Hi everyone, and welcome home Enfys!

We had a really good day, but I am shattered now and off to bed in case little darling wakes me in the night (luckily he is totally adorable so instantly forgiven )
I will catch up at some point tomorrow.
    Night all

      Welcome home Enfys.

Yesterday was was a busy day . I filled up part of the garden boarder with some plants from the tubs that were standing on the patio, partly to stop so many cats using the garden as a convince and party to make more room on the patio, the only downside to all that hard work is backache ! The rest of the day was spent doing odd jobs around the flat, goodness knows what I actually did do but it took all day to do it !
Today we are having a family get together ( minus eldest DS, I never get them all together) to celebrate youngest GS's first birthday. It will be his birthday on Tuesday but it's more convenient to meet at the weekend. We have a table booked at the local pub which is very family friendly, it has a lovely garden with a play area for the children.

Nan2 I have bought tomato plants from eBay and I have to say I was very pleased with the condition in them when they arrived in the post, the service was as good as any online garden centre but at half the price. What plant are you looking for ?

Hope everyone is well and enjoys the weekend.

Just remembered, I spoke to my neighbour yesterday about his wife who had a stoke, in his very limited English I understand that she has managed to move walk a few steps with the aid of two nurses and a walking frame. He said she is 'angry ' at how long it's taking to progress. I think he means she is frustrated. I think she has made a huge improvement in a short space of time .
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

            Good morning, ladies.

Mimi - good to hear your neighbour it making progress, even if it's not fast enough for her, poor lady.

Nanto - I wonder what your OH will bring home from the boot sale. I always dread my OH going to any sort of sale - we're trying to get rid of junk not add to it - well, I am, he isn't!!! And you've got an exciting trip to Screwfix - you lucky lady.

Oma - poo you. You sound in agony. For goodness sake take it easy and get fit enough to enjoy J's concert. He's so talented - clever, sporty and musical. xx

Gem - I hope everything went well yesterday - and you all got a good night's sleep.

We're having a slow start after all the excitement of yesterday and it's already quite hot. I think we'll have to wait until just before it goes dark to take Eva out.

Oma, hope you feel better soon.
Daisy, i am always nervous when hubby goes to a car boot sale, wondering what rubbish he will bring back.
He said there was nothing there today that he wanted/needed.
We are planning on doing a car boot sale next week, weather permitting.
              Gem, hope you slept well.

It is hard to do things without a friend who has passed away. My very best friend who passed away about the same time Qwerty would push me into doing things I wouldn't normally do. I miss her so much, I am getting better at going on trips but not back swimming, finding that hard but I have joined an Aqua Robics class at a different pool. Raise a toast to your friend and the good times you had together Qwerty.

Qwerty - I'm very tempted to go to the Granny's Arm for a late lunch-time drinkie, but it's so hot I think I'll wait till it's gone cooler - many thanks. Poor you - I do hope the rest will do you good. I'll be thinking about you and your friends when you meet up tomorrow. It will be hard, I know, but try and remember the fun times you had, talk about her, and remember it's ok to be sad. xx

Plant - you've done well to start going on trips again and to join an Aquarobics class. I bet she's looking down on you and willing you to pick up the threads a bit. Perhaps sometime this summer you will feel able to go back to the swimming pool you used to enjoy with your dear friend. xx

Gem - oh the dreaded disturbed nights! I hope you are getting a bit of rest today. xx

Plant and Qwerty, it' hard to do things which you used to do with friends now gone, I know xx

SIL (with a little help from DD3) cooked a lovely lunch. He is a marvellous cook and produces meals to rival most restaurants, an invitation to their is always a treat!
When we got home OH and I sat in the garden for while, now she is catching up with Wimbledon.
