Morning all. Our poor cat isn't well this morning.She is drooling like a big dog and she quite clearly isn't feeling well . Managed to get an appointment this morning with the vet. If only the NHS were as efficient as that !

Mimi - I hope it's nothing serious with your cat. Perhaps it's just the hot weather or a tummy upset.

Whenever I have to take dogs to the vets I always think it would be wonderful if the NHS could be as efficient. Blood tests are done straight away - and often you can get results straight away, or if it has to go off to a lab it's the next day, medication is dispensed at the time of the consultation and repeat prescriptions are filled within 24 hours.

General clearing up day for me

She is wandering around the flat leaving deposits of 'drool ' every where I have closed all the doors in the hope that I can contain it to one room. She clearly isn't happy, she keeps trying to hide. Her appointment is for 9.40 so not long to wait, we are setting off soon, lucky the vet is only a 5 min drive away but because of road works it's going to take a lot longer than that to get there.

Sunny day again. Today will be the last time I have GD for the day this school holidays, as they will be away on holiday next week. Then back to school, and Grandmas having the baby on Wednesday as well as collecting GD from school
Not sure what we will do today, but she wants to stay the night, which is always fine by me!

feeling rough this morning after a bad night, just couldn't sleep, managed a couple of hours from about 4 ish, so not so bright this morning . DH has gone to help,his friend with problems with his computer so am home alone. I think I will go for a short walk in a minute before it gets too hot, still working in getting my bp down.

Another er hot day forecast, so enjoy the sunshine while it lasts 😎

Just got back from the vets.
The vet couldn't find anything obvious with her, her gums and teeth are ok and she hasn't got a temperature but when she came to weigh her she has lost a lot of weight, considering she was only weighed at the end of June. She has been eating and drinking normally, well up to today that is, she has had nothing since yesterday evening. The vet has taken some bloods and we should get the results at lunch time . She thinks there may be an underlying problem.

Off up to town shortly to finalise the video I made in March. Took husband to local town this morning, got rail tickets for him to take children to Brighton SIXTY QUID???? AARRGGHHH.

managed to find time to do school shoe shopping prior to taking them to be station. Sadie of course had to have ones with bows on, she saw some with a diamanté crown on the strap but grandma vetoed them as not being suitable for school. She also wanted a particular trainer but they didn't have the colour in her size so she went for something altogether better for purpose (and £20 cheaper). Joe, who starts secondary school in September, chose some very grown up slip ons but declined the offer of trainers. So that was another £145 and I still have Ben to buy for! Don't know what time they will be back from Brighton. I need to make a cake when I get back from town as it was Sadie's birthday on the 12th and she was in Portugal visiting other grandparents. I have her presents here, we haven't told her about them as all she would want to do today is quiz grandad about what they are and want to come home and open them......,,,,

My arm is extremely painful and I might have to give in and go and see someone. It is still gunky and just not clearing up and it is now day four.

Hope everyone with appointments with doctors and hospital get on OK today.

Mimi missed the opts about the cat sorry. My old ginger Tom who was 23 when we lost him had that dribbling thing but that was his teeth and gums. He got very old, very quickly once they took his teeth and I must say I was worried about him. Another one of my cats had drooling and they found she had an infection in her saliva glands. Hope your baby recovers soon.

Mimi could be something and nothing , either way best have her checked out , bet you are landed with a nice bill even if they don't find anything wrong , let us know the results please .
My appointment went fine , a tiny spot on my right eye ball but I had the same a couple of years ago and it disappeared on its own , my feet were perfect pulse very strong , said they were the best softest feet they had seen in a long time , I do cream them and media ped them everyday so they should be . Made cakes with Josh when got back ,dog doesn't know where to put himself in this heat , My pupils are still so large from the drops i can't go in the sun I'm just blind when I do so just lazing around indoors 😊
