Hope the scans bring good news Oma.

    Beautiful weather today for us.
Been a busy day for visitors, first the eldest son came, then the youngest with his partner, then our nephews wife and her friend called. It was like Grand Central.

Well Dr's just been in he's getting a biopsy in the morning but his MRI and ultra sound won't happen till Monday or Tuesday next week , they going to reduce his steroids see what happens they can't even say if it's a lymphoma or not till that's done . I asked if we could at least take him in his wheelchair to the cafe and they said that was ok as long as we tell them so if a early slot arises they can phone and we can get him back to the ward . It's not ideal but it gets him out of the room for a while

Oma - how frustrating all this waiting is. Let's hope there is an earlier slot for the MRI and ultra sound. I'm sure it would cheer Brian up no end to get out a bit, even if it is only the hospital cafe. I hope you're taking care of yourself as well. Big hugs. xxx

Nanto - what a busy day! But lovely.

Plant and Nana - just think of the satisfaction when you've finished your projects. I can't sew and haven't got the patience but it must be fantastic to be able to create something beautiful and useful.

I had a lovely lunch with my ex-college friends. We put the world to rights (as always!), admired the view over the Solent and arranged to meet up again in about a month.

Nana - it's always non-stop chat when we meet up and I've got this theory that as teachers we never had time to talk to each other during the working day. Even though I've shared an office with both of them at different times we were always like ships passing in the night, so now we can talk for England we do!!! Today's topics covered everything from golf, the view (spectacular), theft, a friend who had sadly died, renting property, our aches and pains, husbands' choices of presents to us, people telling us we were no good at Maths when we were children, and, of course, our combined collection of 13 grandchildren.

Oma I hope Brian gets his scans done soon. At our hospital we have one scanner , which has to serve patients from the whole of our area , and over the border to parts of Wales. There is always a long wait to use it.
Our health services are struggling from under funding and I worry what it will be like for our GC in the future if indeed there is a health service left for them at all by then

You certainly had a variety of topics to talk about Daisy.

It's overcast this morning and feels a lot cooler.

It's a frosty morning here, good job I put my young plants back under cover yesterday.
Hope everyone is well. Not sure what the day has install for me yet, perhaps I will take a walk to the country side pool and see how the swans are getting along. I could take a flask of coffee and sit a while on the picnic benches and loose myself in my thoughts.

Good morning everyone. Mimi - that's a good plan. I think we need more time to pause and reflect - life is usually so busy though!

Today I've got GD2 from lunch-time when she finishes playgroup and GD1 after school. So I need to get a move on, get dressed, take Eva for a walk and get on with things. But I'll be mentally sharing Mimi's coffee in the fresh air.

Oma - hoping Brian has had a good night - and you are managing to get some sleep. xx

Morning ladies cold hear DD dropped the dog off at 8 he will be company for me , we have Virginia media digging up the path ways at the bottom of our street to put cables in , they are making there way up our end most likely next week now, but the mess is awful and they just patching where they have dug channels so going to look a right sight . Brian a lot happier he is on a ward he doesn't feel so isolated . We just want to know what's wrong if it is his lymphoma then at least we know but it's the uncertainty of it all but got to wait I suppose , have a good day whatever your doing ladies I'm going to slob out and do nothing 😊

                          Good morning everyone.
I'm in bed with a cuppa looking out at an overcast sky too Enfys. Pub lunch sounds good

Oma, you and that doggy have a relaxing day - as much as you can with Virgin Media in the vicinity!! I agree with you, not knowing is worse than knowing something 'bad', as you don't know what you are dealing with. News soon I hope xxx

This afternoon I am going with my mum to the hospital hearing clinic to get her new (and first) hearing aids. OH drops us off so I can take mum in, then comes back when I text her.

Wishing a good day for everyone.

I am suddenly excited about the baby coming! I have always been pleased for them, especially GD, the big sister, but my own excitement, after the iniitail pleasure at the news, didn't really kick in until now!

Pleased Brian is happier now he's on the ward. Not knowing what the problem is, is the worst part.
Will be keeping an eye out for any news later.
