Morning ladies still raining , Gem take it easy today , Plant good to hear your getting better,
been to buy Emulsion this morning , the decorated called yesterday to say he could fit us in on Thursday to do all my ceilings but I can't be bothered with the mess at the minute so I've opted just to have sitting room ceiling done for now and wait till the spring for all the rest .
He was fine about it as he said he has lots of work on it will give him extra time to catch up , I've waited months for a slot but have other things to fret about for the minuteIm not fat just 6ft too small

Gem are you ok?
Here is an update on the on going saga of my mobile phone that went for repair on the 12th November. I was told it would take no more than three days to mend.
The days have come and gone and I am still without a phone.
After a 'conversation' via Webb chat on the Vodafone web site I was told my phone was fixed and it would be ready to collect on Tuesday. Off to the shop I went only to discover the phone wasn't there. It turns out that the repair team was supposed to ring (they were given my landline number so no excuses) or email me to explain what was going on. As the phone is still under warranty they are going to replace it with a new phone ( so they say ) and as they no longer have a new phone like mine they are going to upgrade my phone ( so they say ) . This is all well and good but I now have to wait another week till I get the stupid thing. Why I have to wait a week I don't know. I told them I needed a phone by tomorrow as OH has to go to Birmingham hospital and I need the phone to keep in contact with him . They offered me a courtesy phone but..... they don't have any left and as soon as they get one in they will ring me..... I'm not holding my breath.
When this is all done and sorted I will be getting in touch with Vodafone with a strongly worded letter of complaint and questions.
Do they not know who they are dealing with, this is the woman who got a complete refund off the hotel that we stayed at for DDs wedding because of the dreadful conditions we had to put up with. I even had the bill for the £150 + evening meal we paid for.
All I can say is look out Vodafone . This phone was reported as fixed on the 16th November and each time I rang I was fobbed off with excuses after excuses.
Rant over.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Vodafone, you've picked on the wrong person, Mimi will sort you out! Mind you Vodafone deserve it after such appalling service, especially with it still being under warrantee. Let us know how it goes, Mimi. I don't use my phone a lot, but I feel lost without it!
Gem, I'm glad you didn't have to see all 3 clients. I do hope you're feeling a bit better today. I can imagine how worried you must have felt. Falling is bad enough but knowing GS1 was in the car must have added to your stress levels.
Plant, fingers crossed you get signed off today.
Oma, I should think one room disrupted is enough, especially at the moment, but it will be nice for B to come home to. Try and give yourself an easy afternoon, tomorrow is going to be a big day for you both. Xxx
unbelievable, but the sun is shining at the moment. 😍"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

The nice young lady Physio was pleased with my grip and movement and advised me to go back to the exercises for my shoulder as that is still painful at times. Large muscles there to heal so will get back to those.
Called at a large recycling centre to unload some cardboard boxes, felt so pleased with myself only to get back and found I had missed one on the back seat. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

To be honest ladies I should have put off even having the sitting room done but I want that one out of the Way and at least if in the spring he's still not 100% he has somewhere to sit in comfort while the rest of house is disrupted,
Plant it all sounds positive doesn't it , I bet your relieved it's getting better by the day ,
Went into garden to pick all the leaves up this afternoon they were so wet I was afraid to use the leaf blower/ sucker with it being electric so I used the snow shovel and scooped them all into the corner then just bagged them by hand , it actually did a grand job and quickly . My back is breaking but it looks tidy now 😀Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good evening.
What a wet and miserable day!
OH kindly drove me to my client and carried my couch for me ,and went to Sainsburys while I worked
I'm ok, body just feeling a bit delicate today!
I'm glad someone saw the sun Daisy.
Mimi, no wonder you are annoyed
Oma I can understand why you want the living room ceiling painting, ,and I agree it's a good idea to leave the rest.
Plant, it sounds as though your physio is pleased with you, and you are doing well. You can't keep a good woman down!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Well I have decided to cancel the Decorator I really can't face it , we talked about it with DD tonight and she's right the ceilings are fine they really don't need doing now , also she pointed out I most likely won't sleep well tomorrow night so do I really need the bother of moving everything out of sitting room first thing on Thursday morning ,Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good for your DD Oma, she speaks sense. Its not as though either of you smoke or anything is it. Haven't had much chance to log on housework dog walk, ironing ugh. Then after being under duress from hubby sorted through 6 boxes of Christmas decorations. Ridiculous really, 4 sets of lights and heaven, knows what else. Even found an unused set of 3 Christmas boxes that light up, DD soon claimed those. Charity box is full to overflowing, I have been told there is no way we are taking that lot when we move. We are slowly preparing for moving next year and need to get rid of lots of stuff. Most of our furniture won't be coming with us except my lovely natural pine, which I refuse to part with. I can see us going with very little, but will buy all new for our little des res.Early start tomorrow, my dear friend has to have a colonoscopy and is 1st on the list at 8.15, I am accompanying her as her hubby was unable to get the time off. Fingers crossed there is nothing serious in the results.Last edited by Libra Gran; 22-11-2016, 08:46 PM."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Libra we did that when we down sized we only brought the fridge freezer, a lovely dining room set (I regret selling now ) and our bed from old house we sold everything and bought new .
Gem I will wait till spring now as Libra said earlier we don't smoke or have smoking in the house so they don't really get dirty , but I know they need doing at some point 😊Im not fat just 6ft too small
