Just spoken to the vet and she is at a loss to know what is wrong with our cat.
Her kidney and liver function are fine, she has slight raised white blood cells but she isn't too concerned about that.
We have a plan of action
1 Is to leave her at the vets for a few days to monitor her
2 Have her in for the day to have her on a drip to get some fluids into her
( The above is going to cost £200 + )
    OR
3 Keep her at home and see how she progresses for the next 24/48 hours. She has some medication to take that will hope stop her from feeling sick
We have gone for the number 3 option . Just hope we have made the right choice !

Plant well first I scratched it on a box and it made an enormous bruise which is ridiculous as it was only a bit of cardboard. Then Sunday I caught it in a different place on the same arm on the edge of one of the kitchen cupboards and it ripped a chunk out of my fore arm. It bled a lot and husband thought I should go to A&E as it is a deep hole. I thought it would be cleared by now.

The shoes are expensive but we buy them every year. Proper school shoes and a pair of plimsoles or trainers each. it is just something we have always done.

Mimi, it's a hard choice, but I think I would have done as you did. If no improvement after the time, you can always bite the bullet and pay the dosh. Come on kitty rally round

DD and baby were here for lunch, while dropping off GD. We are having a lazy afternoon. GD is keen to watch Bake Off tonight, so tea and bath can be out of the way before then, so we can be ready. OH will be back by then as she has just set off home.

Mimi - I think you made the right choice too. Our pets are much happier and more relaxed in their familiar surroundings and you will be keeping a close eye on the symptoms. How old is she (or he?)?

We have found a place to exercise Eva off lead safely and today she was drooling for England, but I just put it down to the heat and the fact that she doesn't know when to slow down.

Rained during the night, didn't have the storms during the night that were forecast, unless I've slept through them.
That would be unusual for me.

Sorry, ladies, but it's a beautiful morning here after overnight rain. What a pity we left the cushions out on the patio chairs last night!

Mini - I hope your little fur baby is feeling better today.

Zizi - have you been to A&E with your arm? It sounds very painful.

I've got most of the day to get back to normal after our long child-filled 2 weeks. I've got to go and collect DS2's dog in a while and take him back this evening - iIt's GD1's 6th birthday today and they are taking her out on a surprise outing. She was so excited yesterday I bet she was up at 5 o'clock, dressed and ready to go!

Sun just coming out, too hot for me yesterday and a very hot night.

Very annoyed with myself, I have lost my debit card, it is always in my purse, searched my purse and bag several times, I have cancelled it and checking my account, nothing has been taken out.

Plant - it's so annoying when that happens, but at least your account is safe. I bet you find it somewhere unexpected - a jacket pocket, or tucked into your glasses case.

                            Good morning everyone.
Overnight rain here and dull this morning.

Plant, whenever I have mislaid my card it has been when buying petrol. I have then found it in either a pocket of a jacket I was wearing, or even in the car!

Mimi, how is your little cat today?

GD is still here, and would like to stay again tonight As the family set off to France in the morning it's not feasible. We will be dropping here at her other grans later. OG is looking after both children this afternoon while DD goes into work.
Usual Thursday afternoon with mum for me.

                              Good morning all.
I think our cat is feeling better today. Hardly any drooling, just had an issue with it when I had to give her the medication via a syringe into her mouth.
She has eaten a little bit of breakfast and she is drinking a lot more than yesterday. Just now she jumped up on the sofa made a big fuss of me for about a minute and has now disappeared into the bedroom. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards.

                                Raining heavily now.
it doesn't matter who you talk to, everyone has a different forecast. Some say it will rain until after the weekend, some say the weekend will be good weather. Hubby says it depends which tv chanel they watch.
