      Good morning.

      Plant, yesterday's lunch sounded good.
      Hope H settles soon.

Daisy, good to hear the new fridge freezer is up and running.
Sorry to hear the sink is acting up.
The grill steaks were OK. Wouldn't go mad over them, but handy to keep in,something quick to put in the air fryer.

Oma, the gingerbread house looks lovely.
What a difference in the price.

What a day we had yesterday with visitors.
I'm glad I'd got all my jobs done.
.Sis in law and hubb came, they stayed for about 3 hours. While they were here bro in law from the bungalow came and stayed for an hour.
Just after they had all gone, friends were passing, so they decided to pop in for half an hour and stayed for 2 hours.
Good job we had plenty of cakes and biscuits in.
      Expecting a quieter day today.
Hubby out for a couple of hours with his pal this morning.
Dinner today is chicken stew. I think I'll serve it with dumplings.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

        Good morning everyone.

What a busy house you had yesterday Nan2!

Plant a house move is confusing for little ones but they do quickly adapt .

I hope you can sort that blockage out Daisy

I am going to the library this morning. They are are having heating problems which are being fixed today. They are open but the librarian said she'd understand if I want to delay my return to next week as it's very cold. I have reserved toys for GS3 to collect so I said I would go in this morning for those (warmly dressed) and play it by ear.

I hope everyone is well and keeping warm.

I seem to have picked up a sore throat from somewhere so not feeling great. I wanted to plant up the pansies etc as it was going to be fine but I don’t think that is a good idea. GD just FaceTimed me, seemed quite cheerful.

Nanto, what a lot of visitors, I expect the kettle was on and off. Your friends and family know the tea pot will be filled at your house.

Gemini, what a shame about the library heating the day you wanted to go back there for the first time since your op. Wrap up warm.

            Morning everyone

Oh my goodness it’s bitter cold ,

            Gem
don’t stay too long if it’s very cold at this stage your knee will feel the cold and damp easily and start to ache.

            Daisy
Always the same fix one thing and another causes problems ,
At least the Fridge and Freezer are up and going

            Nanto
Its all or nothing isn’t it ,you don’t see anyone for days then they all turn up on the same day.
You will have to replenish your Biscuit and cake tins 😁

            Plant
Stay indoors if your not feeling 100%
Its very cold , not a day for planting xxxx

Had a really bad night last night went to bed at 11 was up again by 11.45 came down watched telly then about 3 tried the spare bed no luck so came back down went up at 5 again went to bathroom walked in to a flood ,
The radiator was pouring out .
Luckily it’s a wet room and the water was running down the centre drain.

Wasn't going to wake B as he doesn’t sleep long anyway so I knew he would wake soon , but he heard me getting the mop out of the cupboard ,the door makes a clicking sound and I tried to open it quietly .

He got up and got some spanner’s he thinks it was just the valve had loosened due to the water pressure when the heating is on ,
will check on it later see if it’s ok , It was fine when I was in there getting washed so fingers crossed it’s fixed
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. The sun is shining, but it's cold with it.

Nanto, I often say our feels like living on Crewe station some days, and I think yours is the same. But it's great to see people and you don't have chance to get bored, do you! But sometimes you do need a bit of peace to catch up with jobs and even sit down and relax for a while.

Plant, I do hope you're not starting with one of the nasty bugs that are going round. Try and rest and keep warm - definitely not the time to be outside gardening.

Gem, what a nuisance about the heating at the library, but it was kind of the Librarian to warn you in advance. Good advice from Oma, as always. xx

Oma, you couldn't have had a worse night! But if you are going to get a burst radiator the wet room is the place for it. I hope it was just a loose valve and easily fixed with a trusty spanner. Did B get back to sleep afterwards? Is his head ok now where he bashed it?

We still have a blocked pipe from the sink. Our next remedy is Oma's trusty soda and white vinegar. I remember Lizzie saying a while ago that they can get 'industrial' white vinegar, and I found out from a neighbour this morning that we can get it in our local ironmongers. Our local ironmongers is a legend in this area - they stock just about everything. We're lucky we've got a Belfast sink in the utility room, but we missed using the dishwasher last night! We had a Sainsbury's delivery this morning so I've been playing fridge-jengo trying to decide where to put what. We'll also have to persuade Eva she needs a new place to plonk herself in the kitchen. The fridge door opens the other way to the old one - much more sensible actually, but Eva's favourite spot means we can't open it without her moving. I'm also still standing on the wrong side wondering where the handle is! It's funny how you do things automatically - until something changes and you keep forgetting.

I need to go to the garden centre today - we've run out of fleece for tender plants and I'm worried the ones in the summerhouse aren't very well-protected. I need a few other things, like bird seed, and while I'm there I'll get some pansies. It's lovely to have some colour in the winter.

Pansies heather and ivy planted. Still some to be planted in the back. It was so lovely and sunny in the courtyard I couldn’t resist it. Lunch now and rest. I was visited by a robin, they were convinced I had a worm or two for them.

Hallo everyone, sorry for not posting, so busy with the stupid votes etc, nasty letters getting people not to change their votes etc!

Yesterday very busy with aqua etc then DS2 and partner came for a meal.

I have just had a quick glance at the posts, it is very cold here today but at least it is dry!

I have treated myself to a Ninya multi cooker from the black Friday offers! DS1 and DIL bought one when they were in the UK. I have been deciding every since, I managed to order it yesterday, luckily, as they are £100 more today Is it a Ninya that you have Oma?

Sorry Lizzie I didn't mean to nag you to post! I was just checking you were OK. It's such a busy time, not everyone can get here every day.

Well done on the planting Plant. I love to see a robin in the garden. Take care of that sore throat.

Oh good grief Oma, just what you don't want during the night

Daisy it will take you a while to get used to the different side opening. It took me ages to get used the the petrol cap on my current car being on the opposite side to all my previous cars!

I really enjoyed my library morning, it was good to be back. I wore warm jeans and a thick jumper. There were fan heaters so I was never actually cold at all! My shift is 3 hours and I intended to stay one but actually did 2, and completed everything. I had plenty of sits down and chats in that time

This afternoon I had another bath after my success at the weekend!
We are going round to see friends after tea tonight. They are going on holiday later this week so we will have catch up first.

Afternoon everyone. Went to Tai Chi this morning with a friend which is always a good laugh, I don't think I take it seriously enough, of course we have to have a coffee afterwards, was good to get out to be honest. It is trying to brighten up here now but it has been a Bristol grey day so far. Don't know about anyone else but I hate these dark mornings and dark afternoons, I think I must suffer from SAD, some would say, yes you are! x

I hate winter Jane! Everything about it, dark mornings, evenings, the cold. I think that's why I'm such fan of Christmas, it brightens everything up for a few weeks

No Brian won't get back to sleep as 5 is late for him waking he isn't a long sleeper.
His heads fine and the radiator is still playing up but each time he tightens the nuts its getting less so just a case of getting it tight enough but not over tightening .
poir Eva will wonder what's happening getting moved out of the way bless her.
