Gem, glad your Mum enjoyed having her tree decorated. I wonder which she enjoyed the most - the decorating or the chocolate fudge cake. What a shame S misses out again on an in-person check up, but I hope she doesn't have to wait too long for the hone appointment. Gem, thanks - I'll pass your good wishes on to DS1.

Oma, your MIL! You could write a book. I'm glad the young man gave as good as he got though!

Nanto - doesn't a beautiful rainbow lift your spirits on a wet day!

Lizzie, did your parcel arrive in time for you to have a walk?

I got some serious housework done this morning - not just flicking a duster around! But it all took longer, of course. The washing nearly dried outside until the rain started again. It's been off and on all day, so the bedding had to go in the drier. I had a long chat with one of my sisters-in-law this afternoon. We hadn't chatted for several weeks, which is unusual. Their lovely little Border Terrier has got to have a cruciate ligament repair operation next week - he's not a dog to rest quietly, so I think they are going to have to be very inventive to find ways of keeping him calm post-op.

It was pouring with rain when we'd finished on the phone, so Eva had to wait for walkies until tonight. And then it rained again while we were out. Some times you can't win.

Its a dry start to the day for a change.

Daisy, it was lovely to see the rainbow.

Gem, pleased you had a lovely visit with your mum.
I bet she is looking forward to tomorrow, when you go for the party.

Been up quite a while, so had breakfast, cleaned the downstairs loo and the back porch.

Parcel coming today from Amazon. Some light up bath toys for Tommie's Christmas present.
That is last present we needed to buy.
Then we will give him some money for his bank account.

I think dinner will be scampi, fries and peas.

        Morning Nanto/ladies

bright dry morning but mind it’s bitter cold here,

        Daisy
It always feels good when you get those jobs done and out of the way ,
Nice to catch up and chat an excuse to sit down 😁

        Nanto
My GS loves Scampi but I can’t serve them to him here with my Allergy , things like that are not allowed to be in the house ,
I don’t mind as I’m very careful but B doesn’t like me taking chances ,
So poor GS only gets them if he goes out for a meal .
We doing same with Fin for Christmas just giving money , he’s only 6 month and doesn’t understand besides they get lots Of toys don’t they ,

        Gem
I bet your Mum really enjoyed he cake 😁
Poor S trying so hard to get to Appointment then not making it , very frustrating, did she get to golf ?

        Plant
Did your lady come and do your jobs , hope it’s all done and your pleased with it .

Waiting for SIL dropping Storm off , DD has to go to meetings today , GS at college and SIL at work .

Did not sleep good so got up and did my housework then polished my tables with bees wax ,
I really dislike the smell of bees wax but it does a lovely job
now having a rest with a cup of tea before I tackle the stairs ,Thats if Storm isn’t here before that as when he comes he wants to help by getting in the way😁.

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good Friday morning everyone. It's sunny here, at the moment.

Nanto, thank you for such a lovely greeting graphic this morning. You must be pleased all your Christmas shopping is done. I agree about giving Tommie some money for his bank account. I'm sure he'll adore the light up toys in the bath, but as you and Oma say, they have so much 'stuff'.

Oma, what a pity you've gone back to not sleeping well. I bet the polished tables look lovely - I like the smell of beeswax. When you walk into a house and you can smell it I always think it seems homely and welcoming. Eva is like Storm - she likes to "help" with any jobs around the house, and I end up playing with her instead of getting on with things.

          I hope everybody is ok.

            Good morning.

So much housework! Nan2, and Oma, and Daisy yesterday

Nan2, I was looking at light up bath toys to buy GS3 from my mum. I must get them ordered!

Oma, S did get to golf! To be fair the hospital would have fitted her in when she got there, but then she would have missed golf!

Double school pick today. On the way I am dropping off a felting kit which I brought from the Cats Protection League. It is a cat angel tree topper. I really don't think I would be able to make it so my friend who is very artistic and practical ( and loves cats) will do it. I have sent her photos of my cat Daisy and she will get the markings close to hers.

            Happy Friday everyone.

Oma, Yes my kitchen is all washed down and everything back, she made a good job of it, I am very pleased. Enjoy your day with Storm.

