I'm glad you had a good afternoon Nan2.
I had quite a good night and have got washed dressed and back downstairs.
Morning meds and ice pack in place!
Nurse S watched me come downstairs and has brought me my porridge and coffee“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Well I did try, must do better Nanto.
My National Trust meeting has been cancelled as several of the members have been on a holiday to a Yorkshire Hotel and have now got Covid. I now have a free day apart from a Waitrose shop. Delivered birthdays presents yesterday to GGD1 and my Dil whose birthday it is today. Those ladies who came to Birmingham, do you remember I bought something from the Escape Room for my GGS, it had secret messages and things to solve. I gave it to him yesterday whilst his sister, who was 4’ ,opened her presents. He was absolutely thrilled with it. GGD was thrilled with her present and Dil with hers. Nice to get things right. Sun is shining, hope it lasts. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Morning Ladies
Plant you will have to tell us how he did with the escape room gift 😁
Two Birthdays within a day of each other , It’s all or nothing isn’t it 😁
Well done getting the graphic on 👏👏👏

Nice to have a bit time on your own to get on with things.

DD3 and baby E are coming over with lunch for us
DD is calling in this afternoon, so a nice day for visitors.
The boiler man is here to hopefully sort that out. It went the day I went into hospital and there has been no heating or hot water since.
Oma, get some rest today. OH should be around for most of the time for the next 3 days.
I have to do my physio exercises 4 times a day and walk around a little regularly. I'm not planning on going up and downstairs apart from morning and night at the moment though. Everything is very stiff and swollen as you can imagine. I feel a bit like a robot walking!
I can use ice for 20 minutes ever 2 hours, and I have painkillers I have to take regularly at the moment. ..... and lactulose due to all the drugs slowing up the system, and a anti coagulant to ward off blood clots!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I will see my GGS on Sat Oma, so I can find out then how he is liking his present, he is very bright (sorry GGM boasting) like his dad and I am sure he will like it and be very careful to put it back in the packet so not to loose the bits of paper.
Gemini, you seem to have worked out a routine with regards to the stairs, I am sure S and the family will not let you starve. Your GS1 will be keen to help you with your walking. Enjoy your visitors. Don’t forget to rest as well and keep taking the tablets.

A bit late for "Good Friday Morning, everyone", but the sun's shining, so "good morning" anyway! It was quite chilly first thing and our heating cut in with the thermostat only on 14C!
Gem, I'm really glad you made it upstairs last night - I have to admit I was a bit worried about you spending the night on your recliner. Nurse S is doing a great job looking after you. xx Enjoy a lovely day with your visitors, and hopefully the boiler is now fixed. Every day will bring some improvement and reduction in the pain, and I'm sure you are being a model patient. xx
Plant, what a gorgeous cute kitty! Well done on getting to grips with graphics. I bet your GGS loved the Escape Room gift - what a lovely idea. (All Granny and Great Granny boasts are compulsory on GRU). Isn't it great when you find the right present for the right person - both of your birthday girls sound really happy with theirs.
Oma, I hope you are having a relaxing day now. Was B ok with his flu jab? Isn't it frustrating when a shop hasn't got a regular item in stock! Hopefully their stock will come in before you could get it online.
Nanto, did you get lots of jobs done while OH was out, or did you put your feet up and relax?Look forward to hearing about yesterday. xx
We had a busy morning - Sainsbury's delivery and bins. Someone calling round to collect some wood from OH and my hairdresser. I've had my hair cut a bit shorter this time - nice to have a bit of a change, but I hope I won't regret it!

He was fine with his Jab, he came home and washed the car ,
I have ordered some trousers on JD Williams they have the Slimma ones I like so ordered 4 pair ,
I also looked for a promo code and got £19 off so happy with that.
Sometimes a change of hairstyle is a bit daunting but I’m sure you will be ok you have lovely hair anyway😁

This time next week it will be less swollen and stiff I bet and you will be more mobile , you just have to have patience
If done the ironing and Put a hair dye on it’s sort of a lighter brown blends in well I think ,
My next one I’m having my hairdresser do , I can’t be bothered with all the faff on nowIm not fat just 6ft too small

I was fine with my flu jab last weekend Oma but OH felt under the weather for a few hours.
It's been sunshine and showers here Nan2, sunny now.
Lovely to see the family, no one stayed too long.
I'm very tired which they warned us was to be expected.

Nanto, you got the timing just right with the weather today. I failed miserably! The lawn looks like a jungle, but it rained before the dew dried off it. The weather's so changeable, isn't it.
Gem, No wonder you're tired after your op. But lovely to see family and they were tactful not staying too long. Is S cooking your favourite meals for you? xx
Oma, that was a good promo code, and 4 new pairs of trousers should see you through the winter. Thank you for your kind comment about my hair. It will certainly be easier to manage, but I'm forever changing my mind about hairstyles. Your new colour sounds very nice, but I can understand you wanting the hairdresser to do it next time - it's hard not to be messy and hair dye makes more mess than most things.
I don't seem to have achieved much today - not sure why. The weather perked up again this afternoon and I took Eva for a long walk in the Forest. I was just about to let her off lead when a deer ran out just a few feet in front of us. I could see another one hiding in the bracken. That's the second time that's happened recently. Then a bit further on there was a small herd of cattle, then there were several ponies around and finally two squirrels in a fallen tree right by the path. Oh, and we saw one human! Still, Eva had a good sniff round and the sun was shining so I was happy.
I'd better go and get us some dinner. Not in the mood for cooking tonight though!
