Morning ladies , Clover I have the same problem , I rang my sister yesterday to tell her something my Brother said when he came with my Birthday card and that was last month , I just kept forgetting to tell her so I thought while I remembered I would ring or I would forget again

Well just been to pick my Bargain Blouse up from Asda I had it delivered to store , Needed bread so ended up spending £24 on food I didn't intend buying ,as you do
Did the washing this morning That's dry ready to iron later
Hope it stays fine its GS1's Football clubs Fete this afternoon , DD has organised everything she's worked very hard on it these past few weeks organising raffles, collecting donated stuff , stalls, a visit from the local Fire brigade, Bouncy castle, BBQ the lot she's exhausted bless her she's also had her work and meetings to go to , and look after the house get it all sorted as they go on holiday on Wednesday, like me she cleans it from top to bottom before she goes .
We going along to support her then back for DS and children coming they didn't get hear yesterday ,

Morning all well it is still morning tired tired tired flipping heck we've started stripping wall OH will paint the ceiling and walls one of the walls is stone it's a pig to paint its rough stone it was the outside wall before we extended the house so made it a feature wall seemed a good idea at the time lol, luckily though we have no gloss paint in any of the house all doors , skirting windows are wood varnished or plastic so shouldn't take all week, we have bought different shades of striped wallpaper in taupe and beiges colours it's not a big room so needs something lighter to make it look bigger, here endeth my diy blog 😀
Determined the decorating is not going to take over my restful week so meeting DD for cake and coffee in Leeds she will take an extended lunch break and I'm doing some retail therapy so there !!!
Cuttting down on cleaning as no sticky finger this week, tidying up of toys preparing meals for LOs no noisy playgroup the list goes on and at the end of week a day out somewhere for us so look out I could be in a town near you
Oma I have spotted a white blouse/ shirt in M&S will be checking it out next week, I do have a long cream shirt / tunic I spilt some chilli down it the other day but it came out phew
Clover I do that all the time more with friends I don't see often so I forget what happened a few weeks ago and then get annoyed and have to send a text starting with " oh by the way "

Gem enjoy your roast always better when someone else cooks it even if S has to sing for her supper so to speak our roast is at tea time due to unforeseen circumstances says I with scraper in hand 😀

Oma, it is always the busy people doing all the work isn't it?! Good for your DD. Mine runs her own business (with SIL and have several employees) does a full time job in part time hours and has 2 children including a baby, and still takes an active role in PTA and fundraising. You Know the saying 'If you want something doing ask a busy woman

Qwerty, I'm glad you have something planned for your 'week off' apart from decorating! If it gets to much, call in a decorator!

We have stripped the bed and got the bedding washed and on the line. Hopefully we will get it back on before we go to our friends at 3ish.
I have steamed the floors too. That's enough for today, as I have pulled a muscle in my back around my waist. Not total agony, but it sore when I move in certain ways.

Went out for walk yesterday and came back to message from DS : Bit of an emergency here. Can we skype ASAP, please? Mind goes into overdrive so we skype to find out he's broken his knee and something else in his leg and his leg's in plaster up to the knee! Can he come home please? He's only been skateboarding and fell off awkwardly. Wouldn't be so bad if he was a teenager, but he's 37!!! Now waiting for a date for him to come home. Should be fun as we will have GS here too and the decorators are coming in to do bathroom/shower room and our bedroom!! Think I may have to find a quiet spot away from it all. Now have visions of us pushing a wheelchair through Stansted with DS in it! Do sons EVER grow up??

Had a lovely afternoon at GS1's Football club fete DD did a excellent job and lots and lots of money raised.
Josh won a Scholl nail care set worth £33 in Argos , he gave it to me so I gave him £5 he went and bought more tickets and won loads more he won a very nice watch he was thrilled with it , some designer I'm not sure who but he was well impressed ,
DD friend had a cake stall so I bought chocolate cake and scones , I know she's a fab cake maker as ive tasted them before , will have a piece later with a cup of tea
Weather was just right nice and warm but not too sunny , a really good turn out ,
We left just as the BBQ was on the go , the queue was so big DD was wondering if they would have enough burgers and hot dogs , so SIL was shipped off for more,

The fire brigade had all the kids on the engine and let them try the helmets and coats on , a perfect day for it all

Well we had a lovely meal out today. 6 of us went,pleased to say eldest grandaughter and her partner were able to make it.
We all settled for the carvery, and each of us enjoyed it.
Some of us had desert, but we did share them, never seen foot long eclairs before, but they were scrummy.

Nanto we have a place near us that does Eclair's and cakes like that , no way could one person eat one on their own Huge portions
