GD left her school reading book at our house last night. Because she was reading at the top of the stairs so none of us noticed it when it was time to go . She has a long Jacqueline Wilson book and is determined to finish it in 2 weeks. This is a self imposed limit, not the schools! She was devastated when she realised she didn't have it last night. I was all for DD downloading it onto her Kindle for GD to read in bed, but she's more hard hearted than me so GD had to wait! SIL picked it up after work, so she will be happy to have it back

Gem - It's lovely when young children get the reading habit early like your GD. Mine GD1 has recently finished the reading scheme and is devouring books from school and the library, and I really hope it will be a joy for her for the rest of her life.

Busy day walk the mutt, then shopping with hubs for garden stuff oh and a bag of ready mixed plaster to cover Shilohs destruction grrrr. Then off for coffee with my friend. Cooking tomorrow, out tomorrow night for meal with friends. Shiloh is still in my bad books, he's hit the terrible teens with a vengeance pushing his boundaries. Turned out to be a scorcher of a day , Joshua school fete he was on the face painting stall we wandered around for a bit then went to see him but it was just too hot and bright for me so we will go back and pick him up when it's time for home , a good turn out though 😊
