We did a bit of shopping in Wakefield.
I bought a new skirt.Wasn't looking for one,but i saw it in a shop window as we were passing.
Went inside and they had it in my size,so there you go.

Turned into a decent day weatherwise.

Morning all.Do you think it will ever get any warmer. The weather looks lovely from inside but once you step outside… by heck the wind is very chilly. I’ve still got my winter layers on . OH says I’m cold because I’m getting old , the cheek of the man !

Enfrys so sorry to hear about your health worries, hopefully your meds will help you feel better soon.

Didn’t do much yesterday as I had a dreadful night . Woke with cramp in my leg , struggled to get out of bed but became feeling faint and nauseous. It took about 10 mins to try and stop fainting. I was hot for a while but for a few hours after I was shrivelling and couldn’t get warm . I have had this reaction when my back has been bad . It’s shock I suppose. It seems to happen more often now that I take blood pressure medication. Anyway spent most my yesterday feeling exhausted, hopefully today will be a far better day .

On Wednesday we had to have a small patch on mould removed from our bathroom wall . There wasn’t much there but I am well aware of the dangers that mould can be health wise after eldest DS’s health scare last year. Its left him with having to use an inhaler. That’s now all three of our grown up children with asthma.
Anyway we’ve been told that this mould issue isn’t our fault, it’s from the cavity wall insulation that
the government has urged homeowners and landlords to do in an effort to retain heat and lower heating bills but now some buildings are so well insulated that they can’t‘breathe’ We can’t win can we ?


Was so sad to read our latest email. My thoughts are with Daisy at this present time

How is everyone's garden looking
Surprisingly considering the cold windy weather,our outdoor tomatoes have gone completely bonkers , we have more tomatoes than we can shake a stick at . Obviously they are small and green at the moment and being tumbling tomatoes I don’t need to take any side shoots off . Also we’ve had our first small picking of our strawberries. But on a down side I am in constant battle with the slugs on my dahlias and they’ve eaten nearly all the dwarf sunflowers. .

Fingers crossed for a warmer sunny day today.

Hubby and his brother have gone to a car boot sale.
No plans for me. Just the usual kind of day.

I sometimes feel so dizzy when I get up apparently your blood pressure drops when you sit up from a lying position, not a nice feeling is it x

We had all our walls filled a couple of years ago , it did nothing to keeping our downstairs loo warm ,
In the winter you could keep your frozen food in there and it wouldn’t thaw

Its lovely and sunny but still a bit cold in the shade here.
Dog coming to stay this afternoon till tomorrow night.
DD and SIL travelling to Inverness for his grandmothers funeral.
They decided to go by train as it’s a very long drive .

Golf for OH this morning, I have nothing planned. I should wrap up warmly and sit in the garden a bit , I think, it may do my cold good.
I enjoyed the meal last night and was glad we went out. My appetite is fine but I still feel generally under the weather. Throat slightly better but still very croaky, many tissues being used!

Gem, I didn’t know you were feeling groggy, hope you feel better soon. We didn’t get sunshine yesterday although it is sunny this morning.

No plans, hope to get in the sun room. GD didn’t feel well enough to clean for me this week so I might give the floors a vacuum. I could also find some jobs to do in the garden. House full next door again yesterday. Hairdresser came and cut 4 peoples hair, H loves having her hair cut, she sits very still.

Oma, enjoy your time with Storm, no doubt he will be spoilt.

I have had a very sad visit from DD and SIL3 and baby.

I was in the garden and DD phoned me. Normally I would have been delighted to see them. However the reason was they were on the way to the vet with their cat and she suddenly died.
There weren't far from here so came round. SIL put her in her carry case in our garage. I told them our cats has all rested there in the cool before they were buried, and it was so hot in the car.
They stayed an hour or so and have gone home, to bury her.

She was a healthy well cared for cat, fine this morning, then came in ill. They got an emergency vet appointment,but she was sick and made a lot of noise on the way, then was still. We wonder if she was poisoned

Lovely day here today and I’ve actually managed to sit outside for a while this morning. It’s really hot out there at the moment. So I’m indoors for a bit. I never know what to d with myself on a Sunday so have had a lazy day with my library book, it is a day of rest after all 😀

Gem, the poor cat and your DD, I wonder what happened?

DS1 has just been for coffee, I have been having idea's for ages now to decorate part of the wall behind one of the spare beds, I did it when the first lock down was on, I never really liked the wallpaper, I have been looking a while and found one I like, I asked DS1 what he though of it, he said it was perfect for what I want it for, I have ordered it, I could pick it up in Rotterdam but would cost me more than the postage! Then I want to do the wall opposite green I think, I will wait until the wallpaper is here to see what colour I fancy.

It was very hot in our garden but it’s clouded over and a bit nippy now .
