I hate days like that, they seem to d-r-a-g- on forever. As soon as you turn your back the delivery man has arrived and if you don't answer the door within a nanosecond of him ringing your doorbell he has popped a 'sorry you were out when we called' card through the letter box and he is back in his van and off into the sunset.

        Hi everyone.
Yes Daisy I think OH did enjoy the launderette. We shall be making a return trip sometime with the duvet!

I agree Shem and Mimi, dare to do anything at all and the delivery men will be at your door- then gone!

I am writing this in my garden, in the lovely late afternoon sunshine

I took my auntie out for lunch today. We meet every 6 weeks. She is a lovely lady, with eyes just like my dads.I found that strange when dad first passed away, but now it makes me happy. I had 2 clients this afternoon, now for a bit of Me time in the garden!

Just back from having afternoon tea at a country park absolutely lovely sat outside in the sunshine with all the Deer strolling around us lots of baby rabbits too, Tea was first class the best we have had , got a bit of a headache with the sun now I'm not good in full sun but they brought out a big parasol so managed to get some shade , could have sat in the conservatory but was like a oven even with the fans going, if it wasn't so late in the day I would have had a Nana nap 😊

That sounds lovely Oma, apart from the headache of course!
I hope it goes away soon.

It has been a beautiful day, but I've only just got back from DS2's - both GDs have been lively this afternoon and I would like to just put my feet up and relax, but OH is hungry and isn't sure where the kitchen is. It will have to be something quick for tonight -too tired to spend ages in the kitchen..Enjoy your evening, ladies.

Good morning everyone. It's forecast a hot one, it's hot already!

I have an unexpected free day. I was to go to a meeting regarding my sister this afternoon, which was cancelled yesterday. As I collect my mum first, then travel to the meeting and back, it actually takes up a whole afternoon. So, I am free!
I need to go to the supermarket this morning, and have plenty of jobs I could do this afternoon. However, as it is forecast such a lovely day, I don't want to waste it! I think I will prepare the spare bedroom in readiness for our cat sitter coming on Sunday, and then relax in the garden

                    Have a good day everyone!

Good morning .Its very muggy here which isn't doing the old hay fever any favors at all.

I sent OH to the shop to buy supplies for our weekend away in Chester with SIL and BIL who knew that a few days way would call for so many things, pain killers, just in case, plasters, just in case, handy wipes, just in case, small packs of tissues, just in case, batteries for OH's camera( because he has refused to upgrade his camera to the type that has rechargeable batteries. ) The list goes on !
Our weekend away is a sort of joint celebration of our wedding anniversary's , ours on the 9th ( 42 years) their's on the 12th (40 years) .Its going to be hard but the weekend will consist mostly of strolling around the beautiful city of Chester with the odd drink and meal . ( Some one has to do it )

Very warm here, managed to get all my jobs done, so my time will be my own this afternoon.
Aggie, I heard there were some heavy thunderstorms yesterday, but not for us.

Scorcher here again like yesterday. Taking everything down from walls & organising stuff ready for decorators tomorrow. Might wait til it cools down first. Mimi you reminded me of our recent experience with rechargeable batteries. Put two batteries in charger. When I went back to it they'd leaked onto the wooden surface & badly marked it. Decided to check other batteries of things we'd not used for a while. Two other things had batteries that had leaked. One was my personal cd player. We check our batteries regularly now. Hope you all enjoy your anniversary celebrations. 💛

Just back from the funeral of the OH of a friend of mine. It wasn't local so we had quite a journey to get there, but friend's son had laid on a limo to take some of us there. Very pleasant driving through the countryside with someone else driving! It has been very muggy all day and I was glad to get home and get out of my 'posh' clothes....especially the heels!

Clouded over about 5.30, I thought we were in for downpour, but it held off.
