Poor J they feel so miserable when their poorly,and your D.I.L will appreciate you taking M off her hands for the day.I hope he improves quickly poor baby.It was sunny here briefly but clouding over now, I had a productive morning I decided to ring the pensions agency as I had heard nothing about my state pension Apparently they sent out paperwork 3rd March to our old address We have lived here almost 16 years!.Had a conversation with a very nice,helpful chap who went through the procedure.So pleasant to deal with someone who takes their time and was patient during the whole conversation. I did thank him for his courtesy & help,very refreshing. So that's all sorted,but thank goodness I don't have just that to exist on.How do people manage I don't know. Next month I go to the Civic Centre to get my bus pass,hubby said I'm now a true silver surfer. S.I.L has a birthday today,so a visit later is in order,I have made his favourite cake Coffee &Walnut. As of May 5th my work hours drop to 49 hours over 5 weeks, just in time to enjoy summer you may think.But I have volunteered or rather been coerced to cover cooking 4 days for 5 weeks whilst regular cook goes home to the Phillipines,I must be too gullible.

Hi Libra Gran, I can remember when I got my paperwork about my state pension, I did it over the phoneand the lady was very courteous and helpful.Hubby got the same treatment as well.
