Daisy I hope the sun stayed and you got the gardening done.

We went for a lovely walk by the river this afternoon, then tea and scones in a cafe garden. It's been dull most of the day but warm. It was nice to be out

Sorry haven’t been on today it’s been a stressful day.
MIL went down for surgery at lunch time they did a partial hip replacement, gave her a epidural and sedative because with her COPD it was dangerous putting her under.
We are just back she’s stable but her oxygen levels are up and down. She slept all the time we were there and was shivering but that’s just the shock , She had had a cup of tea and some soup , hopefully by tomorrow she will be more awake .
We are all shattered no sleep and the worry so an early night for us I think .

Good (early) morning, I woke far too early, never mind, I had a good sleep.

It was warm again yesterday, I was sat here and decided to do the back windows etc to occupy me! Then, after tea I decided to paint 2 plant pots that stand near the front door, that is all done and clean now.

Oma, your poor MIL, I do hope she recovers, it will be a difficult time for you all.xxx

GD1 arrived home yesterday afternoon, as DS1 put it "tanned and tired"! They all really enjoyed their holiday, I will hear more when I see her.

I want to get my car cleaned this morning then go and hoover it out one day through the week, the cleaning station will be very busy this morning with everyone returning from their holidays.

Good morning Lizzie and all who follow.

Don't know about where you are Lizzie, but its darker now on a morning when we get up.

Oma, I suspected MIL had broken her hip. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.

I took a lamb fillet out of the freezer last night, but its still frozen, so I think I'll leave it in the fridge until tomorrow.
I'll do chip's,beans and egg today. That will suit Hubby.

He's gone with his brother to a car boot sale.

                  Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Oma, thinking of you all and your MIL. I know she isn't always the easiest but it must be hard knowing that she's going through such an awful time. Big hugs to you and B. I'm sure GS will cheer you both up a bit. xx

Lizzie, you are very good at getting on with jobs that need doing. I hope it doesn't get too warm for you and you can do what you've planned today.

Nanto, the lamb will be just as good tomorrow. I wonder what your OH will find at the car boot sale today.

I was up early to get some paper work done. There is a footpath through our estate which someone is trying to get revoked so he can use it for vehicle access. Everyone's up in arms about it and I spent quite a while this morning doing my objection to it. He bought the house knowing full well there was a public right of way so everyone's very indignant about it. In a minute we're goiing to take Eva to the paddock, before it gets too warm for her. I'll pop back later.

                    Good morning everyone.
A later good morning from me as we have been to the local car boot sale! We had a good look round and a cuppa and sausage sandwich . I spent quite a lot of time talking to the lady on the cat rescue stall

Oma, my mum was 91, was tiny and frail and they had trouble bringing her round from the anesthetic after her partial hip replacement. She was back in the care home after a week and lived over 2 years more. I think that generation are tough. Take it easy today, seeing GS will do you both good.

Daisy, yesterday I was telling OH you should bring your caravan to where we went for our riverside walk, there is a site there. Just outside York, on the river and dog friendly pub along the road

We are going out for lunch today. On Friday my friend was telling me this place does fantastic Sunday roasts. It's only a 15 minute drive ,so we are booked in for 1.15. This will be my 3rd lunch out this week and probably my last for some time!

Gemini, we shall have to call you the Lady Who Lunches. I get the impression that you are thinking of having another cat or two. I would love a cat now but the last one got run over, he was a bit of a hunter. I need a quiet friendly cat who will not stray far.

Oma, I hope there is some improvement in your MIL’s health today. I wonder what her chances are of returning to her own home. Enjoy lunch with your GS.

Daisy, Does your neighbour need vehicle access? I hope he isn’t successful in getting it changed.

Daisy, hubby bought a new file at the car boot, because he NEEDED a new one.
Hope you and the neighbours win over the right of way.

                          Oma, how is MIL.

Nanto, of course your hubby NEEDED a new file. He wouldn't have considered getting it otherwise (he sounds so much like my OH!).

Gem, you have certainly had a good run of lovely lunches, etc. I hope the next one isn't too long to wait. How exciting thinking about getting new cats or kittens soon.

Plant, the owner of the house who's applying to get a footpath closed has a house which opens directly on to the Forest. He has vehicle access along the right of way to get to his back garden and garage, but persistently parks up to 3 vehicles on the footpath. He knew full well the restrictions in the deeds to the house when he bought it but has deliberately ignored them and has even moved the position of the house's front door so it opens on to this right of way and now says it breaches his privacy having people walking past! There are all sorts of other issues surrounding this and so far there have been about 150 objections! I use this footpath frequently as it's a good route onto the Forest. Everyone is furious!

Oma, how is your MIL/. Did you have the lamb today? At least you don't have to hide that under the potatoes.

Eva enjoyed her run in the paddock this morning. It suddenly started to get much warmer so we were glad we'd taken her squeaky ball which she will carry round for a while and then roll on it till she "kills" the squeak.

We got the caravan awning out today and dried it off properly before putting it away again. We'll have to start planning our next trip and were saying it would be good to have two weeks away this time.

Good morning. Sunny just now, but just seen on the local weather on TV there could be some showers today.

                              Doing the lamb dinner today.

No plans today, will see how the day pans out.

Thinking of Oma and wondering how her MIL is

Definitely time to plan the next holiday Daisy.

GS2 day today. It's my aquafit morning but OH will be here for GS when I'm away. Not sure if we will go out or stay in. He's just back from holiday so may want a lazy day. He is staying overnight.

I hope today is the start of a good week for everyone.
