Pleased to report that the sun is still shining for Plant's GS's wedding though the wind is a bit chilly! I often see an old London Transport double decker going past the house with 'To the wedding' on its destination board. I wonder if that's the bus Plant's getting!

Had my Covid booster this morning. I walked down as it was a lovely morning and was glad I did. The traffic was queueing on the road back to the roundabout. Took 45 minutes from joining the queue until I was done, so wasn't too long a wait and it all seemed well organised in the marquees. Getting used to walking up that long hill now, not quite as bad as it wasthe first time I did it! Quick visit to Tesco this afternoon for some bits and pieces to see us over the weekend and some Euros for my trip to Italy next week.

Went to DD's for dinner which was lovely. DS is going there next week while I'm on holiday.

Decide that I'm going to visit DS at C******** so off now to look at flights and hotels. His flat is too small to stay there and at least I've got my own space in a hotel!

Hope Daisy's had a good journey and enjoys her break. Have a good evening ladies xx

I fell asleep on the sofa again today,
felt refreshed so Did the ironing ad cleaned upstairs then planted the new plants in the boarder,

DD arrived with Storm,she had walked him over but her Dad took them back in the car
Storm was limping and we think he’s pulled a muscle so didn’t want to walk him back.

Can’t get to vet till Tuesday now so he will be resting till then, just gentle small walks for next few days.

We've arrived in Chester. Not a bad journey, only a couple of hold ups, but it's never trouble-free and we have no gas because the regulator tap broke and we can't get another one until tomorrow. No great problem, I just couldn't cook!!!

But the campsite Wi-fi is also broken which is worse. I'll keep in touch as and when I can though.

HOpe everyone is ok - sorry I haven't had chance to read back yet.

No plans for me today. OH is playing golf this afternoon .
We went to Wilko and Tesco yesterday afternoon and I didn't get the crumble made, so that is my plan for today. And maybe pushing the hoover round!

The wedding was wonderful, so different from all the other weddings I have been to. I will write about it under a different heading.

WG, that is where I had one of my jabs, that is my DS’s and family doctors but they live up the other hill well done for walking it. I hope you have a lovely holiday in Italy, it should be a bit warmer there. Going to visit DS at Christmas sounds. Lovely idea.

Daisy, Pleased you had a good journey, what a nuisance about the gas, at least you have an excuse not to cook but do you have hot water or is that from the electric hook-up. We didn’t even have a toilet in our first caravan so it was a walk over to the toilet block. Have a lovely time once you are settled in.

Oma, Sorry to hear Storm has a poorly leg, I hope the vet has a magic cure.

Daisy sending vibes down the M53 to Chester not too far away from me where are you staying I hope you have found some gas by now. A good excuse to dine out in Chester me thinks !!

Plant I'm so glad you enjoyed the wedding I do love a family gathering.

Oma poor storm and his poorly leg rest and TLC will do the job I'm sure.
My Oliver has gone on the missing list again I saw him outside yesterday morning but he hasn't been home since then its not cold outside though,I have a feeling he has gone to Jim's house Jim spoils him and he makes himself comfortable in his lounge,once I take the chicken out of the oven the smell may entice him home hopefully.

The dreaded sciatica has kicked in again on the right hand side its very painful to be honest I am still waiting for referral from GP for MRI scan its been over 12 weeks now they have said it can be up to 24 weeks I have said I will be available for any cancellations the pain relief tablets are not working too well now.

My DD has returned to work she has tested negative for 2 days now she still doesn't sound 100% and I have told her to take it slowly she is such a workaholic that girl she can't sit still for 5 mins.

Will close now and make a well deserved bacon buttie I've been up since 6.30am and feel peckish.

Gem, I'm trying to organise my suitcase!!! Really must get on with it, or I'll have nothing suitable to wear!

Chilly here again this morning. Went into spare room to find a sweater only to remember I'd packed them all away in those deflatable bags and they're in the loft! Found a suitable top in a drawer, so that will have to do for the time being! DD phoned and asked if we fancied going to the market in a nearby town and have something to eat there. We picked her up as it's on the way, bought some cookies and baklava and had lunch in a nice little cafe. She was meeting her OH to go and look at cars, so we left her in the Tesco car park and came home.

Felt awful last night after my jab. Cold, coughing, sniffling and I didn't eat my dinner! Was in bed by 10 o'clock, took a couple of paracetemol because my arm was really sore and din't wake up until 9.30 ish! Arm still a bit tender, but feel so much better! Seemingly the new vaccine is a combination of the old and new Moderna especially formulated to tackle the Omicron strain. But as the chap administering the jabs said, if you feel groggy at least you know it's working!! So, fingers crossed he wasn't telling porkies!

Suitcase is calling, so must go! Have a good afternoon and evening ladies x
