Plant - For a fairly large dog, Eva is very dainty and can carefully jump onto the bed without waking either of us - we both sleep heavily anyway (we're the people who didn't wake in the Great Storm and wondered what all the fuss was about the next morning!) but we often wake to find her snuggled between us.

Oma - I think my cold must be like yours - I feel much better tonight, just very tired.

Gem - I think choosing carpet is really hard, like choosing paint only more permanent. What a good job you read the small print. We've got a Vax for cleaning the carpets so we'd never have them professionally cleaned.

Zizi - I remember you coming down to the Forest for NYE!

Mimi - when you're wondering how long it will take to get to the end of your present-buying list, remember that some of us haven't even started yet.

Qwerty - It would be wonderful if you could write a journal when you come back, but you are absolutely right - a holiday relaxing, doing what you want and when is perfect. If you do go to the Aqua park, please could you get your OH to video you going down the chute at 50 mph, please - pretty please? Enjoy that sea view - it's very relaxing just to sit and watch the waves rolling up on the beach, isn't it. I have to smile at you cleaning up for the burglars. but hopefully they won't come visiting and you will return to a spotless clean home. Have a wonderful time, dear friend. I'll be thinking of you! Oma , that’s sad about your neighbour . Where we used to live the neighbour opposite us has mental health issues. She is a lovely lady but every now and again she has needed medical help, sometimes she has been admitted into hospital for a short while.
OH spoke to her husband just last week, she has now become house bound, she is unable to walk very far . It’s so sad, the lady is only a year older than me.

I gave up on a good nights sleep at about 3ish this morning and at the moment I feel bright eyed and bushy tailed, it won’t last I am sure , this afternoon I am bound to feel worn out.

Its still dark dark here at the moment so I don’t know what the day will bring but have a good one ladies.

A wet one here, the golf course is closed, so no competition for OH.
I am meeting a friend for lunch. From there I will go to collect GS1 from school, then back to his until his parents come back.

Good morning everyone. It’s dull and grey here, but very mild. I’m glad I haven’t put all my summer clothes away because I’m still wearing them on days like this!

Gd2 was still asleep when I got to their house this morning, so we’re having a nice relaxed start to the day. Both GDs are so excited about the puppy - only 3 sleeps GD tells me about every five minutes. Mum and Dad spent the weekend ‘puppy proofing’ the house. But I’m quite sure the puppy will find ways to make his presence felt. LOL

I hope all the ladies on holiday are having a lovely time. 👍👍👍

Morning ladies , I have spent the last couple hours cleaning cupboards ,
I started with the one under the stairs , didn't set out to clean it but couldn't find something so everything came out and sorted .
I also sorted through my makeup too , 7 Mascaras went ,why do we keep them when we don't like or use them again ?

Mimi , Gem is right B's Birthday isn't till this Sunday and we off to his family in Germany in December just for 4 days
Taking MIL to see her sister they both in their 80's now and she thinks might be last time she travels back home ,

Morning everyone, overcast and mild here. Window cleaners have just been, so no excuse not to clean the insides. Nothing planned for today apart from finishing the bedroom cleaning, GD helped me swivel the mattress around, not possible to turn it, very heavy mattress. I pulled the bed out and cleaned behind and under it and hoovered the mattress. I also put the electric blanket on ready for the colder weather, now I just have to clean the window and dust. I ought to take the curtain down and clean the vertical blinds but I am anticipating having the room decorated next year so they can wait. I might pop out to see a friend who has recently lost her husband but first I MUST GET DRESSED.

I expect Qwerty will soon be enjoying the sunshine like Zizi.
