Oma, I hope your Sil’s mother and father’s medical problems clear up soon. Your Mil seems to have settled since she came home. I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain, should you rest or keep active?

Happy Birthday (a bit late) to your OH Daisy, I hope he had a lovely day.

I have managed with one less pain killer today, Hope I don’t regret it.

Lizzie, you are a very kind lady, always helping friends and family.

Gemini, How nice to have DD, sil and GS3 for a sleepover. I don’t think any of my children or grandchildren asking to go for a sleep.

My OH says thank you all for the birthday wishes. We're having a cosy evening in and have lit the woodburner. I've just had to do my Sainsbury's order for tomorrow, so I'll head back to the living room now and put my feet up for a bit. I'll catch up here tomorrow.

        Night, night everyone.

It feels cold but at least it's dry.

It's ex DIL mam's funeral today.
We are taking her DS1 to the undertakes where they are leaving from, as neither of them wants to take their cars.
We will pick them up later, at whatever time to bring them home.

Dinner is chicken tikka for hubby, apparently he's been craving one all week. I'll have a cheese omelette.

Oma, hope your friend is doing okay.

            Morning Nanto/ ladies

A sad day for ex DIL Nanto
            Isnt it cold this morning,

We seen the northern lights last night, very faint but spectacular through the camera on our phones.

Spoke to James last night , Dorothy still on the critical care ward , the sepsis is in her kidney and bladder but she’s responding well to the high doze of antibiotics,
She was finally awake and talking ,
The breakdown on her legs has gone to Cellulitis so specialist and Lymphedema Drs seeing her at some point.

B off to see Dr this morning they rang yesterday his Potassium is very high due to his kidney disease so needs to discuss treatment.

Im off to Specsavers while he is there, Im not happy with my specs they don’t focus well TV reading and my iPad are very blurry.

Its lovely and bright out but frost on the cars this morning.
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good Friday morning, everyone. It's bright, but chilly here this morning.

Oma, poor D must be in a lot of discomfort with all that going on. I hope the high dose of antibiotics works for her. J must have been relieved that she was awake and talking, poor lady. I hope the doctor isn't too concerned about B's potassium levels - but at least he will be getting advice quickly. I think it can be hard to get varifocals adjusted so the reading bit is in the right place. I've never had any that are clear for my computer - it's better without them! How is your poorly back today?

Nanto, a sad day for your ex-DIL's family. I hope everything goes to plan. Giving them a lift to the funeral directors' will take a lot of stress out of their day - you and your OH are very kind. I've just enjoyed a coffee, as per the graphic, but not sure how relaxed the day will be.

Plant, how did you get on with the one less painkiller yesterday? I hope you were ok.

Lizzie, was the neighbour pleased with the veggies? It's kind of you to think of her. It must seem strange at your other friend's husband's and he must be missing his wife a lot. I'm sure getting his ironing done will be a big help, as well as having some company. I think it's very annoying when they want to check your shopping like that. It seems to be happening more and more here, especially when you use the self-checkouts.

Gem, did you have a good evening with DDs and SIL. I hope GS3 slept well. Were the fish and chips good?

I'm hoping to get some washing dried outside today - bedding for our guests next week and a few other odds and ends.

Mourners safely deposited at the funeral home.

What a morning. Spent 45 minutes speaking with Virgin Media.
I had to keep asking her to repeat things. Anyway, sorted now.
Got the monthly payment down to the least we have ever paid.

Oma, hope your friend continues to improve.

B has to have yet more blood tests in two weeks , his kidney function is low but we know that he has appointment with kidney people in a couple of weeks and he’s slightly anemic,
Could have told him all this over the phone so bit of a wasted appointment.

I have to go see glasses technician tomorrow and have maybe another eye test ,

While B was in Drs I did a shop in Sainsburys , my back is killing now so pain killers and heat pack on.

GS just rang he’s coming for his lunch , dropping his car off to be valeted first , so I better go see what I can feed him .

It's a bit late to day Good morning now

Oma, as you say B could have been saved a visit to the Dr's just to be told that. I hope the painkillers and heatpack help. Back pain is no fun at all.

Nan2, good result with Virgin Media!

Daisy, all that washing - the downside of staying guests! I hope it dries for you. I can't read with my varifocals either.

The fish and chips were very good thanks Daisy.
We had a nice evening. This morning DD3 went to work and SIL, GS and I went to the library and library cafe. When we came back GS helped OH collect apples from the grass and played outside.
They have both gone home now. I have some printing to do this afternoon.
Later I am meeting DDs 2, 3 and GD at Pizza Express. We are then going to the theatre to see Little Women. GD's ticket is part of her birthday present from us.
I can get the bus in , but may ask OH to take me

                    Very sunny day here.

