She phoned early this morning her arm is sore but she’s ok had a bit of a temperature during night but that’s gone now ,

GS1 coming for dinner it’s only just over 10 days since we seen him but seems ages , he rings all the time for long chats but not the same as seeing him and feeding him ,
I went out yesterday and bought a bag full of his favourite biscuits and cakes for him to take back to the flat 😀

Need to pop to Iceland this morning but apart from that a easy day .

I had a message from DS yesterday to say they are hosting a family lunch for my 85 birthday, it was a lovely surprise and I felt quite tearful, silly me. The lunch is the day before I go to Normandy, busy weekend. I have a friend coming to help me sort out a border this morning, looks like it will be fine.

Oma, Enjoy your time with GS, he is one in a million. The halibut was a treat but I will not be repeating it in a hurry.

Good morning everyone Happy Friday to all,

Its been very quiet here then this morning the gardeners arrived to cut the lawns at the back of the bungalows and trim the bushes so peace is shattered for the time being.

I'm missing not being in contact with my DD on a daily basis but she is phoning every couple of days giving me a catch up on what they are doing,she was telling me about the old artefacts in "Side" old town apparently all the old foundations light up in the evenings and it is a spectacular sight.They are having a good rest .

DS1 is off to Devon next week with the new girlfriend they are going to visit her family what ever that means ? I am not even asking any questions just so happy he is enjoying her company I have not met her as yet.

My DS1 has treated me to a Hotel Chocolar(sp) Velvetiser thingy to make creamy chocolate hot drinks of a night time you would be amazed at the difference in the prices but he is tec savvy and got the best price with free chocolate pods and postings its being delivered today.

I took myself off to the Town Centre on Tuesday and had my nails done again all sparkly pink this time I was only the 2nd person in so was in and out in under an hour then went for a coffee & cheese on toast at a little cafe spending the time people watching .

Still no sign of new neighbour moving in ? no curtains etc very strange it will be 6 weeks this next Monday.

I'm going to visit Jim next week at his care home according to his niece he is really enjoying life and new friends.

Off now to do a dark wash of DS1s stuff for his holiday trip need to get them done and dried for him before the weather turns nasty again.

GS1 must have gone to school as he isn't here

DD2 is coming tomorrow so no need to for us to deliver GD's present.
OH went to the Drs surgery this morning to request codeine for me, which they have issued.
I am struggling with pain especially at night and they had said at the hospital I should ask my Drs for a prescription as I only came home with a few days supply. I manage in the daytime with paracetamol, but need something stronger at night for a while longer.

B bought me a Hotel chocolate Velvatiser last year I have had many lovely cups of hot chocolate with it , came with different flavours of chocolate some I liked some I hated , I also use Geeen &Black chocolate powder in mine so delicious.
Nice your DS has found a young lady hope he's very happy 😊

Good thing getting something stronger to take at night . Pain is slways worse then isnt it , no need to put up with it if you can get stronger pain relief xx

GS spent about 3 hours with us came just on 10 and left about 30 minutes ago .
He had a bump in the car yesterday ,
Coming out of a back lane parked cars at each side so he was slowly edging out as he couldn't see well when a Taxi came across his path and GS went into the side of him.

Low impact but Taxi door dented and a bit damage to GSs bonnet and grill
He was gutted but no one hurt and insurance sorting it our.
DD went and picked him up as he didn't want to drive the car till he knows its safe .
Him and Lucie going back by bus tomorrow
Insurance are arranging a car till his has been looked at and repaired .

Oma, so sorry to hear about the bump in the car, these things happen.

Just had my friend here to help tidy a border, it had got very overgrown, she has hacked it all back, problem now is to wait for the garden waste bins are emptied so that we can get rid of the rubbish. Just spent a couple of hours with H, she is such a comic. They have gone shopping now.

Oma, my DD1 drove into a skip outside Edinburgh station in her first week as a driver! These things happen and are unsettling but you just have to put them behind you don't you? At least, as in my DD's case, no one was hurt

Got a few jobs done today.
Washed the bedding and it was blowing like billyho on the line.Been very breezy all day.

While hubby was out i got the grass cut,so garden is all tidy.

It's rained all day here , I'm stripping the bed in the morning I'm hopeful it will be a dry day.
Got all my kitchen cupboards inside and out cleaned this afternoon,
Didn't intend cleaning but a maple syrup bottle has fallen over in one of the cupboards so had to empty the shelf to clean it up and one led to the other till I did them all .

Hello, everyone. I'm still reading posts, but it's not easy to find a few quiet minutes to comment on everything.

We were going out for a meal tonight but the pub we wanted to go to has a monthly 'pie supper club' evening and would have been packed and noisy, so were going tomorrow instead. I cooked a red lentil dal instead. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. It's been a beautiful sunny day today and we sat out in the garden having a cup of tea at 5 o'clock and had to put the sun umbrella up!

Good morning everyone, I am very early, woke up thinking about the renovation then couldn't sleep!!! A neighbour and myself went to see one of the apartments that had the renovation 2 years ago, the young lady is a daughter of another neighbour and asked us to go, we were impressed!! Now we just need people to vote for it and not listen to the "cowboy" stories that are doing the rounds. We have a meeting on Monday evening, hoping it is very busy and people get to know what really is going to happen.

Daisy, we have the same weather, 25 degrees yesterday. It is going to change at the end of next week or so I read.

I have been sorting my wardrobe out, I have got 2 extra shelves fitted in one cupboard, I should have done that years ago, much neater, only, I went in the car to the DIY place, not very far, there was an accident on the opposite side of the road whilst driving there, it took me almost a full hour to get home whilst it usually takes 10 minutes!

Oma, your GS would be shaken after the accident, luckily no-one was hurt.

I am going to the material market in Delft, I don't need much really, I hope to get some sewing done this coming week though.
