We're going to up DS1's tomorrow morning and coming back Sunday, so I've made the house presentable for my lovely dog-sitting friend. I did manage to sneak half an hour in my summer house though. It was really warm.

Very dull here. Kevin the decorator has just arrived to finish off, looks very nice. New shade purchased for the bathroom, very pleased.

Libra our little lad had DD up for a few nights but he's settled now just howls at 6 am now to be up

Went to bakers, newsagents, green grocers, charity shop then on to my storage unit to send some stuff to Kings Cross site for a student visit. back here to do that horrible "h" stuff. Going to make casserole for dinner tonight, other than that there is not a lot on the agenda ........

hello all. I have spent the afternoon surfing the net and buying C presents. Have ordered some presecco and strawberry lip balm ad "camping kits" for the dils. The camping kits have packets of shower gel and shampoo which have one application, a packet of matches, an anti bug candle, tissues and both wipes. They all like going camping so that will come in handy. Other than that I have bought for them: silk scarves, a bracelet, shimmering body gel, bath salts, a lovely leather notebook and pen.

today I bought for the children: personalised drinking bottles and sports bags. I already have slumber bags and pillows for them all and a beautiful dress for Sadie. I need to catch up on myself as I am a bit behind in the C present buying, I am usually almost done by now. Goodness knows what I am going to get for the husband or the boys come to that! I do need to sort out some stuff for the C Eve bags. I have badges, tree decs. Etc but I need PJs, DVDs, little bottles of wine (for Santa) and everything else is easy except I don't yet have the boxes.......

jUst about to make green tomato chutney and cannot find the sultanas, went to see if I had left them in the car. Oops I did buy them, no they were not in the car, there they were squashed in the road, must have dropped them when I bought the shopping in. Oh well I will have to make it tomorrow.

Window surveyor coming this week. Got two companies in, the first one quoted £1300 and with front door £1560. We got the quote that evening via email. The other one did the hard sell and when we asked if he wanted an email address he said no they would send the quote it by post. Well that was a week ago last Thursday and nothing. The first man asked if we were seeing the second (both Heathrow Airport Limited registered contractors) we said yes and he said we would see a big difference in the price. The second one has theirs made on Germany the first one makes them in England. I am guessing that when the second guy realised we were getting a quote from the first he decided it wasn't worth bothering with.

Husband is in the garden doing the last bits before winter, our garden bin collection for the year ends next Friday and doesn't start again until the spring. I have a white wash out, just about to do some hand washing. He wants to go out for lunch, I don't really but let's see what happens.
