Afternoon ladies , had a busy morning did my housework then we put the lights up outside ready for Christmas , our neighbour offered to do them while OH in Hospital but we have our own way of putting them out and I didn't want to risk him falling off the ladders just for us ,
The same neighbour rang our bell at 7.30 this morning when I opened the door he was standing with a joint of meat in a roasting tin , they are having people around for lunch and the oven packed in , lucky our oven was already hot as we had a brisket cooking so bunged his in with ours , the hob was working so he could get the veg done , then a little while later his wife came with a Apple pie that needed cooking 😀
I think we all dread the oven packing in and you can guarantee it will be when you have guests coming for a meal .
OH upstairs wrapping presents for two youngest GC he likes to do that job and he does it better than me ,
I'm waiting for floors to fully dry then I can put chairs back at table and then I'm doing nothing .

Daisy,according to hubby it's still 15 pairs of shoes.leaving here about 6am.We are going from Doncaster, so it's about 40 minutes drive.
Wrapping presents isn't my favourite job, but i do it better than hubby.
Oma, we have a double oven, so if one went kaput,we could use the other one.only really use the small oven, except when we have visitors,or when i do my Christmas baking.

Now don't be alarmed but OH and I are going to delve into the cupboard and get out our CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. !!!!
Right you can all relax now,we have absolutely no intention of putting the up just yet!

I asked OH to find the GSs Christmas stockings from the garage today. I need two more the same styles but no luck on the internet. I looked at the label inside & they're from Morrisons. Got them last year. I've looked at their site & of course this yr's are different. Mimi I hope you don't mind me asking but you wouldn't have happened to have any stockings from Morrison's would you that were surplus to your requirements? I would be willing to pay + p&p.

I think I might need to trawl the shops when I'm fit.😩

Nana the two stockings I have are plain red with white tops. I'm not sure where I brought them from but they definitely wouldn't have been from Morrisons as I rarely shop there. I will take a photo of them tomorrow and post on here. You never know they might be exactly what you want. They are in perfect condition and I am more than happy to post them to you.

To cheer myself up I made the Christmas cake. The fruit has been soaking for a couple of days .
