They dismantle it so quickly, just 2 more containers to remove, there were 6.

I am going to do coffee this morning then aqua, rain forecast so maybe in the car again.

I hope you have managed to sleep well Daisy.
