Autumn has arrived with a vengeance this morning. It's wet and dark, but at least not too cold.

Good morning, it is very cold out on the bike!! I have got my warm jacket and gloves ready for my next ride out.

Lidl have air tight containers on offer, when you spend €10 you get a stamp, now digital, you need 10 for one container, GD1 sent me a code for one, when I was cashing it in the woman in front of me said she had a few and would I like them as she and her daughter got full sets last year. Now, every week she lets me have her vouchers so I have replaced all my old ones. Very kind of her as I hardly even do so much shopping in one goimage.pngThis isn't my cupboard, just how they look when filled.

I got into and out of my car fine yesterday so will try a short drive today. My surgeon told me I
could as soon as I was ready ( but only because I drive automatic and it's my left leg!) I wouldn't be comfortable for a long drive so it will be local ones for a while.
We are going to the cinema this afternoon.

Liaaie, those containers look good. How kind of the lady to give you her tokens. Kitchen storage containers are the bane of my life - I never seem to have the right size/shape for dry goods, and anything I want to put in the fridge seems to be the 'wrong' shape!

Gem, well done on getting in and out of the car. That's a great step forwards - pun intended! A few local journeys will build your confidence and you'll soon be back to normal driving. Enjoy the cinema - have you found a film you both want to see?

Glamm, how lovely that your DS1 has such a lovely girl friend. It must have been great sitting watching the world go by my the river. Your poor DD. I feel so sorry for her, and can imagine her frustration at being signed off for so long. She's such a lovely lady and I bet she can't wait to get back to normal. I hope you find some nice throws from Dunelm. I like the teddy throws as well. What colours are you looking for?

Plant, it sounds as though your lady is a gem, and it's kind of her to offer alternate weeks. How would that work with bed changing? It's a sad comment on the value placed on education that as a pre-school teacher she can earn more cleaning (and that's not intended as a 'devaluing' of anybody who helps look after others by cleaning etc).

Plant my auntie has her cleaner every other week which is plenty. She changes her bed for her, and auntie says she just turns her duvet over and sleeps on the other side on the 2nd week

I love the Teddy bear throws , that’s what I bought the first time ,
one in cream for me and a green one for GS but then he wanted the cream one too,
I bought the same in a smaller size for me as I said the first one was really too big for my needs .
