    I've had a nice day
I wanted a bath so much that OH and I decided I should just go for it and we would get me out somehow!
With the help of a soft memory foam cushion to protect my knee and OH standing by I managed to get out. I can't pretend getting out wasn't uncomfortable, but definitely worth it for a lovely bath. And it will get easier!
Then I watched the series finale of Taskmaster, a programme which makes me laugh.
Our friend is coming to tea and OH is cooking, so all in all a good day!

It's a bit late in the day, but very happy birthday to Mr Oma and Nanto's GD2. I hope both birthdays have been well-and truly celebrated.

Plant, at least you've got your pansies. I still haven't got any, but badly want to winter colour in the tomato troughs.

Gem, I'm sure you and GD had a lot of fun in the dancewear shop. I didn't even know that such places existed - I always got dragged into shops selling models of things like cars and planes! I should think this very cold weather makes your knee painful. Has the nice warm bath helped? I'm glad you've had a lovely day.

Oma, how lovely that GS1 came home for B's birthday. He's a very thoughtful young man.

I arrived at the GDs' craft stall just as they had finished setting up! They'd set the stall out very nicely after their mum and dad had put up a borrowed gazebo for them. They were both excited, (the GDs, that is!) especially GD1 and I hoped they would sell at least some of their wares. After about an hour or so, it started to rain, and it rained for the rest of the day. But the planned events took place - Father Christmas who had favoured a motor bike instead of his usual sleigh (the fair was in a motor cycle museum - Enfys will know where I mean). A nearby infants' school choir came and kept us all entertained for a while, and there were quite a lot of customers around. I don't know if I'd been as keen if it wasn't for the girls.

GD2 got quite cold so we went and had a look round the other stalls. Most people were happy to have a little chat and tell GD about their goods. Then later we went and visited all the animals - alpacas, goats, ducks, geese, fish ponds and two aviaries. But by 2 o'clock everyone was getting fed up with the weather and most of us started to pack up. By then there were cars stuck in the mud in the field, so I was glad of my 4-wheel drive.

Both GD2 had sold more than half their stock, so they were very pleased. Mum, Dad and Grandma were just glad to get indoors in front of a cosy log-burner!

I'm so glad I made a chicken casserole for tonight. All I have to do is heat it up!

          Raining this morning.

Oma, glad B had a good birthday.

Daisy, a shame about the weather yesterday, but the girls did well.

Oma, glad B had a nice birthday.

Hubby out for an hour later. He's going with his brother to help him pick something up from a shop.

Dinner is mash, vegetables and gravy. I bought some grill steaks, so we are going to give them a try. Bought them last week from Iceland.

Good morning Nan2 and anyone else passing though today.

Its very wet here too Nan2 and rained all night by the look of it.

Oma, I'm glad B enjoyed his birthday.

The GDs craft stall sounds a great success despite the weather Daisy. I can imagine how welcome the warmth of the log burner was!

Tesco delivery this morning. OH is meeting an old friend for lunch in town. School pick up for GS1 for me later.

Gemini, so pleased you managed a bath, it sounded a bit of a production.

Daisy, sounds like a very wet and cold day for the sale but the girls did well.

Oma, I find cyclamens are inclined to rot off if it is wet but I do have some. Pleased that B had a good birthday, pleased GS and girlfriend were able to be there.

Lunch in the village hall today, the new manager and her OH have certainly increased it’s use. There are three rooms and are used by different groups. It used to be very underused until the new manager arrived. The lunch is held once a month and is organised by the Residents Ass.

It was a bit of a production Plant, but will be easier now I have my method worked out. I have some aching muscles today from trying to get into the right position for getting out! I will try another bath in a few days, back to showers until then!

I hope your lunch is good.

Oma our hairdresser rarely stops to draw breath!

Good Monday morning everyone. We have sunshine! Pity it's a day late.

Gem, you'll be hoping in and out of the bath without a thought very soon.

Plant, I hope you are enjoying a good lunch in good company! Have you heard how little H is settling down in her new home?

Oma, it's sounds more like a party at your house, rather than a hairdressing session. I bet B was pleased to see GS and L on his birthday.

Nanto, I hope the grill steaks are good. I'm never sure whether to grill or fry steak, so it will be interesting to compare.

Our new fridge and freezer arrived this morning, even though we never got a message to say it was half an hour away! I wasn't even dressed, so that must have been a fright for the poor delivery man. I'm looking forward to putting everything in them and even planning where I'll put what! How sad is that.

I haven’t heard from GD but I am sure DD and Sil have. Lunch was good, good company. Home made tomato soup, roll, cheese and fruit. Lots of coffee, tea or juice. The Money they make goes to charities.

Daisy, enjoy your new fridge and freezer

We have been lucky with our Cyclamen I’ve had three in the boarder for two years now they growing well ,
The two I lost was due to next doors cat digging them up to do their business .
Hope GD & H are settling in .

We went to The Range after everyone left and I found a Gingerbread house there almost the same as the one in Mainsgill farm at a fraction of the price
Mainsgill was £85 In the Range 19.99
                          Im very pleased with it

That is really nice Oma, what a price difference!

GD and H have been here this afternoon, she is going to take her car back with her . The equipment and cupboards in the new abode, she says, are filthy and she doesn’t want to use them. Stepfather is going back again to India for his job but not until next Sunday, they will clean it then. Washing machine out in a shed so GD has brought her washing. H still not quite recovered, just wanted to cuddle GD and suck her thumb until her cousins arrived and then she was so excited she didn’t stop hugging them. I don’t think she is very happy, probably confused.

Oma, I find the cyclamen rot in pots, perhaps the border would be better for them.

Oh poor baby , I hope she settles soon
I bet GD can’t wait to get them cleaned she will feel much better knowing they are safer to use especially when using equipment to make meals for H .

Plant, the lunch sounds lovely, and how good that they make a profit for charities. I'm sure H will settle down soon. It's early days and once your GD has got the house how she likes it, she will feel more relaxed as well. Little ones soon pick up on parents' moods.

I had some cyclamen in a shallow pot for years - last winter's hard frost killed them off though.

The fridge and freezer are up and running, but the sink has developed a blockage which isn't easy to clear. The pipe run has two right angles in it, and it seems to be one of these that's the problem. We will probably have to take a cupboard out to get to it!

Oma, it sounds as though you only needed balloons and streamers to make it a real party this morning. The gingerbread house is a good bargain compared to the other one you saw.
