Still looks like your Josh though.

I bought a vacuum sealer and it arrived today.
Hubby said is that another gadget that will get used once, then be left in a cupboard.
Told him it help make more room in the freezer,he said like we need more stuff for the freezer.
I was going to try it this afternoon, but we had visitors, so i didn't bother in case i made a b****r of it.
        Will try it tomorrow.

Enfys, that clock won't be much use then.

Nanto I have had a Vacuum sealer for years I can honestly say mine is used every day ,
I use it to vacuum cooked meats if I have opened a pk and haven't used it all , keeps it fresh for weeks
Although some meats like sliced corned beef will vacuum into one solid slice again .

I vacuum open pks of bacon , sausages etc , I Put a couple of chicken breasts or legs in separate bags just handy to take out a couple at a time . stuff for the freezer it stops freezer burn
I always buy extra rolls of bags from Lidl when they have them in they are cheaper and very strong .

I have even Vacuumed Bs medals and the children's baby hats and mitts to preserve them and keep them clean ,
Ideal for sealing shampoo etc when traveling to stop spillage

As you can tell im a great fan

              Good morning everyone.
A sunny bright morning here with no sign of snow!

Enfys, perhaps it was a celling clock

That vacuum sealer sounds interesting Nan2. Let us know how it goes using it.

Oma, I wouldn't want my GSs to do that to their hair, but it's part of being young to try things, and he will always be a handsome boy whatever. He still looks good, and it will grow

I hope Daisy enjoyed her spa day.

              How are you today Plant?

It was lovely to have DD3 round last night, and we drove her home just before 10. The GC were delighted to see her and got to feel baby moving
This afternoon we are going to see GDs dance show. There is one performance at 2pm today and two performances tomorrow. This show is postponed from 2020 and important to her. Otherwise we would not be coming out of out Public Places Avoidance a week before travel! I have asked for end of row seats, and we will wear our masks all the time. There are lovely home made cakes on sale but we will NOT be removing our masks to eat, drink or for any reason. We are collecting DD3 to take her with us as SIL isn't back, with car, until tomorrow. We are sitting with DD and with her dad, both of whom have had covid in the last month so pretty safe people to sit with!

              Happy Saturday to all.

Good Saturday morning everyone. We had quite a hard frost overnight, but the sun's shining, now.

I'll catch up later - sorry I didn't have a chance to pop in yesterday. I've just going for a shower and then going to collect Eva from DS2's, and I need to get back for the monthly dog food delivery later this morning. I don't fancy having to tidy out freezers on such a cold day, but needs must.

                Chat later. xx

Gemini, you certainly can’t miss your GD’s dance show, I bet she is excited.

I hope you had a good spa day Daisy.

Nanto, enjoy using your sealing device, I know Oma has had one for ages and if you stand still long enough you get sealed in her house.

Oma, it is nice that young men today take a pride in their appearance. Your GS is a lovely lad and really appreciates and loves you and B.

I am hoping to feel a bit stronger today, Daisy was right, you need lots of rest and sleep, I don’t think I listened to my body enough at first. Lovely and sunny here, blue sky but I expect it is cold out. Sil is going to Wales overnight with his brothers and sisters to scatter his mother’s ashes. They are going to Wales because his eldest sister lives there and is too poorly to travel here.

                      Morning ladies
Been to Sainsburys and Lidl , it’s cold out but at least it’s dry ,

Gem can you take pics at the dance show or is that frowned upon these days ?
I can imagine she will be so excited 😁
Lovely that the little ones could feel baby moving so special xx

Plant don’t try to push yourself , there is plenty of time take it slowly , you won’t have seen the Dr yesterday so have you booked another appointment yet ?

Nanto what a cute graphic I love it 😁
let me know what you think of your Vacuum ,
I got Tizzy to buy one before she died , she loved it and her OH vacuumed everything ,
He used all her bag roll up in one week she was quite cross with him I remember πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Gem I think of it as going through fazes when GS does these things like the bleached hair etc , he will grow out of these silly things πŸ™„

One thing I find hard to get my head around is how that fresh faced boy now has a chiselled jaw and looks like a man ,
He looks so different from two years ago when he still had his baby face πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Daisy all that dashing around will undo all the relaxation from your Spa day 😱😁

Its starting to come in dark again may get some rain I think .

