Oh Plant, how scary so pleased H is ok.

Gem, hope you and GS enjoyed your tea out.

Not been a bad day here today weatherwise. I did a load of dark washing, and got them out on the line.
They just needed airing off when i brought them in.
I've started rearranging the stuff in the new freezer. Done 2 drawers, another 5 to go.

Friends rang earlier and said they both felt slightly better.
They both had some of the cottage pie i sent and have enough for another day.
I think they will have some of the chicken casserole tomorrow. They should have enough for another meal.

Plant, what an awful shock for your GD. I think it's quite likely that little H will take it in her stride - I hope she does.

Nanto, I bet your friends really appreciated their tasty shepherd's pie dinner. It's surprising how long it takes to arrange things in a new freezer or fridge. I'm still shuffling things round in the fridge and last week restacked two drawers in the freezer.

Mimi, you recovered from that lurgy just in time! I'm sure such a good evening out helped keep your recovery on track as well. I shall definitely look out for The Crooners after such good reviews on here. It was almost Spring-like today, wasn't it. I managed a bit of gardening as well - and cut the lawn.

Gem, the treatment you have had today sounds very therapeutic. I do hope you feel better for it. Wasn't there a recent Dragon's Den pitch about the ear seeds, which all the Dragons wanted to invest in. It will be interesting to see how you find them. I'm sure GS had a wonderful time at the designer outlet.

I need to get into training! I trimmed the edges of the lawn after lunch and then cut it. It's so long since I was able to do it that a machete would have been better than our little mower, but what was worse - I felt shattered afterwards. I need more practice after the winter. Still, I took Eva for a walk. She saw her new friend in the distance, but the humans had family with them so we didn't stop and socialise. Eva was consoled by a nice crunchy treat!

I really didn't feel like cooking when I got back from our walk, so we had smoked mackerel fillets with a salad.

        Good morning.

I think today is supposed to be like yesterday weather wise, so it should be a decent day.

We are going to the farm shop and then onto the garden centre.
I need a few birthday cards for this month.
Sometimes you can get something a bit different.
We will eat at the garden centre.
Hoping to get a couple more drawers done in the freezer before we go out.

Daisy, what a shame Eva couldn't say hello to her new friend.

            Good morning everyone.

That sounds a nice trip out Nan2.

Daisy and Oma, we have 2 freezers, one in the kitchen and one in the garage and are always juggling things about and looking in the wrong freezer!

Plant I hope little H, and her mummy are OK. Many years ago when I was a playgroup supervisor this happened to one of the playgroup mums. Her 3 year old fell into the river when feeding ducks. There was a baby in a buggy too who had to be temporarily abandoned for the mum to jump in and and save the little girl. All was fine but mum and little girl were very upset. Mum for longer than the child I remember.

GS2 chose Wagamamas for tea last night. I had starter and an iced peach tea. I met a friend with her little boy in the play area. We hadn't seen each other for a long time so it was nice to have a catch up. They have a 4 year old little boy who they adopted just before he was 2. We had never met him, although seen photos, so it was nice to meet him.

No plans today. We had talked about seeing DD and SIL3 and baby, but the baby had a temperature in the night so I think they will stay at home. We are going to Liverpool tomorrow so will pack today. Only one night so that won't take long.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. It's dull and damp here and it rained overnight, so I was lucky to get the lawn cut yesterday.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to the garden centre. Our local garden centre has some lovely unusual cards, so I try and think ahead when I'm there.

Oma, I think chips can iprove most meals, so can understand B wanting them on a salad.

Gem, how lovely to meet up with a friend yesterday and to meet her little boy. I'm sure GS2 enjoyed both his play time and his tea. What are your plans for Liverpool? I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find my way round there now - it's changed so much.

We're having a slow start today - neither of us woke up until 9 o'clock! Luckily we haven't got any firm plans for the day.

We'll be playing freezer jengo today - the dog food order is due. But we have found the new upright freezer in the kitchen works better than the two small ones. I keep the dog's meat stacked up against one side of the chest freezer in the garage, but things like bones, sprats etc get dumped in the middle, depending on the size and shape of the bags. When I've portioned food up for her it goes into its own draw in the kitchen freezer. We keep opened veggies, chips and ice cream in the kitchen freezer as well so I don't have to keep trotting out to the garage for a handful of peas or whatever! Re-reading that, I realise what an exciting life I lead! I don't know how I cope!

Daisy, that is my method too! Veg, ice cream, lollies etc. plus croissants inside. Meat , fish, what I think of as meal ingredients outside. OH keeps messing up my system though!

OH said I keep moaning that she never organises anything, and that her reason for not having cats was so we could go away more, but we don't ( as if I would do that!) Hence she saw some offer on a Liverpool hotel and booked it! We would usually stay in a Premier Inn. I'm not sure where we are staying in fact. We have booked on the Beatles museum tour on the Monday. OH did that years ago and I never have. We only have one night so we won't be doing much.

Haven’t spoken to GD1 this morning wondering if she was okay, I doubt she slept well. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her and H today as her sister arrived yesterday evening.

Gemini, never been to Wagamamas, sounds good for the young mums. We find that most places like that only do fish fingers and chips for little ones. So sorry to hear the baby has a high temperature.

Oma, I am like B, I need something on the plate besides salad.

Daisy, I had a sort out with the freezers yesterday, moved stuff from the one in the kitchen to the one in the garage.

Nanto, I need a trip to a garden centre to buy some bark. I hope you find some nice cards. Love your graphic

Plant, I like a few chips with the salad too

Baby is cooler today but runny nose and off his food so not right.
GS2 is au fait with Wagamammas as he goes with his family
He knew exactly what to order! 'Chili squid with no chilli, then from the Kids menu cod bites ( no curry sauce) with rice and veg' and a glass of milk. I was very proud of him ordering for himself

It's sunny here. We have changed the bed and I did a little dusting

Hope GD and H are ok.

Gem, i applaud GS for eating squid, i couldn't eat it.
                        Hope baby is better soon.

Just 3 more drawers to do in the new freezer. Will probably tackle those in the morning.

Nan2, I don't like squid. It's the texture. I decided I should be brave and have little bit of GS's yesterday. It's in a light golden batter and wasn't too bad actually. He loved it!

Hallo everyone, I wasn't my usual self yesterday, stomach ache and headache, I have slept a lot and do feel better this afternoon. DS1 phoned on his way home from Schiphol, he told me to get to bed, I told him I was there.

Plant, it must have been such a fright for your GD, we have so much water here, it is difficult to avoid it all.

Gem, your GS did well ordering his meal, I don't think I would have ordered the squid though!

I have just done a complete meal in my Ninja air frier! Very tasty it was as well.
