Oma - Love the photos, but a bit worried about the lady in the mask!!! I'm glad B's comfy and being well looked-after. I was telling my DIL about him being able to take his own pillow and duvet, and she didn't believe me! She said what about any germs that might be on them, and I told her you are the Gran who cleans her skirting boards with a toothbrush and hoovers the lawn before breakfast! No germ would stand a chance!

Enfys - that sounds like an interesting trip. A relative of ours works there and they don't get free samples either!

Gem - it has been bitterly cold today. And I should think you're tired after such a long and busy day.

We've had a nice day up at DS1's (although he wasn't there). I was able to go with DIL to pick both GSs up from school, and we had a lovely dinner before driving home.

Morning ladies, we are both rather fragile this morning. We went to the evening reception for the wedding of hubs niece, was a great night but we are paying the price for our alcohol consumption. So its going to be a quiet day in this house, apart from taking Shiloh for his exercise I shall not be moving far from the sofa. Oma give our best wishes to Brian.

Lg - sorry about that. I've approved it and trying to find out why it's happening.

We are both not well today. Yesterday I was sick on the coach coming back from Gatwick - thank goodness I have zip lock plastic bags in my hand bag. I don't know where it came from but put it down to being tired. I had to rush to the loo in terminal 5 at Heathrow to get rid of the bag and clean my teeth! When we got home at 7.30am ish we went to bed but I couldn't sleep so came into the sitting room and eventually fell asleep on the sofa for four hours! We went out and got meat, bread, veg this morning and both came back feeling under the weather. I am concerned that he might have a prostate problem with pains and things he says is happening so I made an appointment for him with the doctor on Wednesday. He is having a flu jab tomorrow as well. We have discussed the appointment on Wednesday and I have made him promise that if the doctor thinks there is a medical problem he will ask for an open referral letter so I can use my private healthcare from work instead of having to wait for the NHS. I know the NHS is good in most cases but if I can get it done quicker via my private healthcare it will be worth it, I do try to choose people who are exclusively private so it does not take away from the NHS. I pay tax on the provision of health care through my salary so it is not entirely free but a whole lot less money than if we had to pay our own health insurance

I felt felt really ill and breathless this morning, also exhausted. He went off to bed for an hour after shopping and putting away and I went on line to check some bills and the bank and I suddenly felt very very sick. I spent an hour with my head down the loo chucking up! I feel quite a lot better now and the breathlessness seems to have gone. I think this long haul travel is beginning not to agree with me (especially after last year being taken off the plane!).

Sorry to moan when others are having a much harder time......

So anyway, got back from shopping and post man had left a note to say there was a parcel in the plastic box in the garden. Husband went to get it and found the parcel from the on line shopping company which had a note on, from the postman, saying he had found it on the doorstep. This was the delivery that first of all was not made and then was sent a second time supposed to be in time for holiday and clearly only arrived today! Also in there was a Groupon parcel which husband had ordered when we were away. I knew he was up to mischief. We had been to a garden
/bird sanctuary and there were flamingos there - he was mucking about on line when we got back to the apartment and I heard him giggling to himself. He wouldn't tell me what he was doing. Today I found out. He had ordered these hideous solar bright pink plastic flamingos for the garden - when I say hideous I mean TRULY awful. They are to remind me of the nice day we had apparently, I know it is a joke but he really wants to put them in my garden. My pretty, tasteful, cottagey looking garden! I said to him a short while ago that he was not to go ordering anymore rubbish from Groupon. I looked at his face which prompted me to ask "what else have you ordered?" He showed me a garden set, two armchairs a two seater sofa and a coffee table all designed for outdoor so waterproof. We were going to have a new patio laid but the quotes have come in very expensive so he now wants decking (which I don't but whatever). We already have a big table and eight chairs and a parasol for when everyone comes around. He paid £95 reduced from £599 (allegedly) for the new stuff. At least they are nice and not luminous yellow or something equally as awful.

Daisy, Plant is right, our posts are needing to be approved in areas such as these, which shouldn't need it. I noticed this morning before I went out.

Zizi I'm so sorry you are both unwell
