Good afternoon all.
We have just had lunch, sat outside in the glorious sunshine. We had a light salad with a pasty, followed by local grown strawberries all washed down with a glass of wine.Added to this my medication I am taking to ward off the symptoms of hay fever I'm finding it hard to keep my eyes open
Hope everyone is having a lovely SundayBring me sunshine in your smile.

IT is beautiful here too but I am indoors, neighbour has decided he is going to hammer and bang something in his dad's garden (mum and dad downstairs, son and wife upstairs) I was out there for a while but if I had stayed I would have had a headache. Husband working. Feeling a bit lonely, might have a glass of wine while I get the veg ready for dinner - fizz time today to celebrate signing the kitchen contract. Doesn't take a lot to persuade me to open a bottle of fizz!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Have been out in garden in the beautiful sunshine!!!
Plant's garden mystery has moved to Cambridge. I planted some dahlias and thought they didn't look right when I was looking out of the window. OH was cutting grass and he found one had been dug up and dropped several yards away along the garden!! No signs of being dug up!!Obviously something didn't like the orange one!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Zizi - I think it's hard when your OH works at times when most people are not working, so no wonder you feel a bit lonely, especially when you can't even go out and enjoy the sunshine because of your pesky neighbours.
WeeGranny - I wonder what kind of creature takes against orange dahlias!
Oma - you must have jet-propelled brushes and rollers to get all that done so quickly. You definitely deserve to put your feet up and enjoy the rest of this beautiful day.
Mimi - I hope you treated yourself to a nana nap in the garden.
Nanto - hopefully none of that needs ironing.
It's a gorgeous day here, too. Our niece and her OH had been expecting a dull cool-ish day and cooked a wonderful pork shoulder casserole, but we sat in the garden for coffee before and after, and had a good chance to chat with both them and OH's sister and her OH. It's always good to see them - lots of laughter. Even the traffic was kind to us today - usually we face huge traffic jams around here at week-ends and all summer. But today it was amazing - straight through the worst place, and the M27 wasn't bad - in fact I found myself apologising to our niece for arriving early - I don't think I've ever had to say 'sorry for being early' before!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. What a lovely summers day
Guess what, we went to the launderetteThis time we found a really nice one with lovely staff. They even had a table and chairs outside, so we could sit in the sun while the machine went round. The mattress topper cover is now clean, fresh and fragrant in time for the cat sitter next weekend!
I washed our bedding ( at home, not in the launderette!) We had lunch in our garden, I visited my mum and took her a Magnum, then came back and sat in the garden with OH again. We have just had tea - lamb chops etc, and are making room for the rhubarb and strawberry crumble I made. A good day.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Sounds like we've all had a lovely day today. The sunshine makes all the difference. We met up at my brother's for a roast dinner & enjoyed every mouthful. Good company too."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Mimi - you're right - our Mods are wonderful ladies and we really appreciate all that they do to help keep GRU running smoothly. Thanks also to all of you who alert us to the bad guys.
Gem - did your OH enjoy your trip to the launderette?
It's a fabulous day here too. I think summer's finally here. I took Eva out for a walk round the block last night and when I got in I realised it was 9.45 - and still light. Wonderful
I'm off to collect GD2 from playgroup later this morning.
Have a good day everyone.
