Gem - It's surprising how heavy a baby can feel when you're going up and down stairs with him. I'm relieved I no longer have to do that! Glad your OH is around to help today. Enjoy your quiz tonight. It will be nice to have a meal put in front of you after your busy GC day.

Nana - how are you today?

Oma - I should think you need a quiet day after being up so late last night. Did you get to sleep in the end?

OH went up to DS1's last night to help with the DIY and won't be back until Sunday evening, so I've effectively got 3 days to catch up on lots of little jobs. Today I'm going to cook a meal for Tuesday and freeze it, because I'll be out all day Tuesday so need to get organised. Then I've promised myself (well, threatened myself) with the ironing pile - only because I need to tidy the spare bedroom for a visitor staying the night. It's dull, grey and chilly so no distractions in the garden, but Eva will expect to go out for walkies.

Aggie - I hope you don't have to wait too long at the hospital.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Its a cold start to the day, the wind is very chilly.
Aggie, hope your op goes well.
Oma and Gem, i know what you mean, when I was at DDs a few weeks ago I wouldn't carry GS down the stairs as I now need to hold on to the banister so that I can sort of 'twist and jerk' my way down stairs to avoid hurting my hip and back . Crazy isn't it ?
We have DS coming around for lunch today, I we will have pork chop with veg and apple sauce.
      Have a nice day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Sad day, it was my late friends birthday, the first since she died. Lovely messages and pics from her daughters on facebook.

There has been a change in plan, DS isn't coming here today as he has to fix his bike, if he came here , had lunch by the time he would have got back to his place it would be too dark to see what he is doing.

Now I am a little annoyed to say the least, as you know my mobile phone went for repair last Saturday. I rang the Vodafone shop this morning to ask if it was back, no was the answer. I enquired how much longer it would be and he said he is unable to look on my account without me being there. He explained ( rather patronisingly ) that I would receive a text message when it is ready to be collected.
I then asked him to explain to me how this would work as I have my sim card and they have my phone. Correct if I am wrong but don't the two have to come together to enable that to happen ?

                  Mimi, how annoying and idiotic
At one time my ex husband had my phone on his contract. T Mobile would never discuss the simplest thing about my phone unless he was present as well as me! Ludicrous.

Pouring it down here too. Plant you're in my thoughts today. Daisy I hope Eva isn't missing your OH too much like before. Mimi some people are just unreal. Aggie I hope it went well for you at the hospital.

Thanks for your good wishes. I'm hoping I'll soon improve on these steroids. Can't wait to get better as I miss having my GSs sleepovers.

Now don't be alarmed but OH and I are going to delve into the cupboard and get out our CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. !!!!

Now that's got your attention hasn't it ?
Don't worry it's all for a good cause. We have far to many decorations than we need for our small flat so we thought we would look at what we want and what can be donated to our local charity shop down the road from us.

Right you can all relax now,we have absolutely no intention of putting the up just yet!

The family at the end of our road lit up their house last week, ( looks like Chevy Chase's house in the Christmas film).

Thanks everyone for your goodwishes , day surgery first Friday December , for one hand to see how it goes , I have been going on about it for ages and only got a referral last year , now I am told that due to the muscle wasting the outcome isn't a given . Hey ho , it will hopefully be a bit better and not get worse , but compared to what everyone else is going through it is minor ((((((((( hugs ))))))))) to all our poorly friends xxxxxxxxxxxx