Didnt sleep well at all last night it was a horrible night ,
I did intend Dying my hair today but I think I will leave it till tomorrow

Have a good day ladies xxx

Well i still haven't got round to trying the new vacuum sealer.
When we got home from the supermarket BIL from the bungalow rang and asked if we fancied going out for carvery.
We didn't need asking twice.Had a lovely afternoon with BIL and SIL.
I will try it out in the morning,if its the last thing i do.

Hope all those under the weather are feeling better.

At last i've tried the vacuum sealer and i'm happy with it.

A good weather forecast for today,so i've got a load of darks in the washer.
We are planning on doing some gardening this afternoon if it stays dry.

                          Have a good day ladies.

Good morning all. It's a cold frosty one here at the moment

Oma, how your GS has grown! He is very handsome. ( Are we allowed to say that now? It's become very on PC to comment on a female's appearance. Not supposed to say they are beautiful, we are supposed to point out their other qualities. It's getting that I'm afraid to open my mouth)
Our GD passed her test last month and I asked her was she enjoying driving, she said she was enjoying the driving but not the petrol. What a time to start owning and driving a car πŸš—!

How is everyone? Any plans for Easter? We don't have anything planned. We have lots of Easter eggs here for GC but as to whether we actually see them... Well we will have to wait and see.

On Friday we got up early as yet again a pane in the bedroom room window was being removed and replaced with a new piece as the old one had "blown " . I am not a huge fan of our windows they need replacing completely but that's going to cost ££££s We were also waiting for delivery from Tesco and the local butcher.
Anyway about 9.30 am I sat down with a cup of tea and said to OH "It's going to be a long morning waiting for people who arrive " I then stood up to get my self a magazine, glanced out of window and I noticed a group of people gathered around something. They were directly opposite our gate but I couldn't see what they were looking at as my neighbours car was blocking the view.
I said to OH I think a cat of dog must be injured but quickly changed my mind when I saw our other neighbour running up the road with a blanket.
It was then we could just make out some one doing CPR . In fact several people took turns until the ambulance arrived. In fact one fast response vehicle arrived, two ambulances, two police cars and one air ambulance.
We soon discovered that sadly it was our neighbour on the pavement. We think he must have had a heart attack. Even though everyone tried so hard to save him he was pronounced dead.
Half an hour before that OH had seen him on his way to the Co-op, as was his habit every morning. He was only a few steps away from his home.
He was a lovely man. We were chatting with him only a few days prior to this.

Rather awkwardly, the man came to repair the window and the butcher arrived when all this was going on. The road was blocked with traffic as the road was blocked with the ambulances so the everyone had to sit in their cars for almost an hour until the emergency vehicles had moved on.

We don't have anything planned for today. I could strip the bed I suppose as it looks as if it's the last dry day for a while.

                            Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Nan2, Mimi and everyone else looking in.

I'm glad you likes to vacuum thingy Nan2, maybe I should look into buying one.

Oma, did you have a better night last night? I hope so.

Oh Mimi, how sad about your neighbour and what a shock for the people who found him.
As you say, an unfortunately expensive time for your GD to start her driving life!

We greatly enjoyed GD's dance show. It was good, the little ones classes so cute, and my GD of course the most beautiful and best dancer For only 12 her poise and elegance at dancing is lovely. She is taller than me now and very slim.
Good to catch up with my ex, and DD2's best friend with her DD, plus DD3, who in fact we had seen the previous night. Fortunately for us and not them every one of them has recently recovered from covid, so we were in a safe group!
We are so glad we wore our FFP2 masks though, which we never removed. It was very crowded in there, too many rows for even pre covid times we all felt. I only saw 4 others wearing masks.
As I reminded myself, someone has to have it for you to catch it, and we were fully masked at all times and sanitised hands as soon as we were back at the car, so hopefully all will be well.
Two more shows today, I hope they go well and GD stay safe.

Two of our friends are coming to us for a catch up tonight. They go away just as we return so we wouldn't see each other for long time. We wont risk meeting them out but them coming here is fine.
Packing today, plus other things. I hope to see my mum tomorrow.

                              Happy Sunday ladies, stay well.