Daisy, we are having some strange weather, it must be difficult to find a time to walk Eva. We had a downpour yesterday and it was pouring out of the gutters.

Gemini, enjoy your party with your mum, I hope she feels happy to join in or just sit and watch.

Nanto, I have started to buy presents but nowhere near to have finished.

I am going to spend the day with DD and H at a soft play centre. I am just a minder of the bags etc. I am sitting here and have spotted a large cobweb across a window and the culprit curled up waiting for something to eat, he will not be expecting me!

Hallo everyone, I have been to do the coffee for the arts class, the man decided he would close the windows and turn the heating up, I almost melted!!!! I am now officially in charge of the plants!!! I have been watering them etc as long as I have worked there, but, officially someone else was supposed to do it, I have never noticed anyone else had been but that is me! I like to see plants recovering! They have asked if I will help at the Christmas arrangement work shop, that is on the 20th December.

Daisy, I did get my walk, but, after waiting for the parcel it fitted in the letter box!

Nanto, you are well settled with your Christmas presents.

Plant, you will be pleased with your smart, clean kitchen.

Gem, enjoy the party with your mum, that is tomorrow I think.

DS1 was in Leeds and Bradford this last week, he had a flight to Leeds on Saturday evening, it couldn't land because of thick fog so they were diverted to Newcastle, he said it was all very well organised and that a row of taxi's was there, waiting to take them to Leeds. Instead of being in his hotel by 11pm it was 3am! He was home yesterday evening, now Paris next week for a few days then he has had enough this year! He should be going to Sweden but has postponed it.

Lizzie, I'm sure the people who run the arts class are delighted to have someone reliable to care for the plants. Are the plants for decoration or are they used for drawing/painting models? I'm sure the Christmas arrangement work shop will be very interesting and creative. It's typical isn't it, that the parcel fitted into the letterbox. If you had gone out it would have been too big!

Your DS1 does a lot of travelling. It sounds very glamorous until things like that happen. Getting to bed at 3 am is no fun when you have to work the following day. I hope the trip to Paris is less hassle for him.

Plant, Eva's funny when it's raining. She won't go in the garden, but say the magic word (walkies!) and she's raring to go. I hope you are enjoying your day with DD and H at the soft play. Is it very noisy? Did you deprive the spider of his food trap or his life? It must feel lovely in your kitchen. Does it make you want to do lots of cooking or baking?

Gem, the cat angel kit sounds lovely, although I know it would be beyond my skills to make it up. How lovely that your friend will do it. I hope the double school pick up goes smoothly. Are you taking them back to yours for tea?

The parcel from Amazon arrived earlier.
Thats the last of the Christmas shopping.
I don't think i need any more Christmas food shopping.
So it will just be ordinary shopping now.
Some Christmas cards to be posted. I usually post them on December 1st, but due to the strikes they will be posted on the 2nd.

DS1 and GD2 both arrived to have dinner with us.

Been a good day weatherwise. Had some sunshine today.

I was thinking about my Christmas cards today , I usually have them done by now but just haven’t gotten around to it yet .

Just as well you have been looking after the plants
Your poor DS having to land at Newcastle ,it’s quite a journey by Taxi to Leeds ,
I bet he’s looking forward to a rest from all that travelling .

                      Gem
I wonder how the cat felting turns out will you post a picture please .

Daisy, the are class is in the building where I do the coffee mornings, all different activities are held there, from whist to art classes etc etc. It is a huge space and that is where the plants are.

Oma, your poor baby being ill, at least he liked the shortbread!!!

DS quite enjoyed the ride in the taxi! I would have been wanting my bed!

Nanto, you seem to get a lot of visitors to share your delicious meals!

Poor old Storm! They always look so pathetic when they're ill don't they ? Hope he's soon back to his normal self.

I've tried needle felting, but just couldn't get on with it. Got to make sure you avoid your fingers when you're stabbing the felt with your needle!! Hope the cat topper turns out well Gem.

Been a nice day here today but I believe we're in for heavy rain on Sunday night, then the weather will become more settled and drier. I hope so because my garden is getting a make over starting on the 5th.

Doing a glass fusing class tomorrow. Making a wreath for the table and Christmas decorations. Looking forward to it.

                          Night night ladies x
