Good morning all you early risers! Our planned day at the allotment has been sabotaged by an hour's rain this morning. The sun's just come out so I hope it will have dried up by this afternoon, although OH wanted to keep the afternoon free so he could be glued to the sport on tv! I shall have to start a charm offensive!

Morning friends my bad news over the w/e was our good friends Wendy and Ken lost their son on Saturday morning about 6 am he was going to a job in Nottingham making an early start, he was a plumber and had a successful business. it seems no one else was involved he may have fallen asleep at the wheel and he veered off the road and hit a parked truck in the lay by, my sis in law came to tell me as she has been friends longer than I and I have known them 35 yrs, what a shock it has been he was 50 and had a lovely little girl 13 yrs old Esme and a gorgeous wife, you must never get over something like this I havnt been to see them yet its a time for family grief,I will send a card and summon up the courage to see them maybe next week not looking forward to that so sadComment
