Qwerty you can do it ,
It was lovely when we came home but its started to cloud over now. I'm praying for a nice weekend I want to get my new tubs sorted and start painting the fence
Pleased to hear the lunch went well.
Gem, hope OH is feeling better.
Rain prevented us from doing anything in the garden, but hubby had a few jobs to do in shed.
I made some cottage pies for the freezer,in between doing housework.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
I'm off out for lunch again today. I can't back out as I'm giving a friend a lift, but I really need to get on with jobs in the garden. We are hoping to go away for a few days next week and can't decide whether tomatoes that are 'almost' ready to go outside will be better in the greenhouse or in the garden. It's too early to get a reasonable weather report, but I need to get on with whatever I decide to do! I also need to portion up and freeze food for Eva while we're away as well as catch up on all the washing etc I haven't been able to do while the utility room has been out of action.
Nanto - the recent rain has made the grass shoot up - ours is too wet to cut though.
Oma - it's time you had a relaxing day. Enjoy it.

Sunny here atm, had lots of rain for the garden yesterday, border looking very colourful and gardener (SIL) cut the grass at the weekend. Might pop to W/rose today instead of tomorrow as I have a warfarin and a blood test appt. tomorrow morning and as GD is expected to be back from Canada early tomorrow, I want to be here sometime to see her.
Talking about gardens Daisy, that blue plant you were planting in your new front border, I planted one in a large pot under my Hamamelis and it is looking lovely, it is such a strong blue colour and I didn't realise it was evergreen.
Good morning.
Daisy you are lady who lunches this week
Sunny here too Nan2, but quite a few clouds about.
OH is hoping the weather stays nice for this afternoons golf, as it was cancelled on Tuesday.
Mum day for me. We will go to see my sister this afternoon. Mum has wanted to for a couple of weeks but I was too sore from radiotherapy to drive that far. Still sore, but much improved!
I have asked mum to come back for tea today. For years she was here every Thursday for a meal and part of the evening, but it's a rare occurrence these days, she likes to be at home!

Hello, morning and afternoon I had good intentions of checking in here this morning but housework got the better of me, OH cleaning oven bless he's a good'n quiet day taking charge of new microwave the first one arrived on Tuesday with a 5'' dent in it .
Blinding sunshine at 7 this morning but very dull now but getting washing dried always a bonus
Plant bet your excited about G/d tomorrow
Gem enjoy your time with family today
Enjoy your lunch Daisy we haven't been out this week for our own pleasure must make up for it next week 😀
Hope everyone has had or is still having a good day.
Plant that plant sounds lovely.Blue is my favourite colour. Perhaps you or Daisy could remind me of its name?
It's been a sunny day here and I should have cut the grass.Instead we went out to a retail park on the bus. It takes an hour but I do like to do something out of routine at least once a week.I think it helps OH to get out and about and though we go for a walk most days we both enjoy an "outing" We pushed the boat out and had lunch in Morrisons Lovely not to have to cook this evenings and just have a snack.
Well, went to the in laws this morning,to find their phones weren't working. Spent 35 minutes on phone (thank goodness for mobiles) while they checked for the fault.
She said it looks like the fault is outside the property, if it had been inside the property, it would cost £130 to do repairs.
Then i was told they would get someone out in 48 hours. I stressed that parents are in their 90s and the phone is a lifeline for them.
Anyway, she managed to get someone to come out tomorrow morning, between 8 and 1.
So, i went to see their next door neighbour, who said if they need anything, they just had to knock on the wall, and he would go round.
Left him our phone numbers, so he can ring if need be.
Came home and had a quick cuppa, then cut the grass.Weather was very sunny and warm, until about 3ish, then it clouded over, and wev'e had a few spots of rain., but not much.

Just a quickie to say that my eye appointment was fruitful. He confirmed I haven't got Macular degeneration. Phew what a relief. I won't go into detail but it's almost a certainty I will have to have another operation to peel the scar tissue from the back of my eye. Hopefully that will sort my distorted vision in my right eye.
Gem, thanks for information re meet up. Will get back to you Saturday. Looking forward to putting faces to names next week.

Nana, pleased to hear you don't have MD. Mam has that.
