Nanto coincidentally I’m cooking a roast chicken today. Just for me but though I’ve had other types of chicken I couldn’t be bothered to do a roast just for me. I bought a small one which will do for two days and the rest can go in a pie or curry(mild!) later on.

Lizzie how on earth did you manage to bang your head in bed?

Oma I’m glad you were in time for your delivery. Some treats in there I expect!

As rain has threatened all day I decided to do some work in the garden this morning and do indoor chores after lunch. As it happens it hasn’t actually rained yet but it is very dark.

Clover, I was being lazy! I have knee problems and I have a special cushion for when I go to bed, I had forgotten to get it out of the bottom drawer of a chest of drawers next to my bed, instead of getting out of bed and opening the drawer to get it I did it whilst still in my bed, I reached out then as I got myself pulled up to get back into the bed I banged the back of my head on a sharp corner of the chest of drawers!!!! They say that accidents do happen!

Plant only ever had it when at Bs Aunty in Hamburg, It takes a while to make and you have to have the right cut of pork

We ordered Mettenden spiced sausages , lovely with sauerkraut and belly pork or a sort of white cabbage stuff ,
Bierwurst & Teewurst .

Cant get them anywhere apart from The German deli , sometimes Lidle do Bierwurst but only now and again .
We tend to buy quite a few Pks for the freezer as postage is very expensive, not worth just ordering one or two Pks .

I hope these Antibiotics work for your skin , did you get the results of the biopsy ?

Its never stopped raining it’s almost night like out there .

Plant a run around the garden is a great way for little ones to run off steam. I have used it myself when they are on sleepovers

Oma the rain came to us too. It's a miserable evening. Luckily I got the washing in just before it started.

OH has made us cheese and mushroom omlettes for tea. We've got the first episode of the latest series of All Creatures Great and Small to watch on Catch Up, so off I go!

Oma, the Kassler we had in Germany was a smoked joint of pork. We were surprised how much meat Germans ate, not many fresh veg mainly a small amount of salad.

I know Plant , it seems to be every meal , Cabbage in different forms and potatoes are staple with most meat meals.
Apartfrom that very few veg.

We have quite a bit of chicken left from yesterday, so today its chips,beans and chicken.

Reflexology for me this morning, moved from Tuesday. School pick ups for GD and GS2 this afternoon, and they are staying overnight. Fish and chips for tea.

So far, fine after my jab. Had a very good and funny speaker at the National Trust meeting. DD and Sil just got back from holiday.

Oma, hope you had some lovely cuddles with F, he must be quite big now.

My doctor phoned, she has prescribed anti-biopics for my rash which has now been diagnosed as not being psoriasis. The pathologist suggested that it could be pityriasis lichenoides chronica. I do hope they are right and I am going to see the back of it soon.

Omelette for dinner tonight.
