We saw the The Lion King in 2000 in London.Hubby wasn't all that fussy about seeing it,but he enjoyed it, and he was very impressed with stage,
said there was nothing that stage couldn't do.
It feels very cold tonight, but according to forecast, there is some milder air coming throughout the week.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Plant - very happy birthday to your GD. You were wise to stay in the warmth - it was a bitterly cold wind.
Nanto - I didn't realis the Lion King has been running that long - and I still haven't seen it."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Sshhh, I'm whispering this so as not to disturb anyone.
As I can't sleep I have had a look at the advent calendar thread and I see you kindly reserved a spot for me yesterday but I didn't arrive.
So sorry but OH wasn't well. He had been complaining about pains in his upper arm. This has been going on all week, OH did a lot of fretting and winching but refused point blank to go to the Drs about it. By yesterday I had ,had enough. I saw red and I booked a taxi and made him go to the local drop in medical centre where they hold a 7 days a week clinic. The idea is that people to go there rather than A nand E for non emergencies.
The world and his wife was there, so after a 3hour wait he was eventually seen . OH had talked himself into believing he had suffered another heart attack. I was convinced it was muscle strain. I was correct, it was muscle strain, rather bad actually but nevertheless not a heart attack thankfully.
By the time he had picked up his painkillers and we got back home it was middle afternoon.
I then had to phone both his sisters who were concerned about him as he was unwell at our night out the previous evening so all in all the advent calendar wasn't on my mind that day.
Now I am going to attempt to try and get some sleep.
Goodnight everyone .Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma , you ramble away , we love to hear your rambles 😉
I hope Bs sickness is soon under control . How is your DD this morning.Oma you have a lot on your mind at the moment don't you, remember to pop on here and let it all out, don't bottle things up will you ? It won't do you any good to try and cope without a safety valve.
Nanto if hubby gets bored I have a spare room here with a tin of paint waiting to be decorated. I am in most days and I can supply tea and coffee non stop if required.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone.
Brrrrr, it's cold! Frosty and minus 2.
Mimi, thank goodness your OH hadn't had another heart attack. It must have been an extremely stressful day.
Oma, I hope your DD is better soon, and they can start to control OHs sickness . Take care of you too!
Nan2, what a time to start decorating! !
Today I will take GS1 back to his house after preschool, rather than coming here. We may have lunch out, then will spend the rest of the day there, until DD gets home from work.

Good morning ladies. It's chilly here but not frosty, but it took me nearly an hour to get an internet connection this morning. Sigh!!!
Mimi - thank goodness your OH hasn't suffered another heart attack. Well done to you for insisting he got the pain checked out. I hope you manage to get some rest today and recover from a stressful time.
Oma - Poor B, the sickness must be horrible for him. I do hope they can control it so he can eat. Is he ok taking fluids? I hope your DD is feeling better - she must be worried about her Dad and that will add to her stress. Oh dear, I wish there was something practical I could do to help. Thank goodness you've got such fantastic friends in your SIL's parents. You know you can come on here and ramble away anytime, love. xxx
Gem - for some reason I thought you had a hospital appointment today. I'm confused! I hope GS1 gives you a nice relaxed afternoon. xx
I'm picking GD2 up from playgroup at 12, and I need to write overseas Christmas cards first. It's the one thing I do early because I have a couple of birthday cards to send abroad as well.
Nanto - I asked, more in hope than expectation yesterday if we had time to decorate the hall, stairs and landing before Christmas. OH's reply was a very firm "No"! That's me told, then.

Poor Brian I hope they get this sickness under control, must be so debilitating for him. Thank goodness he is getting plenty of fluids. Hope your DD feels better soon, what a lot you have on your plate at the moment. Try and get some rest when you get the opportunity. Mimi sympathy I know how stubborn men can be. No frost here, we are due a mild spell apparently. Not doing much today as I had a really busy day yesterday, we seem to be all sorted for Christmas and New Year, so I shan't be doing any cooking. DD has I invited us for boxing day, and my sister phoned yesterday and invited for dinner on NYE."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."
