As you say Oma, it was a warning to him, the warfarin should protect him if he slows down.

So sorry to hear about all the poorly family/friends you have at the moment. Hope all goes well for them.
we had a tiny shock yesterday ...... Our beautiful DGD has gorgeous waist length hair, so shiny but yesterday she had dreadlocks put in! My goodness what a difference but she absolutely loves it. After we had got over the surprise and after chatting to her we realised that actually she has come such a long way in the last 3/4 years. Then she was in the throes of really bad depression, didn't want to go out, apart from college, only wore black and hated anyone noticing her. Even at her lowest point sadly self harming. Now, especially with her hair, she is so confident, has a great job that she loves (she is a chef), a lovely boyfriend and is so happy in herself. So her hair is of no importance, we are just happy that she is confident enough to do whatever she wants and not to care what anyone thinks. She still looks beautiful and I love her to bits"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Enfys - it must make you feel so happy to see how she's blossomed. I actually like dreadlocks - I think they appeal to the rebellious teenager in me that never found expression!
Qwerty - my thoughts are with you and your dear friend. xxx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Sorry not to comment on previous posts, but I'm just off to bed. Checking on Twitter before I do, I saw this....'Lowcost Travelgroup has gone into administration..... The group has 27.000 holiday makers in resorts & 110.000 more with bookings'. I hope that none of you holiday makers are booked with them. Night all."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I don't know if it's me or not,but it feels very warm even though it's very cloudy.
Hope all poorly family members and friends are feeling better soon.
Libra, your friend should have been listened to.
Enfys, lovely to hear how your GD has turned her life around.
Very emotional when the kids have their leaving ceremonies and assemblies.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
Nanto - it feels a bit warmer here today - and the sun is shining.
It's a busy day for us - a group dog walk at 1 pm and OH's woodturning club's barbecue at 5. Plus, getting ready for a visitor tomorrow - our old neighbour who is over from Australia for a week. I'm looking forward to seeing her, and thinking about Plant's sad loss andQwerty's worries over her dear friend, it also makes me think about how important all our friends are in our lives.
