Good Sunday morning, ladies. Only a very watery sun for us, but I hope it perks up - I really must cut the lawn today! Nanto - please send your sun our way.
I'm feeling about 100 this morning after a 6 ½ k dog training walk yesterday. OH had spent the morning at the allotment - all the runner beans are planted! - so I went on my own and even though Eva was good it was still quite hard work. Today OH has promised to help me plant tomatoes in the outdoor troughs in the garden. It's slightly early but the forecast for the coming week is good, so we'll chance it. We're going away in the caravan on Wednesday till Saturday so I'm trying to get the garden sorted out a bit. The kitchen is now finished - I've just got to wash down all the cupboards and put everything back in its place - if I can find them!!
Gem - a new car - how exciting. I'm sure OH will enjoy driving it. I hope you had a nice evening with your friends.
Oma - I do wish you lived next door to me - when you run out of cleaning things in your house you would be welcomed here with open arms! Our GSs are a similar age to your GS1 and I do worry about what they get up to when they're out and about - especially GS1 who has no 'danger' filter.
Qwerty - it's going to be a busy week for you, as well as your DD and SIL. It's the same for my DS1 and DIL - they always both seem to be extra busy at the same time. DS is off to San Fransisco today, back on 1 June - he was going for just one day, for an important meeting, but has changed his mind! I feel a bit helpless because there's nothing I can do for DIL1 on a day to day basis when the boys are in school - it's too far away. But her own mum is a treasure and lives near by. I can't see your photos at the moment, and I'm not sure why! I'll try and sort it out.
Whatever you're doing, ladies - have a lovely day. I'm off to get a load of washing in - lovely!!!!

Good morning.
The sun is shining , hopefully it will be a nice day with no rain!
This afternoon we are going to a 10 year olds climbing wall party It's OH's godson. Fortunately all we are required to do is chat and drink coffee!
I'm hoping we can have lunch out first as I think the party starts at 3. OH has to check on that.
The car is a Qashqai Qwerty. OH has wanted one for a while now. It is the same model as Oma's, so an added bonus of meeting last week was she could get a bit of insider info before she had her test drive.
I was a little concerned as the girl who came with us on our test drive yesterday was a young girl. Knew her all her stuff, really nice, but I wouldn't like my DDs going off in the back seat of a car with strangers. When we got back I asked our salesman if they would send her out if the driver was a man, and he said yes, there had never been a problem. Maybe it's just me, but I would not be happy for any of my family to be doing that! She was a tiny little thing too.
Daisy, don't overdo it with the cleaning and planting! I'm sure you are ready for your few days away.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - I bet you're very glad you don't have to join in OH's Godson's party activity!
I suppose girls are at all sorts of risks in many jobs, but I must admit I hadn't thought of taking people out on a test drive. And you never know - she may have a black belt in judo.
Yes, we are ready for our little break, but will have decorating the dining room as a treat when we get back.

Morning ladies a late start for us , we were to have GS1 stay last night but after he had been to the fair he wanted to play football with his friends and then he wanted a KFC so we decided to just babysit at DD , they rang at 12 couldn't get a taxi so B went to pick them up , by time they got home and DD wanted to chat it was 1.30 when we left . I sort of fell into bed not having much sleep the night before , I didn't even take my makeup off . They going on a Helicopter ride this morning a Christmas gift from SIL's parents .
We off to B&Q I need some builders sand to put in the bottom of my new tall planters to weigh them down and hubby wants nails ,what for I'm still not sure

Hope you all have a lovely day. I am having a quiet day as very busy and exciting family gathering yesterday. I believe they are all gathering today as GS and new girlfriend are expected to join the family later to see baby and GD just back from Canada. Planted some leek plants someone gave me, they are good at looking after themselves, potted up a Bidens in courtyard, pulled out some forget-me-nots and I am off to sun lounge with the papers.

Had a lovely day the weather is glorious actually wore flip flops today. Took M and T for a toby carvery, we all left suitably stuffed to the gills. Plan was to come home and carry on planting up my herb box, but too full to move. Girls leave at 4.30 and Im looking forward to getting into my pjs and a cool glass of shandy in the evening sun. 🍻"What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

OH is Googling how to siphon petrol out of your car, as she absent mindledly almost filled the tank a few days ago and is leaving it in part exchange for her new car tomorrow
The wall climbing party went well. There were six 10 year old boys. All lovely and well behaved Plant, no fear of me climbing as you were not even allowed in the climbing area unless you had signed some long disclaimer form! Coffee, birthday cake and chat for us! We had Sunday lunch out first, so all in all a relaxing day. It seems to be the day for Sunday lunches out on this forum