Gemini, have a lovely meal and theatre trip with DDs. And GD.

Daisy, good day here for drying washing, not that I have any washing out.

I wear my varifocals all the time, I can read with them but I have audible books. Just done a large order to be delivered tomorrow from Waitrose, still don’t feel up to do shopping. Taking things slowly. I enjoyed my game with a different group of people yesterday, they were not so competitive.

Just finished a large order with Waitrose to be delivered tomorrow.

Oma, I am sure your GS will leave well fed.

Daisy, I managed quite well with less painkillers but woke up very early. I enjoyed my game with a different group of people yesterday, they were not so competitive.

I didn't get much done today! I washed our bedding and the bedding for the guest bed. I left the second lot out on the line when I took Eva for a walk this afternoon and it rained!

What took up a lot of time this morning was completing obscure paperwork on a very ill-devised system for our visit to a cruise ship tomorrow. We're going for a tour round one while it's in dock in Southampton and the red tape has been epic! It started about a month ago and we've had to keep filling in more and more forms, and have to make sure we can access whatever they want to send us tomorrow morning. Since we have to be there at 9 am I hope they send it good and early! If we'd known what was involved we wouldn't have bothered.

Good morning, Daisy, I had the same problem with my washing, just got it hung out and it rained, not very often wet on the balcony but it was yesterday. My washing is dry now though in the spare room.

What a carry on to view a cruise ship, I went to the next village yesterday as GD2 works in a friends chocolate/coffee shop on a Friday afternoon. She was being taught to make cappuccino so she practised on one for her nan! The friend was telling me they went on a cruise during the summer and sailed from Southhampton, she was showing me photo's of the day they had in Brighton with DS1 and family before they sailed.

Gem I hope you enjoyed the evening out.

Oma, how is everyone and yourself?

I went to DS1 on Thursday to get GD2 to try the trousers on, she was coming here but was late home from school, DS1 phoned and said they would try after football today, I told him I had made cup cakes especially so would go there, it was looking like rain so I waited until the traffic would be easier and went. I made the pattern myself following the measurements from a pair of trousers she gave me, they are a perfect fit!!! I was pleasantly surprised! I was going to made another pattern from a book I got from the library but I won't have to bother now. I can get the trousers finished today. GD1 arrived home whilst I was there, she does the work experience 2 days a week. It is her birthday a week today, 19 years old!

                            Good morning ladies.

Busy day for you yesterday Daisy.
What a palaver to visit the cruise ship.
                            Same for you Lizzie.
                            Glad the trousers fitted.

Oma, hope all goes well for B.

Sis in law and hubby visited yesterday, stayed quite a while, but we don't mind.
The menfolk went out later to pick up Ds1 and x DIL from the funeral.

We are going to Wakefield today, not for anything special, but it gets us out for a couple of hours. Also means I won't have to cook.

                              Good morning everyone.
A dull damp one here so far, after a couple of very nice days.

Daisy, my goodness, how much paperwork would you have to fill in if you went on an actual cruise then??!! I hope it's an enjoyable day today.

Lizzie, you are a talented seamstress.

A shopping trip with no cooking sounds a good Saturday Nan2.

How is your back today Oma?

One of our group of friends was 70 this week. She has had various lovely celebrations, and tonight is the meal out for our group of 10.
We are eating at an Italian in town. Meeting at theirs first for fizz and nibbles , then taxis are arranged to take us all to the restaurant. Looking forward to it ( and another night of no cooking!)

Your GDs are very lucky having a gran that can make their clothes,
Is GD enjoying the coffee shop, how was her attempt at a Cappuccino? 😁

                                Gem
Hope the meal is nice but it’s the friends that make the night isn’t it,

What a carry on , it’s all security now but I think it sounds like they going over the top, it’s not that much bother actually going on a cruise🙄

                                Nanto
Enjoy your day out , how was ex DIL yesterday after the funeral?

I have gave downstairs a good clean , took me ages as I can’t move to quickly still, but it’s done . Had to get Bs gripper thingy that picks up dropped stuff and put the cloth on the end to get to skirtings but I managed rather well.

Not much else happening today so far,

Dorothy doing good she was sitting in the chair yesterday very tired and unwell still, it will take a while to get better, but she’s making progress already by being up,
I rang James and he feels fine said he feels so well he feels a fraud going to the stroke clinic.
