Hallo everyone, I have been to my friends DH, he was telling me there were 210 people there for the service on Friday, I guessed around 200, I wasn't far out! Their DS2 lives in Norway, family and friends from Norway were there as well as the family that live in London. The flowers were all taken to the Indonesian monument by the family on Saturday morning.

Oma, pleased your MIL seems to settling in. Can she stay there or will she allowed to go home.?

Gem, I hope your back improves, one of the things I like at the gym is the "back stretcher", in fact, the men call it mine!!! I am going to the podo therapist later today, see what he says about the arthritis in the feet.

I don't mind getting older, just the things that come with it

Oma, yum, yum, Apple Charlotte, used to love making and eating the good old fashioned puddings. I make them occasionally for the GGC but the squirrels have had all our fruit this year. Have a lovely lunch with GS.

Lovely and sunny here, the evenings are starting to get chilly. I had a good night, (apart from loo visits), but didn’t wake until 10am, now the painful job of getting dressed. Shower or not shower, or use those lovely wipes Gemini recommended, that is the question.

Nanto, enjoy your trip into town, I used to love a good mooch around the shops. Will you meet up for coffee?

They are laying a new gas main through the village and it is a lottery as to which roads are shut. The exit onto the main village road from our road is shut so we have to take a country lane out through woodland with humps and bumps, not good for a painful back. GD had to park in a woodland car park yesterday and come through our back gate, H loved it. It sounds as if we live in a lovely woodland setting, but no, as soon as you get to the end of the road you are in the real world. You notice this is a long post, I am just putting off the painful exercise of getting dressed

Gemini, do your apples keep? Have an enjoyable library day.

Plant, yes the apples keep well. We give a lot away to family and friends, and make a lot into pies, crumbles, apple cake and apple sauce!
I'm glad you are finding those wipes helpful. I think anything which makes our lives easier and less painful has to be good.

Back very sore after being on my feet all morning. Tomorrow I will start the exercises. GS1 here at present then it's my turn to cook dinner so realistically it's not going to happen today. That backstretcher sounds good Lizzie.

Had a good mooch in town this morning.
I went to the butchers and stocked up.
Then met up with hubby for coffee.
On our way home we paid a visit sis in law and hubby.
We've booked a city break for Alicante next month.

          Oma, apple charlotte sounds scrummy.

Registration on Thursday then Uni starts Monday.
He couldn’t go without seeing us 😁
been here about 4 hours .

            Gem
Wish we lived nearer we would use those apples no bother 😁

            Plant
I bet H thought it was a magical adventure coming in the back gate from the woods 😁
Those wipes are good arnt they , I think they are the way to go while your in so much pain.

            Lizzie
Your friends OH must have been a well loved respected man.

MIL will stay in rehab until they deem she is safe and well enough to go home.
If she isn’t then we will have the difficult task of getting her to go into a home ,
I dread to think if it comes to that the fight we will have on our hands.

I do miss my mini orchard at my last house . Not enough room in my garden now for fruit trees1

Gem, I have two walk in showers so no climbing into a bath! Come to think of it there's one of those hand held showers on the bath too. I'm going to get some of those wipes though just in case I'm not confident in the shower. Can't imagine DS would want to see his Mum in the altogether!!

Plant, there seems to be an epidemic of roadworks in this area! The road works in the next village seem to move from one bit to the next each week! As one bit's done, another one gets started! It was lovely to hear your GGC out playing in the garden after school today.

Pleased MiL seems to be behaving herself at the moment Oma! Fingers crossed she will be allowed home!

                  Good morning.
I believe we are forecast another nice day. Hope so anyway, I've got the washer on.
We have no plans for today, just a day of the normal things.

I want to use up a couple of beefburgers for dinner, with some potato thingies, forgot what they are called, probably have beans with it.

                    Morning Nanto/ everyone

                    Nanto
We had home made burgers last night , B had potato crochet with his I had a side salad.
I didn’t eat much of the burger I didn’t feel hungry although the smell of them cooking made my mouth water.
I think it’s more the fried onions than the meat that I liked 😁

                    waiting for dog to arrive,
DD is going down to Leeds to clean the flat for the boys starting the new term.
GS following down with his car packed with stuff.

I won’t say we will miss him as he will be back at weekends ,
He goes to see his Mam then Lucie then us and his other grandparents if he can,

                      Good morning everyone.

Oma, we told you last year when you were naturally upset about GS1 going to uni that he would be home loads

Two walk in showers WG. how fancy! I would order the wipes because in the early days sometimes you just can't be bothered!

Aquafit this morning and reflexology this afternoon. Which reminds me I haven't paid her! Must get onto Paypal now!
This morning OH is is going to the private hearing clinic in town which my auntie uses. They have a free hearing test offer.

                      Have a good day ladies.

Painful morning, don’t know why, managed a shower. Sat in the garden to let the painkiller work, opened eyes to see a baby squirrel almost on my lap.

Oma, well done DD to get the young men ready for the next term. I have never been a burger eater but I am sure I would enjoy B’s

Gemini, I hope S gets the information she needs to make a decision. I have been happy with my NH ones until now. I need to get back to the opticians to sort them out but couldn’t cope with that atm so am quite happy with my old ones. You should feel nice and supple after aqua and reflexology, I do hope so.

Nanto, Enjoy the nice sunny day, get the garden chairs out, forget food and housework and enjoy the sunshine.

GG, they are laying new gas mains in our road and a lot of the village. Are you able to help at the First School atm? I have been very pleased with the wipes recommended by Gemini. Some mornings I haven’t been able to face a shower. How long will you be in the Chiltern?

Just got a delivery from Temu. I wanted some foil dishes for freezing meals in. Couldn't get the size i wanted in any shop,Amazon or Ebay.
So,Temu it was. While i was browsing i saw a nice top that i liked, had to buy it didn't i. Happy with it.

Oma, i'm not mad about beefburgers, don't think i will buy anymore. We had air fried onions with ours.

There were some very bad comments about Temu, on line, mainly to do with materials used and difficulty returning items. They might have put that right of course

Gem, my showers! Not a lot of room in the curved one, but it’s a powerful shower! The big one is in my en-suite and there’s lots of room to move around!
Plant I’m giving reading at first school a miss this term. Hopefully back in January. All going well two nights in Chiltern then staying with friends until 10th when DS will be back to look after me! It was a sitting in the garden sort of day today wasn’t it?
I’ve been knitting for our post box toppers but let the others put them together! IMG_2784.jpg IMG_2783.jpg
