WeeGranny, it's funny that sometimes things just get too much. There was one day when I felt the heat was making me tired, even though I normally feel much better for it. Your DS is going to pack a lot into his visit, but at least you get to celebrate his birthday with him. I just assume banks charge for paper statements! They seem to charge for everything else.

Enfys - I'm glad the shooting incident didn't result in more serious injuries, but it's very worrying. Glad you enjoyed your exercise today.

GM - I don't often get a free day and when I do it goes straight to my head, and I flit from one thing to another unable to believe I've actually got time to slow down and enjoy what I'm doing!

Qwerty - your child minding days are diminishing quickly now. We haven't got any holiday booked, and I don't know quite how things are going to work out in September. I shall probably still have Cooper the dog some days, as well as picking the girls up from school. The girls are getting into the swing of playing together - lots of screaming, running round and in and out of the garden, but that's fine. They also did painting yesterday for quite a while. In some ways having both of them is easier.


Oma - no wonder your GS1 needs a day off - all that training, and he's a growing lad. I bet your fridge door opens as soon as he walks through the door.

I've had a lazy day today. I weighed out 4 or 5 kilos of dog food this morning, and did a load of washing. It was a lovely drying day and my whites did look nice and sparkly white blowing in the wind. After lunch I felt really lazy and sat and watched a few You Tube videos on drawing techniques, then around tea time we took Eva for a run in the paddock. She was quite tired from 4 days of visiting dogs but enjoyed having a trot round. I've finally managed to upload my attempt at the Summer Story Challenge, but OH's computer is still gobbling up more than its share of the internet!

I have read through all the posts in chat since I posted this morning but too many to reply to you chatty lot 😁

Well I went to the Halifax, and I'm still carrying on with mum's online banking .They will send her monthly statements and I can take the book in to have it updated. This of course means I have to go in from time to time so not much benefit really. It does mean I can pay any bills for her rather than her write a cheque.
We called on a friend who lives near the bank. To drop off her birthday card and some tomatoes. She asked us in for a cuppa. Then on to Leeds to IKEA which was really quiet!! Another friend called in just after we got home so another cuppa and chat .A busy day ☺️

GS3 cooked a lovely spag bol. I enjoyed his and his younger brother's company, they are lovely young men but I wish they were closer. GS3 explained some things to me about my car, I did warn him not to give me too much info. at once, I need it drip fed. His GF is back tomorrow and their parents will be back on Sunday and then we are all off to Cornwall on the Friday.

Good morning all. It looks like we’ve had rain overnight and it’s much cooler now. We both slept very well, either because it wasn’t hot or all the exercise yesterday wore us out 🙂. We had rain overnight so I won’t have to water the beans this morning.It’s sunny now so hope that lasts. I actually cut the back grass yesterday for the first time in I don’t know how long. Front grass is still all crispy.

We have had rain! Not much, but some. Another free day here. Today I will make something. Yesterday I got sidetracked in the garden and harvested my onions, some are whoppers! Then I harvested the flower seeds from the heads I had put in my g’house/shed. I love that job. Then I wasted the rest of the day. Today I will be disciplined.
I hope all goes well at the hospital Oma. Plant, are you packing? Glad you enjoyed the spaghetti Bol. Enfys, enjoy lunch, Nanto2 ,Clover and all, have a relaxing day.

Good morning everyone! We've also had rain and it is much cooler. I've put jeans on for the first time for ages!

We're going shopping - nothing very exciting. A quick trip to Sainsburys for me while OH gets my car properly cleaned (as opposed to the quick wash in Sainsburys) and then on to the garden centre. I need to plant up the rockery/water feature we've been renovating. The idea is to get plants in quickly before the weeds come back! I might just pop into Pets' Corner as well - poor Eva's toys have been eaten alive with both the other dogs here!

Having lunch with Aqua friends in my favourite eatery, I haven't been to Aqua since the car accident as without a car to get there, very nice of them to include my in their lunch. Hope to go back when I come back from holiday if they have a space. I think I will need warmer clothes today. GS pointed out that I have Union Jack rear lights on my car, what's that all about? Must get someone to check if they change when I am driving.

Good morning all .How is everyone . I will have to read the posts from the last few days to see what you have all been up to.

I did sort of get a better deal with the broadband . I didn't change supplier as OH wants BT sport and if we change to Sky etc, any money saved on a cheaper deal is lost when BT sport is added , We get BT sport at a discount with BT broadband . You never beat the system do you. The companies always win in the end,
BT was going to increase my monthly payments from next month but if I upgraded to their all signing , all dancing , faster broadband I would get it cheaper than what I am paying now plus it wouldn't increase for 18 months. Confused You bet I am

We called into Morrisons and then home and I fell asleep on the sofa for almost a hour , no sleep again last night and the heat at the Hospital just sucked my energy I couldn't keep my eyes open
