Good morning all.
That's a cute puppy Nan2
Oma, you have to laugh at these situations don't you?! I hope getting dressed is a bit easier this morning.
It looks as though it must have rained during the night.
Our friend enjoyed meeting the kittens. In the end we decided to cook roast chicken and invite her to eat with us. I made an apple and blackberry crumble too.
Aqua for me this morning, then DD and GS3 will be here for a while this afternoon.
Happy Monday everyone.

Morning everyone
Gem
I bet your friend was grateful for the meal ,
enjoy your afternoon with DD&GS xx
Nanto
We we’re talking about toad in the hole yesterday now that’s a coincidence isn’t it.
We have always liked it B likes to put fried onion on top with gravy ,
Although I like fried onions I just like plain gravy with mine.
Pretty much the same back wise today, neither of us slept as I couldn’t get comfy and couldn’t turn without help.
Told B to go in spare room and I would manage but he wouldn’t bless him.
Not a lo I can do today, I have shuffled around dusting and cleaning door handles but that was my limit .
Hope everyone is feeling ready for another week ahead ,
Nanto
Forgot to ask how is the cold is it any better xx

Good Monday morning everyone. It's cloudy here but dry. Some sunshine would be nice, but as long as it stays dry I can get some more gardening done.
Oma, I hpe you're feeling better this morning and don't have to go through the getting-dressed performance.
Nanto, can I give your cute puupy a cuddle? I was thinking the other day it's ages since I made toad in the hole. My mum used to make lovely ones, but mine are only ever ok-ish.
Gem, the kittens are making lots of friends, and seem to be settling down really well. You must be so thrilled with them. Enjoy your afternoon with GS3 and DD.

DD and Sil left about 5am this morning and they and my DS and Dil will now be on the boat. They only have about an hour and a half’s drive the other side. I have my Covid Jab later, then a lunch at the village hall. My car is being used by GD1 this morning so GD2 might be a taxi for me. I had a lovely surprise visit from my two youngest GS’s, yesterday lots of hugs. GS (who you met in B’ham) is loving living in London. I have never tried to keep Geraniums over winter.
Oma, your description of you trying to get dressed sounds amusing but it isn’t really, I do hope you will be pain free soon.

Geraniums are something we haven't had for years. For some reason we went off them.
Oma, just do what you feel comfortable doing.
Cold is still lingering, hubby's had cleared up in a couple of days.
Sun is shining here, towels are out on the line, bit of a breeze blowing them.
Keeping an eye on the weather,i believe rain is forecast.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I love geraniums and bought some every year until I started to bring them inside over winter
Nan2 these colds can hang about.
What a nice surprise visit Plant.
Rest up Oma, and use heat or ice, whichever helps most xx
I had coffee with my friend after aqua.
DD and GS3 had lunch here and GS had his nap then they went into town to meet a friend.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma, we posted together this morning. It sounds as though your back is still giving you a lot of pain. Sending gentle hugs.
Plant, I hope the family enjoy their holiday. After a dry start it's poured with rain down here and has been more windy than the last few days, so I hope they had a smooth crossing. Geraniums always make me think of French villages in summer - there always seem to be pots of lovely brightly coloured geraniums on people's steps and public buildings. How lovely to see your GSs. I'm so pleased S is enjoying life in London. Is he enjoying his job as well?
Nanto, I'm sorry you are still suffering from your cold. Are you taking it easy and not doing things you don't have to do?
Gem, What a lovely day you've had. I bet GS3 thought it was great having Mummy and Grandma entertaining him.
So no gardening for me today. It was nearly dark before it stopped long enough for me to take Eva out, and half the dog owners in our road had the same idea! I did a bit of housework - not much! - and spent a couple of hours this afternoon reading.

Good morning, it is wet here after our late heatwave!
I hope that you are soon feeling better Oma, it is a pulled muscle?
DS1 and family are loving it in York, it is the first time they have rented an apartment and are loving it. They usually go from hotel to hotel, this is more like a home.
I like geraniums to look at, certaintly not the scent, years ago I was on Kos, a beautiful apartment, geraniums all over the building! I had to be very careful not to get an overdose!
We didn't have aqua yesterday, school holidays. The bi-linqual school opposite here opened yesterday, they don't have set holidays, the children get so many days a year, the parents can decide when to take them, most of the children come from Den Haag, chauffeur driven cars etc from the embassy's government etc.
I hope you are feeling better now Nanto, I was talking to my neighbour and he has had the flu, he was saying he was in bed most of the time.
I want to go to the fitness then see what I do today, I got all the doors in the hall cleaned yesterday, they shine again!
I was doing coffee yesterday morning, one of the (new) men was telling me about his grandchildren, all 9 of them!!

Good morning, not sure what the graphic is supposed to be, but hey ho.
We had surprise visitors yesterday morning, but they are good company.
Not sure what the weather forecast is,but would like to get the grass cut.
Hubby out for a couple of hours, will see what weather is like when he gets back.
I think my cold is on its way out, i slept a bit better last night.
Dinner will be baby potatoes done in the air fryer, bacon and probably beans.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning dear ladies.
Nan2, it's a cute graphic whatever it is
Lizzie it is fine in York for your family today, with no rain forecast.
Daisy, reading time is good for you!
Plant, I hope you feel OK after your covid jab yesterday, and enjoy your birthday
No GS1 today as it is his grommet surgery. He is last on the afternoon list. He told me that this is because he is the oldest on the list and is fine with that. I wish it was this morning though, less time for him to get cold feet!
GS2 day today. He will come to the library with me this morning. He very much enjoys the library, and I buy him treats and lunch in the cafe!
He will be so excited to meet the kittens, who are frankly hilarious“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.
Nanto, I'm not sure who your graphic friend is this morning, but he's got a lovely big heart. Good luck with getting your lawn cut today. Ours is squelching with all the rain. I'm sure I could grow watercress there instead!
Lizzie, it sounds as though DS1 and family are making the most of their Yorkshire holiday. The bilingual school sounds interesting with no set days and a come and go policy for the children. Some people lead very different lives to our own, don't they. I'm sure the gentleman with 9 grandchildren is very proud of all of them and couldn't resist your listening ear.
No plans for me today. So far. The GCs should be coming over one day this week but not sure when - if not today it will have to be Thursday. We're just planning a quiet day at home. GD1 may want to use my sewing machine and GD2 is always happy to do something in the kitchen which usually involves cake of some sort!

Gem and Oma, we all posted together!
Oma, has anyone in the family got an iphone? The charging cables are all the same. I hope your new one arrives soon, though.
Gem, I do hope GS1's surgery goes smoothly for him. I'm glad he's ok with being the last on the list because it's no fun waiting all day and being hungry as well. I can picture GS2 enjoying the library, plus the treats, lunch and one-to-one time with Grandma. I bet he feels very grown up. The kittens are keeping everyone entertained, aren't they.
