Going to get a load of towels washed.
Hoping to get the grass cut as well.

Took a pork fillet out of the freezer last night.
Going to get that in the slow cooker. Having roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, veg and gravy with it.

No other plans as yet for today.

We had a great day yesterday, with sunshine, forest activities and evening BBQ and birthday cake
Homeward bound today, and a Tesco delivery between 6 and 7.
I will write about our weekend in more detail on that thread once we are home.

Second load of washing in , housework done and hoovered through.
Not much planned just pop to shops need Cabbage , I have other veg in but forgot the cabbage.

Had a lovely day with DS and Dil yesterday, watched the Rugby with DS and then had a lovely dinner, DS had made 3 curries, had a taxi home. No plans today, sun shining atm.

I wonder what Dr. Mosley died of.

Good last family breakfast at the house, then DD, SIL and GS3, OH and I went to Sherwood Forest for a walk, and to see the very old tree. We had lunch at the cafe there before coming home in our separate cars. The others left after the 11am checkout.
A lovely weekend, which I will write a report on

I didn't get the grass cut yesterday because it kept showering. Got the washing in quickly , but it was dry.

We off to opticians to choose new glasses for B , he had his eyes tested yesterday and this new scan thing Specsavers do.
Flagged up a wrinkling at the back of his eys one more than the other , basically age related but are referring him to the eye infirmary for them to look at ,
Said his cataracts are not to significant at the moment so no need to worry about them.

He has complex lenses so glasses are not cheap but when you need them and your eyesight depends on them then you have to pay don’t you.
He asked about contact lenses but because of the shape of one eye and all the rest they said they don’t recommend them.

Secretly I’m pleased, l like him in glasses ,when he takes them off he looks like his Mother 🤣

Oma, can’t have B looking like his mother. Mine are just varifocals.

I have to go to the local hospital to pick up some tablets some time today. Might call into M&S Foodhall for a few bits.

Gemini your holiday place looked great for a family gathering.

Its raining again
We went to opticians and while B was in there I went to Bon March ,
Bought two pair of lovely high waisted trousers a lovely fit plus with B’s forces discount card I got 25% off so a bargain.

Just spoke to my niece she is coming home sometime today ,
Has to have oxygen still but at least she will be more comfortable at home .
The respiratory Dr has signed her off just need the surgeon to come round after 11 to do the same.

Has appointments twice a week for the near future but they hoping she will get stronger each day as long as she doesn’t push herself too much.

Considering this time two weeks ago she was in a coma on a ventilator we are thrilled .

Busy day here, been to aquafit, getting ready for what was to have been an afternoon tea garden party , but will now be indoors!

Oma, that is amazing that your niece is coming home today, she will probably be more comfortable and happier at home.

And she will be safer, hospitals these days are none to clean for my liking ,
She was well looked after but wards are not cleaned the same as they were when cleaners could use bleach and there was matrons to check .
Mind you ICU was immaculate , so at least they are clean where needed.

She came home by Ambulance
now in and settled her Mam my SIL is staying tonight but she then wants to get on with things at her own pace .

Its pitch black hear and the rain is lashing down, I put the heating on for a while .
