Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's a bit breezy this morning, but we've got friends coming for coffee in a few minutes and we're hoping to sit out in the garden.

I'll pop back later, but Gem, I hope GS1 changes his mind - once he gets there I'm sure he'll enjoy it. xx

Daisy, pleased to hear you have booked your holiday. Only spent a short time in Chester.

Oma, I drove to the nursery and found it was shut on Mondays, so many places shut on a Monday around here. Delivered the fruit pie to GS, passed WG house on the way home.

Gemini, difficult for you to plan anything for GS1, he is growing up and has his own ideas how to spend the day. Unless you are planning something like the theatre or cinema he seems to prefers to stay at home. Not easy.

Oma, choosing colours is a nightmare for me, not good at making my mind up. Any news of Mil?

Nanto, It has become the story of the file, keep a look out to see if OH uses it sometime. I seem to have accumulated a lot of veg. So must use some with the sausages I have planned to cook.

Plant, you have described GS1's attitude precisely! He would have enjoyed the library if he had come I'm sure, its getting him there.

I hope you don't all get blown away in the garden Daisy!

GS2 didn't help at the library which was fine, he's only 8. He read most of the time he was there, and borrowed 2 books on my card. He was also treated to double choc muffin in the cafe there by Grandma Daddy collected him around 11.45.
I am home and having my lunch. DD knows I'm here so presumably GS1 will arrive at some point?!

Good afternoon, sorry it’s been a while, still, having iPad issues. Nice to get the newsletter, Gem. Everything much the same here, P’s 4 year anniversary, can’t believe it’s been that long. Still struggling at times. Ut I guess that’s not unusual. Have been keeping busy with my craft groups which has been good. Also looking forward to a family holiday in Devon next month, will be nice to be with the family as I do get fed up with my own company!

Hope everyone is well, and have been thinking of Daisy and her family. Also I hope Sum1 is making good progress, so sorry to hear about her accident.

I must go back and try and catch up with all the goings on 🙂

            Lovely to see you Enfys

No GS1 today. DD was working from home anyway so he just stayed put.
OH did very well in her golf today.

Weather was lovely today, sunny but breezy. Dried the washing in no time.
Just had a very heavy shower now.

Gem, glad OH did well with her golfing today.

              Enfys,it doesn't seem like 4 years.

Enfys, I'm sure it must often feel like yesterday when you lost P, but in other ways it must seem like forever. Sending you big hugs. I know I've mentioned it before, but events have rather taken over my life these last few months, but it would be lovely to meet up for lunch or even a coffee when we can. Once we get back from holiday in late September perhaps we can get together then. I hope you have a really lovely break in Devon with your family. It's good to have a change of scenery as well as spending time together. Are you going to your usual place?

Thank you for thinking of me. We're trying to get back to some sort of normality, and it was good to take our GDs away for a week - even if it was only to Wareham. They're great company and kept us well entertained, bless them.

We were able to have coffee in the garden, and had just finished when it rained. But it wasn't much and I left the washing on the line as it was still wet anyway. OH and our next door neighbour went out for a ride in the kit car this afternoon. It seems to be running well, although there are still a few jobs to do - like putting the windows in. It also seems to be quite a thirsty beast!

Gem, well done to OH. Did she win a prize/trophy? What a pity GS1 didn't go to the library, but at least with DD working from home he was able to stay there.

Nanto, glad your washing dried ok. Our did eventually as it's been quite breezy.

I was going to do some painting this afternoon, but ended up getting distracted by doing some piano practice and trying to learn a new piece. I didn't notice how the time had sped by.

Plant, I've noticed that quite a few places round here seem to close on a Monday, but for small shops etc I suppose it gives them a two-day break. My DS2 and DIL don't open their shop on a Saturday because they want to spend the time with their daughters.

Good morning. Feels chilly, but its bright.

No plans for today, but that could change.

                  Oma, how is MIL.

Yesterday I tidied the big freezer. I've got one drawer that is almost empty, so I'm hoping to use it for homemade winter meals.

We didn't have baby potatoes yesterday, we had mash, so I'll do them today with bacon, probably do some cabbage and carrots with it.

                    Good morning everyone.

Daisy, to be distracted by playing the piano would be as good as painting I imagine. Will you take your paints when you go away in the caravan?

Aqua this morning and maybe a quick coffee. I have my monthly back massage at 1.30.

                      Morning everyone

Its a bit chilly this morning,
Not much planned need to go to Lidl but I feel tired today so im on a go slow.
Housework done and I thought a nice shower would revive me but it hasn’t ,
                      just one of those days.

                      Daisy
I bet you enjoyed your piano practice though , something different from mundane stuff 😁

                      Gem
GS is getting to a age where he doesn’t want to be looked after ,
But he’s still a little young to be left on his own isn’t he , before you know it he will be all grown up sadly🥲

                      Enfys
Lovely to hear from you , Im glad your crafting is keeping you busy.

I wonder how Clover is , is she still away visiting family ?

MIL managed to walk from one side of the bed to the other but then it was too painful, all she wants to do is sleep at the moment .
but so far she’s ok .

Oma, sleep is healing so probably the best thing for your MIL at the moment.

I think Clover may be in Edinburgh?

Daisy, does playing your piano help the sadness you must feel.

Oma, well done to your Mil for managing a short walk, sleep is a great healer.

Enfys, pleased you are finding craft is keeping you busy, it is relaxing too. You are beating me at WORD too often.

Gemini, Aqua and massage today, very relaxing.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It seems to be sunshine and cloud at the moment. Just going to hang some washing out, so I hope it stays dry.

Nanto, you're going to be busy cooking to fill that empty drawer. Still you'll reap the benefit on cold miserable winter days when you don't feel like doing much.

Gem, what a lovely day - aqua and a massage. Relax and enjoy. Yes, I shall definitely take my paints on holiday. We want some days of total relaxation, so reading and painting will be perfect.

Oma, did you have a bad night that's left you feeling tired? Also all the anxiety drains your energy as well, but it's good to hear your MIL has walked a little and is sleeping well. I think any kind of surgery leaves you feeling exhausted for days (or weeks).

Plant, I'm a very rusty pianist, so when I start a new piece I have to concentrate very hard and work on a few bars at a time. So, yes, I do lose myself in it. Luckily I have headphones so OH doesn't have to listen to the excruciating wrong notes!

No particular plans for today, but DIL1 is coming for lunch and dinner tomorrow so I might do a bit of baking.

Just back from my knitting group. We had a new lady start today, she came with her friend but I think she must have early dementia as she was very forgetful and her friend wrote things down for her in a notebook as a re,inder. But she enjoyed herself and was very grateful for the company so I hope we all helped in some way.

Daisy, I learnt the piano when I was a child and am completely rusty now, I do wish I’d kept up with it. Yes, it would be nice to meet up sometime.

ar mt recent BP check up at the doctors the nurse noticed that I had lost weight since my last visit. I know my appetite is terrible and I can exist on very little if I don’t feel like eating. But have been told to try and increase my calorie intake which I am finding quite hard, Any one else had a similar issue?

weather lovely today, not too hot and a nIce breeze so I enjoyed my walk to and from the cafe this morning. Have a good day everyone. 🌞

Enfys my mum was often told she needed to put weight on. She ate lots of cakes etc,but her meals were tiny.
If you like cheese adding that to meals is a good way to boost calories. Most dishes taste better with some cheese!

I'm sure your DIL will enjoy visiting you Daisy .

I hope you are resting Oma.

I have done my aquafit class, had coffee with my friends, showered and had lunch and now I'm going for my massage.
                                Talk to you all later
