Good morning everyone.
A dramatic start to my day, I was woken by an extremely loud bang. It turned out to be a house explosion a couple of streets away. I put a link on the News thread.
We really hope no one was injured, or worse. Our friends who live closer to that house, saw a flash. They dressed and ran round to see what it was and if they could help.
Oma, I'm glad you had a lovely evening, and they are both recovered to enjoy the food!
Have a great nigut tonight, Nan2

Nan2 enjoy your meal, what are you planning to have or will you make your mind up when you get there. When we are going for a meal OH always looks st menu on line , spends ages deciding what to have and then when we get to the restaurant he looks at the menu again changes his mind completely and spends another 20 mins or so choosing what to have , MEN !
Oma what a treat, all that lovely food and no need to pay, cant get any better than that can it ?
We had a phone call from SIL yesterday , OH's uncle passed away yesterday he was a lovely man he was in his 90s and up until a few months ago he would regularly have a browse on Facebook to see what was going on with the rest of the family..
There won't be a funeral as he is leaving his body to medical research so there is a plan to have a memorial service for him.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Afternoon everyone we have Josh coming soon for a sleepover forgot to say I text Brians nurse last night and she was fine , think she was more shocked and embarrassed that they had had a go at her in front of everyone in the waiting room ,but in fact it was them that should have been embarrassed in my opinion,

Hello everyone. I hope that you're all having a good day. All this talk about food's making me feel hungry. Went to see my eye consultant this morning & he says he's referring me to the hospital optician, as he feels glasses might improve my vision until the results of the electrodignostic's test. There's a 7mth backlog & my appointment for this is 31st March. Roll on. Hope I don't have to wear jam jar bottoms. I wonder how long I'll have to wait for that one?"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I'll say Oma. I feel really strange without them. I've worn glasses since I was 13yrs old. I couldn't wear them after my cataract operations so that was good news for me today. When you're used to wearing glasses you feel sort of 'undressed' without them."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Nana - I had the really silly reversal situation when I had my cataracts done. I'd been shortsighted, but could read close up better without my glasses, so I'd take them off to read. Then after the surgery my distance vision was great, but my close vision, although good wasn't perfect. So I'd put my (reading) glasses on for close up! For several weeks I kept getting confused about whether I was putting them on or taking them off!!
I'm sure glasses will help you while you're waiting for the test. Modern lenses are much thinner than they used to be, so I bet you'll be able to choose some stunning trendy frames.

Good morning, Nanto. I'm glad you had such a good evening.
It's dull and grey here this morning, but much milder. The garden thermometer read 9C a few minutes ago.
A busy day for me today, too, with looking after the GDs while their mum and dad do some shopping, and helping OH with a house he's decorating. I just hope Eva manages to keep her tail out of the paint pots!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Cold and windy here, ut it's quite bright.
Sorted through all my clothes yesterday, crikey some of them I would have to get down to about 5 stone to fit in them.
I have dress that I bought from Meadowhall when it first opened, and that's 26 years ago this year. It still has the shop tags on.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
