It's been a beautiful day, but early afternoon it got very heavy and I thought it was going to rain on 2 loads of GDs' washing which were out on the line. But we were lucky and it brightened up again. I got home to find our once-next-door neighbour was here - they now live in Australia. It was great to see him and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the summerhouse watching the sun go down and listening to birdsong - one of the things he misses in Aussie-land.

WG - I always think a funeral seems sadder on a glorious day.

Mimi - I love Chester. I worked there for several years and think it's a beautiful city - even though you take it for granted when you see it every day. I'm sure you will have a great time celebrating your joint anniversaries.

Aggie - I hope your building work doesn't go on for too long.

Lots of busy bees on here today - Oma and Nana decorating. Nana - leaking batteries aren't good news for anything they leak onto or into. If it's an appliance you doh't use very often it's much safer to take them out altogether. I hope nothing's been damaged by the leaks.

      I love Chester too.
We had lovely weather all day, but things are set to change over the next couple of days.
We took OHs car in for a service late afternoon. I was driving us back in my car, when suddenly there was a sheep on the road! A lamb which had managed to escape from the field! I slowed down and pulled over. A woman was trying to catch it, then a man appeared , then OH got out of the car. The lamb wanted to run in the road, everyone wanted it back in the field. They were waving their arms and clapping their hands! Eventually the man managed to grab it, lift it high in the air, and hoist it over the fence into the field. I imagine it's mum gave it a good telling off!

Another very warm morning. We've been out cleaning the patio, before it got too warm.

Going to take the duvet off this morning and put a bedspread on. It will probably turn cold then.

Good morning everyone. Mimi - is it ok if I join you with my cuppa while we watch Nanto cleaning her patio. Nanto - our patio desperately needs cleaning - if you're around our way ..... Actually it's a good idea to get heavy jobs done early when it's hot, but after a very busy day with the GDs yesterday, I'm only just having my first cuppa!

Gem - I can just imagine the scene with everyone trying to shoo the lamb back to safety. Well done to the man who caught it.

It's dog training for us today. It seems to take up a large chunck of the day - a 2 hour class starting at 12.30, but we have to allow three-quarters of an hour to get there because of the traffic. I'm feeling a bit guilty because I haven't done much training with Eva this week.

            Have a good day everyone.

Decorators turned up at 8 am. They're cracking on well with it. Looks like it's going to be another scorcher.😎

Eager decoraters Nana, always a good sign
I hope Evas training goes well Daisy.

I am looking after GS2 (9 weeks old now) for a while today . It is my usual day to collect GD from school, and we are going to McDonald's for tea. She has only been once before and is very excited! We will go to the park first, and DD1 and GS1 plan to join us there for a while.

Enjoy your day with baby GS Gemini.

I am sure Eva will be a good girl Daisy

Very eager decorators Nana, hope they do a nice job for you.

Not a very good start weatherwise today, we had a thunderstorm at bedtime and some rain, it is very dull now.

Hope you're all enjoying your day. Oma I was wondering how you get on with your turf when the dog visits. Does he have a special area off it for the loo?

Amazing how the weather is different over the country. I heard there is flooding in London. Presuming they're flash floods.

He tends to do it in one place Nana and it's easier to clean off than grass if anything left behind I hose it down then squirt with disinfectant job done 😀

It cooled down a bit earlier when it clouded over, but the sun is back out now.Patio cleaned, grass strimmed and cut. Hubby done his annual treatment on his shed.

I've had a shower, hubby just having his.

Took the duvet off and put a thin bedspread on.Whats the betting it turns cold again.

Hubby kept complaining about the sunlight in the bedroom at early morning, so I have ordered some cream blackout curtains from Amazon. Should be here Friday.

Oh dear why are you screaming Mimi?

We have had, up to now, a very sultry sunny day, shouldn't be surprised if we have a storm later.
