    Hi everyone.
Odd day of sunshine and showers today!
I have been sorting some admin stuff out this morning (it saved me doing the planned ironing ) Off to the opticians soon to collect my new varifocals. Then to take mum shopping then back to hers, as usual on Thursday. Today DD1 and GS are meeting us for coffee. It is mums birthday on Saturday and DD will be away so wanted to see her Nanna today.
I hope all poorly people, poorly OHs and stressed or tired people feel much better soon!

Hope you soon feel better Plant! An extra large brandy might just help!

Torrential rain through night at DD's where we were GS and dog minding. Just after 6 there was aknock on the bedroom door and I sleepily said 'Come in', thinking it was GS only to have a cold wet nose stuck in my face! DD takes dog out at silly o'clock and he obviously knew it was time to go out!! I'm afraid I opened the back door and let him in the garden...don't do silly o'clock! We did take him for a walk later and he was attacked by one of the most badly behaved dogs I've ever met. His owner said Oh, she's got behavioural issues and I've got a trainer coming tomorrow!!!!Took me ages to stop shaking I can tell you! Wouldn't have been so bad but she kept letting the lead go loose( it was one of those extending ones) so the dog just kept coming after us. Feeling kn******* now,was going to have a Grannynap, but watched last night's Bake Off instead.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Plant, I do hope you're starting to feel a bit better now. I hope you didn't catch that horrible lurgy in Brum!

Wee Granny - what a horrible thing to happen. It's clearly the owner of that dog who has the behavioural problems. I think those extending leads are a nightmare - so many people don't seem to notice when they need reining in! I hope both you and the furry one have recovered. xx

It must have been upsetting when the dog was attacked.

Nanto I nope the appointment goes well.

Mimi - love the graphic. That's just how I feel sometimes when I'm trying to do something in a hurry.

I hope all the poorly people are on the mend today. It's a dry but slightly chilly start here, so I hope it warms up later.

Good luck with your hospital appointment Nanto, hope you actually have your appointment on time. Last time OH went the clinic was running almost an hour late.
He is up and about early this morning as he has to attend Birimingham hospital this morning for his usual 3 month appointment. This involves a 20 min bus ride to town, just over an hour on the train, a quick walk to the hospital ( the station is right next to the hospital) a usual hour sit and wait till he is called then about 2 mins with the doctor. Then he has to do the return journey which if he is very unlucky means getting caught up in the school rush at our end !

                            Good morning everyone.
A sunny windy day here. OH and I need to shop, and we may go somewhere for a ride and a walk this afternoon as we are both free. We planned this on Monday but it rained the whole day! Today we may be lucky and get out and blow some cobwebs away!
I'm glad Josh is feeling better Oma, have fun with the menagerie

Mimi that account of the time taken travelling waiting and actually seeing anyone is very true to our case for OHs appointments! Luckily we live 15 minutes drive from the hospital though, so we don't spend a lot of time traveling.

it is bright here today. Had to go to the high street this morning to get bread, visit Superdrug and go to the Apple shop. Apple Shop was because we have lost our internet connection and it was in the middle of a massive Apple update so it is just hanging. I wanted them to terminate the update for me as it was preventing me from using the chip I have in my hipad which is the only way I can pick up my work emails without the connection.

Well they couldn't stop it but said it was working on the chip. They say that there was a further update started yesterday which was waiting for an Internet connection and the original one probably worked on the chip ...... Or something like that ANYWAY I can at least use the chip now.

Sent husband to get the bread and went into Superdrug, silly me, left my purse at home so had to go and get his card, made a hairdressing appointment, he went to get some potatoes, bought rail tickets for tomorrow and home completely forgetting we were going to go to the unit and get the fold up bed but we aren't doing shopping first thing tomorrow so we will go then. Now got to catch up on my reporting, quite a busy week next week.

I went to a Macmillan coffee morning today, bought tomatoes and green beans, won a raffle prize. I also entered a competition a cake competition, the prize was a plate of cakes. I said I did not want the cakes but had a go. Guess who one the cakes, me of course, laughter all round. I was very good, put them in the family kitchen. Youngest GD was there with a friend and said thank you very much, job done
